I know Bill said he would never make a basic demon balor (have I imagined he said it?) but if you choose the attires carefully I believe that thry could do it. Prime candidate. Takeover: The End.
Mostly black with some grey/white deco. All of Mattel's favourite cheap colours, even red could be done. Leave out the headdress and arm tassle thingys and you're good to go.
If basics like Hurricane, t shirt series figures, Joker Kofi, Batman Rey etc... can be done then why not demon balor?
Is it a question of cost as to why we won't get a demon basic? Or other reasons? Seems harsh on basic collectors like myself.

Takeover The End would be a perfect choice to make a basic Demon Balor, but why should they? His elites, which are selling like hotcakes for double the price of a basic or more are one of the hardest characters to find in recent memory and whether that's because of scalpers or not, it's still money in Mattel's pocket. If I were Bill, there would be a Demon Finn in every single elite line.

I agree and I'm not saying don't ever stop with the demon elites but even just one basic to give us basic guys a bone would be nice. No reason Takeover: The End couldn't be both a basic and elite release. A few guys have had a basic and elite release at the same or similar time. White Rollins and Strowman spring to mind. I'm literally asking for one basic fig
