Isnt it a real shame that with all the macho man figures and warrior figures Mattel rarely released a duster coat for all the warriors and a jacket for the macho man figures?
When I first bought the initial macho man defining moments figure I thought, wow these macho man figures are going to look great together with all the colourful jackets...same thoughts with the first ultimate warrior defining moments figure.
Even the latest defining moment figures with the exception of the latest flair figure, they have all looked like standard elite figures but with a heftier price tag.
Opinions?

I think you are picking a bad time to bring it up since the next dm macho man has an amazing cloth robe just as the newer dm flair. I agree on the whole but I think Mattel has been giving us more soft goods recently not just in the dm line. They know it's what we want

I agree they've been dropping the ball as of lately, with that being said I've been losing interest in the line and now I'm just cherry picking mostly wcw guys and some of the attires I like on some figures. I'm just hoping they give us more soft goods with future Stings (surfer and crow) and that they did their Sting figures since they seem to be all over the place.

If they would use the material they used with the HOF 4 Sting figure...THAT at least would be a sign Mattel gives a crap. Theres no reason to have jackets, coats, etc. that are a complete and utter struggle to remove.

I agree. We have to get more Warrior dusters, loads to choose from. Hopefully the DM Flair is a sign they'll do more cloth, but for the right gear. Guys like Taker and Sting don't need it, as they wore leather, and I feel the plastic is fine, but for Flair or Warrior it has to be cloth, same for Hennan if we get him in the tracksuit or weasel suit.

I'm always a fan of soft goods when articulation is concerned, so for instance I like t-shirts and jackets to be soft goods but vests I prefer plastic. Whatever they used for the Nasty Boys jacket was perfect if plastic had to be used as they're easy to take off.

Coats look ok plastic but they aren't very poseable

As long as we get Warrior WM12 with the proper duster, I'm good and all is forgiven. It's sucks that we didn't get those things in the past but we've seen Mattel have a desire to rerelease stuff. Who knows? Getting dusters and jackets could be something we get in a rerelease.

Is this where I ask Bill/Mattel for a top for my HOF Macho King?
Just put the top in a HOF box and charge me $19.99, I'll gladly pay it.
Thanks Bill.

Look, I respect Mattel. I don't know how things work in a business sense to make figures but I think defining moments is loosely used word around the halls of Mattel. The recent ric flair is not a defining moment. Sorry. In terms of using soft goods, the slim Jim Macho man figure was a huge let down due to the lack of soft goods and that figure could have been a defining moment, but they gave older ric flair a spot? Or ultimate maniacs warrior as well. He easily could have been a two pack with macho man. I don't understand the thinking of Mattel 80% of the time. I'm sure it's a budget issue but they should really fix this because some of these decisions are just mind blowing. Like the network spotlight with the wrong undertaker head. I think Mattel should give all star treatment to the legends like warrior and macho man etc and make them priority for soft goods.

I've only bought 1 Warrior and that's 1 too many but Macho and Flair deinitely need more jackets and robes with their figs for sure.

I would be ok with sleeveless dusters (Cody Rhodes/Goldust) for Warrior that were rubber/plastic. Being sleeveless you still have some mobility in them. Not everything needs to be cloth but it has to make sense to make it that stupid rubber material. The 90 Sting DM Jacket is a complete waste because you put it on him and all you can do with him is waddle him around singing "Fat guy in a little coat"

If they release a mass retail Warrior with a duster, it'll be plastic which defeats the purpose in my opinion.

Be glad they're releasing anything for that racist homophobic moron don't mean to be ignorant here but who are you referring to? I've never heard anything like that about any of these 3. I've heard Flair was an ass in his glory days but that comes with the territory ig.

I know I've said this a lot, but I really think people overrate soft goods here. To me, outside of tee shirts, cloth rarely if ever looks good on figures this scale.
