Why don't Mattel use the old scratch logo anymore
Examples
Attitude Era Fig boxes = No scratch logo Even the belts from that era they don't use the logo
Shawn Michaels Elite 19 = has the scratch logo on the European belt as they were still using it at the time but the re-release has just a red blob
Any actual reason known for not wanting to use that logo anymore?

Vince McMahon forbids it. One of his little ticks that are friggen stupid. Read about it 3 years ago when they switched. Vince doesn't want to use it unless they have to. The video games have no restrictions but the action figures do. The European title has no logo now but the Attitude WWF Title does

It's only the era that kept him in business, so I totally understand his decision (sarcasm)

They still use the scratch logo on the Attitude Era WWE Championship belt, but for some reason they stopped using it on the boxes.

So this is just a case of Vince being Vince?

Is there a news article or something that someone can post a link to? I can not find anything anywhere on the web stating Vince no longer likes the scratch logo.

X-Pac's Euro title didn't have it.
The cruiserweight and women's championships do have it.
And Malenko was released after X-Pac. The HOF Trish might've also.
You can argue that the logo women's side plates are too big to remove, but it could easily be removed off the cruiserweight belt and wasn't.
So, obviously there's no hard anti-scratch logo rule.

Attitude & Ruthless elites don't have it. Godfather had it but it was changed halfway through the production of that set

We don't know why he does anything Probably because it's the era, where he couldn't just push the crap he wanted, and actually had to go about, trying cater to his audience.

It is rather strange, when you consider how popular that era was - and that there's no problem using other previous versions of the logo (specifically the Legends/"block" logo and New Generation logo)...

I'm telling you guys it's a Vince thing. I read about a long time ago on CSS and there's no evidence against it. They purposely changed Godfather and Lita's boxes to remove the scratch logo and every flashback from that era since has had the network logo
Godfather Lita Umaga Shawn Michaels (E44) Big Boss Man Rock (E47) Boogeyman Randy Orton (E49)

Yeah, it's definitely a WWE mandate I would say. Why? Who knows, brand logo stuff is always needlessly convoluted.

I always think it's funny when someone on here says "it's Vince" when you know damn well you have never been in the same room as him. Reading a dirt sheet doesn't make you an authority on WWE.
Anyhow if I had to guess it would be because it's due to branding and wanting the new logo to be synonymous with WWE. But that's just a guess

Who decides how logos are used in marketing? Usually it's the guy in charge. This is the same dude who thinks sneezing is an act of weakness, so not using a logo isn't past him
