Of those 3 matches. I have a feeling all the champions retain.

Sad about the lack of hype surrounding this show. Feels like a total afterthought.
This'll be my first time at an NXT show ever, though, so I'm excited just the same.

I miss the old NXT Tag Team Championship belts What has changed? Ah, the good old days when the two belts were different from each other but matched up to make sense. Now they're just identical and boring like all the other belts in WWE.

I miss the old NXT Tag Team Championship belts What has changed? Well I'll be! I honestly did not notice it until you pointed it out. Cheers for that! When did they make the switch? But my thought on the build up to takeover has been underwelming but I'm still excited for the event. I have no doubt that Aleister Black will debut at takeover, and I call it now, he will go against Andrade Almas I just wonder if Kassius Ohno will have a match.

The grand daddy of them all is the next night and the hall of fame is before it, It's a bad spot to be in. That didn't really matter last year, and it typically doesn't matter during the other super weekends either. Usually, people get just as excited, if not more excited for the Takeover special than they do the Pay Per View. The sense of it being an afterthought I'm mentioning not only comes the lack of promotion it receives on WWE TV, but the lackadaisical nature with which they're talking about it even on NXT TV. They don't have anything else to promote and they're not even doing all that much to make this event seem like a big deal. I'm sure it's going to be a good to great show, though, just like all the Takeovers.

Looking at the card this seems like a good show, but nxt has looked dry for awhile now. They really need to start building guys better because signing Indy guy after Indy guy seems to be a strategy that's running out.

Hope it's Black vs Young and Ohno vs Damo
Maybe Tye vs Almas as Tyes last NXT Match maybe?

Hope it's Black vs Young and Ohno vs Damo Maybe Tye vs Almas as Tyes last NXT Match maybe? It's Aleister Black vs. Cien Almas at TakeOver, further cementing Almas as a super enhancement talent. The guy has been jobbed out to every new big signing NXT has had recently. Losses to Bobby Roode, Roderick Strong and now Black. I really hope this doesn't become his permanent role because his character and in ring skills are too good to waste on making others look good.

I assume Tye/Strong/Jose/Riot vs. Sanity will round out the card.
It's a shame Ohno gets left out.

Super duper enhancement talent? Side note: Ohno/Elias next week, Loser Leaves NXT? Odd. I assume the Drifter will be getting repackaged once again.

They can't call him up. Literally cannot. He's done absolutely nothing TO be called up. He's not ready, he's below average in the ring... ... eh, it. Let him job on RAW/SmackDown.
