That was awful. I admittedly tuned out after the first hour because nothing had my attention anymore. The women's matches/segment went on entirely way too long just to have it end with Naomi announcing she's entering the match. I couldn't possibly care any less.
I really, really do not care at all about Bray vs. Orton. As a matter of fact, Bray facing Harper for the title at Mania would've been a better story given how over Luke has gotten in such a short amount of time. Bray has to retain on Sunday. He hasn't gotten the upper-hand on Orton once in this feud. So, naturally, Orton will take the title from him.
AJ and Shane...as I said, I truly hope they make this match a street fight, otherwise it's going to be a disaster. Isn't the whole point of Shane wrestling now to have some crazy high spot to get the crowd off their asses (which they are certainly gonna need on Sunday)? If you're telling me they really don't have any crazy stunt planned for Shane, I truly do not understand why he'd have to wrestle at WrestleMania.

...the Smackdown side of Wrestlemania pretty much sucks. I'm interested to see if Cena proposes, but that's about it.

Not a lot went on tonight that was too gripping. No stip for Shane-AJ, really? If there was one WM match that needed No DQ / Street Fight rules, this was it. Tuned out a bit during the women's shenanigans, missed Naomi's return. Don't really grasp what the Orton-Wyatt feud is supposed to be about. Harper is quite good in my eyes, but I question how a psyched-up Bray would have as much trouble putting down a guy who has struggled to establish himself as a big name so far. No Ambrose nor Corbin again. Miz's "Total Bella BS" was gold, but then Johnny Boy got his shots in good and hard. Another instance of someone not being able to get over on Cena either in the ring or on the mic. If I actually liked The Miz, this promo would piss be off so much. I've never been a Miz fan and I felt like punching John's face on my TV screen. Haha!

I started watching Smackdown in November. I have no idea what the face/heel dynamic is in Wyatt vs. Orton.

Won't lie, SmackDown was pretty lacklustre tonight. Orton should've been in the arena, that ending was terrible. It baffles me that Dolph Ziggler is where he is on the card. They do this with him on a regular basis. You think he's finally getting a solid push and then it gets kaiboshed and he's right back in meaningless matches again. So ing frustrating! Also, Dean Ambrose annihilating Boring Corbin on the mic on Talking Smack was absolutely sensational. That guy honestly can't talk or convey emotion to save his life.

So AJ/Shane has no stipulation at all? WTF IS THE POINT THEN?!?!?!?

Smackdown was brutal last night imo. I kind of dug the Randy Orton deal that sent the show off the air but there was nothing going on and Harper vs Bray felt like a filler match. I liked the promo from Harper but that match should have been positioned as Bray having this massive obstacle to even get to Mania. To the point where we should have believed Harper was winning and we are getting a triple threat at Mania to save that disaster of a feud.
I honestly think John Cena was terrible last night. His brief return to his Thuganomics days makes him feel like a poser at this point. His retort to all of Miz's real-life criticism, all true mind you, was "nuh uh." Then, for the second time in this feud, Miz wasn't allowed to respond to Cena. So twice now, Cena has delivered a kick in the nuts promo (the guy who is supposed to be the babyface mind you), and twice, they've had Miz just back peddle down the ramp like a b*tch. And don't get confused, Miz and Maryse are eating a double a pin on Sunday. John Cena acted like a total assh*le last night and I hope 75,000 people boo so loudly on Sunday that Nikki can't even hear him propose.
Mojo Rawley is the drizzling sh*ts. That guy still has a job because Gronk could potentially show up to see him work. That's the only redeeming quality about him. He's so bad.
I hope AJ Styles beats Shane in like 30 seconds and then a real opponent comes out. I don't know why in blue hell Shane would be positioned to be able to compete in a real match against AJ. No gimmicks, that match should be shorter than Brock vs Goldberg. Anything else just wouldn't make sense.

No intention of arguing with you here, but AJ debuted at about the same time last year as Joe did this year and still had a high profile match at WrestleMania. The roster was thin as all hell last year. This year there was no way that everyone would get a spot. It's just not possible. You've got a point there. I expect Joe to at least have some part in WrestleMania. Maybe he'll interfere in Rollins/HHH or KO/Y2J.

So here are my complaints with SDs Mania Build:
- American Alpha lose the belts to Uso's so they can be in the Battle Royal? Not even give them a chance to win them back on pre show? Thats just terrible.
- Sure lets have Mickie James teaming with Becky Lynch because that makes loads of sense. The Womens 6 pack is just lame. I would be okay with having 6 way if RAWs womens match was a OneVOne.
- No build for Corbin/Ambrose this week. I dont watch Talking Smack. Shouldnt count. This match should be on the pre show instead of Neville/Aries. Absolute BS.
- AJ/Shane just bothers me. While I enjoy the fact AJ made mention that in a singles match with no gimmicks Shane is at a huge disadvantage, anything other than AJ toying with Shane for 5 minutes will make AJ look like sh*t. Shanes matches are to prove he is tough, can withstand brutal beatdowns and do something insane. Not wrestle a match with the best wrestler on the roster. Should have just put them in a Cage match and watch something special happen. This is going to be bad.
- And finally, the Orton Wyatt build is atrocious. First off, if Orton was going to turn on Wyatt the whole time why did Orton wait a few weeks before announcing it? WWE had #1 contender matches 3 weeks in a row (battle royal, Harper/AJ, AJ/Orton) just to get back to square one with Wyatt defending against Orton. You could have built up this match more without tricking the fans into thinking they were getting something else. Wyatt/Orton/Harper should have been the outcome entirely with the route they went. Now Harper breaks from family and is doing nothing.
To finish, AJ Styles was so shafted. Carried the show for 6-months only to lose it to Cena for 2 weeks so he could drop it to Wyatt. For all the time AJ was top guy, they couldnt bother to come up with something for him to do at Mania? Bring up Nakamura or Joe for him? Sorry we had NOTHING for you, by nothing for you we mean by the time we finished worrying about everyone else, there was no active superstars available for you to work with. So heres Shane. But wait, we tried to get Shawn Michaels out of retirement if that makes you feel any better. Fans were robbed of a potential 5 star match at WrestleMania.

-- SDL was not as well written as RAW was, admittingly. But what was funny is, RAW had TOO much promo segments, while SDL didn't have enough promo segments. Still, this week's win goes towards RAW.
Miz/Maryse/Cena/Nikki build up was really good and am looking forward to this match. Shane/AJ, although not looking forward to this match, did have a really good build up too. Bray/Randy has been.... not my taste, but I can see fans of "movie-style segmented" wrestling getting into this. Baron/Dean could've been pushed a bit more last night. It's sad that SDL Tag Team Title match is on the kick-off show, while the RAW Tag Team Title match is on the main card. And the women's match from last night, just felt generic.
The 1 thing that irked me though, is once again - the E blew their load prematurely by bringing Naomi back last night... instead of the surprise factor that could've REALLY popped Orlando on Sunday. They did it with Bayley's title win on RAW, and they did it again last night with Naomi on SDL. (25yrs ago, I don't remember seeing Warrior appear on WWF TV just before WM... he was a surprise, and it got one WM's biggest pops of all time. Naomi would've been an after-thought to the casual fan, and had she been a surprise entrant on Sunday, in her hometown crowd no less.... WWE shot themselves in the foot with this one). But that's not her fault, so not doggin' on her, she looked great and it's nice seeing her back looking healthy. I just strongly disagree with how she was booked to return.
I'm just hoping next week's SDL, we get some GOOD surprises for being deprived of a great WM moment, from this brand.

its not just RAW, its the entire company. this has been the worst wrestling build up to any major PPV in the history of the business.
if you took every person in a normal match on the card (so take out the battle royal) this is just about the worst possible outcome of matches for them all. owens/jericho and rollins/hhh are the only 2 matches that feel like they have a reason for happening. and even then.....owens/jericho is for a secondary title that hasnt been important to anyone in a year+, and it is such an obvious step down for owens from where he was.
and seth/hhh has this ridiculous story attached to it with stupid terms nobody has ever used before (hold harmless) and isnt even going to be a wrestling match. plus we dont even know if rollins is seriously hurt, or whatever the deal is with it.
its just incredible with all the talent that is on this roster, they literally have no clue what to do with them to make it interesting. but its ok because we're gonna get Lesnar vs Goldberg for a world title, and Randy Orton/John Cena in the other 2 high profile matches, plus Reigns will be there and we'll get some Pitbull concert. And there will be about 16 times they will tell us they are making history, and THEY will tell us what Wrestlemania moments we are seeing.

Struggling to see the point of AJ/Shane without a stipulation.

While it might have given us some great promos and the Total Bellas parody, the whole premise behind this Cena/Nikki, Miz/Maryse feud is so totally forced - especially Nikki's role in the feud. Miz is trying to be CM Punk, airing all these grievances against Cena... except where Punk was the best talent in the company, and had legitimate gripes, Miz has been given as much - if not more, as someone of his level of ability and position should expect. Maryse being involved is pointless, because she can't wrestle and never could.

I really want orton to win but i know their match might steal the show, its a shame itll be half way on the card at Mania, tons of interference by both Rowan and Harper but I guess itll be a wyatt reunion, Orton has been on fire. I can't believe nothing for Ambrose vs Corbin. I hope Mania is better then the card shows! Im sure Styles and Shane will tear the house down, leading to Styles being "fired" and going to raw shortly after
