I seriously dislike when wrestling websites use other shows as a reason why wrestling did bad in the ratings. Anyways, at this point Impacts ratings are eh. Aron Rex leaving is not that bad. Im just glad i wont be seeing his gimmick anymore. He hasn't done anything noteworthy since coming in to Impact, so i doubt WWE would be interested like when they resigned Drew McIntyre. Good luck to Rex anyways

Damien Sandow was pretty cool.
Damien Mizdow was great.
Aron Rex? Not so much.

Oh, that's a shame...on both fronts.
I can't say I recall Rex doing anything of note despite lofty promises made...all the best to him though; Christ he was over as Mizdow...

hard to believe that sandow is already gone.
tna obviously never heard that it's better to burn out than it is to fade.

This is what happens when it becomes the Jeff Jarrett good ole boys network To be fair Sandow sucked ass on tna. Actually he was not bad when he came in, wrestled a few decent matches and won the Grand Champions title. He started to suck once the heel turn came and then had to cheat to win before the last series of appearances with Spud.

I think TNA was more concerned about staying in business that with his character development, sad to say.

It boggles my mind why they didn't just have him do the Intellectual Savior-type thing again.
Obviously not a loss like Galloway or The Hardys, but they could've done something with him.

I'm sure when most people found out he had signed with the company formerly known as TNA, they expected the Intellectual Savior. His face self never caught on. His heel self never caught on. His Gorgeous George gimmick never caught on. Just a lotta bluster for nada. Mistake for him to be committed to the Grand Championship too, in my mind.

Damien Sandow was pretty cool. Damien Mizdow was great. Aron Rex? Not so much. The character he portrayed in TNA was doomed from the start. The character was basically just "I used to be Damien Sandow in WWE", which was pretty much just him riding his momentum from his WWE release, and that obviously wasn't going to last forever. After that he turned heel about two months in, had that weird gimmick where he would hit people with his rings that were under his finger tape, dropped the Grand Championship, and then just disappeared. Another case of TNA failing to book a potentially big star properly.
