Switching brands allows them to get into some fresh feuds. If they get into new feuds, it can allow them to do something more than doing the same thing they've been doing since they've dropped the titles, and a little before that - which is pretty much spinning their wheels. Also, even if they're not getting Austin-like pops every week, they still get more of a reaction than 98% of the roster. And moving to SD absolutely allowed Orton to freshen up his character. His time as a Wyatt was far more interesting than anything he's done in years. He just burned someone's house down. Orton's time as a Wyatt was short lived and horrible. Still the same old bland Orton. A brand split itself does nothing, simply having the roster under the same roof so to speak would do the exact same job your talking about. There's multiple wrestlers that wouldn't be doing anything like they are if they were still just under one brand.

Hey I bought a brand new New Day shirt at a thrift store for $0.99 which I overpaid for. Yeah they overstayed their welcome if a thrift store had a bunch of brand new New Day Rocks shirts for $0.99

I think they should move to Smackdown, as it would reignite the tag division there and they are credible competition for any team on the Smacdown roster. Speaking of Smackdown, Harper and Rowan need to start teaming again and become the monsters they were back in early-mid 2014, except win the titles this time. Another thing to do with New Day is turn them heel. It'll make them relevant again. They'd still sell tons of merch too, just like they were as heels before. The last thing they need to do is go away though.

Ive never found these jerks funny at all. They make me cringe every time they talk on the mic and the sooner they disappear the better. I believe the fans are getting tired of them as well. You and fans like you need to disappear.

They're a goldmine and cater to the majority of the audience, kids and adults.
Have they been stale? Yes, just like the whole raw roster. A move to smackdown will rejuvenate them.

Yeah they overstayed their welcome if a thrift store had a bunch of brand new New Day Rocks shirts for $0.99 You're telling me. A few days ago my wife bought a Rio Olympics shirt at a local Goodwill with the tags still on it for about $3 bucks. Pretty sure it's time to drop this silly little "Olympics" thing since we found a t-shirt in a store with their logo on it for (insert low amount of money).

New Day is a team that exemplifies grasping the brass ring.
They had their television time, and at first it bombed, but they made the best of it every time they were on television. They invested in themselves (those costumes must have cost them a pretty penny in the early days before the machine was behind it) and created the best act in WWE.
They're self made, and they're generous performers who don't go over everyone on the roster.
I love them.

I'll be honest. When I first got back into wrestling last October after a couple of years of having lost interest, I hated the New Day. I just could not stand their ridiculous gyrations, could not understand why Kofi was being totally wasted with it, and thought they were the stupidest gimmick ever.
Over the next few months they really grew on me, and as of 2017, I absolutely love them! They are just insanely fun to watch, and I would definitely count them as one of my favourite parts of WWE today. Having had immense fun recently watching through the New Day collection on the WWE Network, I really hope they keep it going for a long while yet.
