Has there ever been a time when more companies have been making wrestling figures at the same time?

I think they need to concentrate on making legends first and then move on to current guys if there's a market for those. It's a great opportunity to see guys like Diesel, Big John Studd and others who never had a hasbro fig to now have one. It's kind of funny to think someone could get signed by Mattel and instead of everyone asking for an Elite or DM they could want this Retro figure of people from that era where Hasbro lost the license but then by the time Jakks got it characters like Sparky Plugg, Duke "The Dumpster" Drose, TL Hopper and Mauntaur were all overlooked. The first time I saw the Retro figures out, I went back a week later and they were gone-- empty pegs. But yeah, now they've been sitting here as well, seemingly not moving.

Isn't this what usually happens with lines that don't get a new wave after a month or two? They reorder figures everyone has already gotten (Apart from the two new ones, obviously.) So they just kinda sit.

if stores were smart. they'd hang onto a some cases of these and put em out when series 4 & 5 hit the shelves. they'll be wanted then.

Yeah, I'm thinking if and when my Walmart gets these again, Warrior and Taker will fly off the shelves and the cenas and lesnars everyone bought already will sit there and they won't re reordered. If they were insisting on including Cena and Lesnar they should have done one of each and then 3 each of Take and Warrior.

I see the retros, zombie and mutuant figures everywhere and even Balor doesn't sell out which surprises me considering his Elite's are mega popular

Why wouldn't you think they are good sellers? The first wave were stocked three to four pegs and nearly sold out at every location. Regardless of how the 2nd wave performs they have to be considered a hit based on that alone. I thought I explained that in my initial post. Plus, I'm not saying they aren't good sellers, that's why I was asking....to get an impression outside of the area I live.

Every place I go to that has em, has em in abidance. It seemed like the Zombies were selling well at first, but I'd have to say judging from what I've seen at stores, that kids aren't buying Mutants AT ALL. Some places didn't even seem to sell that many Zombies.

There is not a big market for them and it's only nostalgic adults who would buy them where kids on the other hand would have no interest in small figures that can barely move.
