Today I found out the WWE Network add old pre-network episodes of NXT. Just watching a few of them got me thinking of how far it has come, and how much some superstars have changed. How in a few years it went from being just a developmental show to a Global phenomenon. Watching some of Bray Wyatts old vignettes and promos reminded me why I am a huge fan of his. Watching Seth Rollins win the NXT title. See guys old gimmicks or seeing them debut there current gimmicks. Seeing guys who are now big names on the many roster start out, and seeing guys who didn't have that much success start out. Triple H made NXT an amazing show. Vince giving him the opportunity to build the NXT brand was the best decision. Just watching the evolution of it makes me excited to see what the future of NXT has in store.

NXT is somehow both fresh and old school at the same time. And since it's inception, it's changed the WWE for the better.

go back even further when NXT was just a random reality style competition show taped before Smackdown to REALLY get things in perspective

It's pretty mindblowing to see how far it's come. I've been watching since early-2013, when it was still kind of a hole-in-the-wall thing, and never really expected it to explode the way it has. I'll admit though, while I love how ing amazing the roster is now, I kinda miss the old days. Or at least, the show having a bit more focus on character development. Now that there are so many established stars down there, it's not like they need to work so hard to get a guy over like a Bo Dallas or Sasha Banks. Nonetheless, it's still a fun hour of wrestling each week.

Yeah and how many of those guys have main evented Wrestlemania that's not named Roman Reigns.
Dean Ambrose Seth Rollins Bray Wyatt Luke Harper Kevin Owens Sami Zayn
All these guys are made to look like chumps when guys like Brock, Goldberg, and Taker come and do their part time sh*t. Then they wonder why there's no believable superstars right now. Because every year on the biggest show these guys are taking a backseat so someone like 50 year old washed up Bill Goldberg can main event. So unless Vince and Hunter fully get behind someone 100% and not feed them to old washed up men, developmental will always fail in my eyes.
Sure you can make them look like a million bucks on weekly NXT TV, and that's all fine, but they fail each one of them when it really counts. And that's when they get called up. Each one of them have a glass ceiling. Essentially what Vince is telling us is that these guys pale in comparison to a lazy Brock Lesnar, a blown up 50 year old Goldberg, and a 52 year old Taker who is in need of a hip replacement. It's a complete joke.
