-- It was a very cool experiment, to have Mauro in the WWE. But imho, Mauro's too good for the WWE. And it's a shame the E blew their chance by not giving this guy better treatment. Just another example that WWE settles for mediocre, instead of reaching to be the best.
Been a fan of Mauro for years, he'll be fine wherever he goes. Personally, would love to hear him call the action for UFC or Bellator.

OK - backstage politics is, for example, when - let's go with the Kliq here - refused to do jobs for other guys or refused to work with them, or do a storyline. That's backstage politics. Bullying is intimidation, name-calling, forcing a person to do/say something that they don't want to do out of fear. I can see we obviously aren't going to agree on this - so let's leave it at that before the mods/admins have to come and lock this up. Have a good evening! So I guess " HHH, HBK, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman", right? Or do they get an automatic pass because they allegedly 'toned down' too..? There is literally nothing more stereotypical than fans basing their perception of someone on age old clickbait stories and bitter alumini staying relevant with their exaggerative 'shoot' sob-stories. And there's no telling them otherwise, because it 'MUST be true'. Why would they lie, huh?... Then they find themselves relating JBL to a situation involving a guy who's taken time out for a legit mental health issue that's plagued him since his teens, and why?.. Because he's known to the gullible as the clickbait famous bully - who just so happens to play the role of onscreen belittler of the announce desk - how convenient!.. This entire rumour proves how fickle some WWE fans are, and somewhat precise: As in, it's no surprise to fans like me that WWE struggle to attract an older/mature target audience when this is the sort of dumbarsery that stigmitises a lot of its fans. Hi, JBL!

I never took to Mauro the same way everyone else did. I felt like more often than not his commentary was forced and seemed like he was getting way too excited over little things, but his voice was commanding in that way and I appreciated they seemed to allow him to be himself and not just a line-reading toolbag like Cole has become.
Clearly he has some personal issues that need to be fixed and I hope he does just that and gets back to doing his job.
Tom Phillips has filled in quite nicely on SD, I'm happy with that for now.

I just wish they could bring Jim Ross back permanently. I doubt he wants to be back on the road full time. Plus his hands are full with New Japan, boxing and I think he's calling some MAMA shows now too.

While I'm not condoning any bullying by JBL is that's what happened, Mauro Ranallo has the thinnest skin of any person I've ever seen. He lives in a bubble on his Twitter account. He'll retweet praise and compliments until his fingers hurt but will block anyone that says anything remotely negative about him. He won't even allow the tamest jokes at his expense or constructive criticism. He'll just refer to them as a 'Twitter troglodyte' and block them.
I don't ever recall JBL ever saying anything outrageous to him, it was just typical heel stuff. A grown man who is almost 50 taking that kind of thing personally is just asinine.
But then again, JBL is exactly the same way, the guy absolutely loves the word 'troll' but hasn't got the slightest clue what the definition of the word is. He blocks everyone on Twitter. A classic case of being able to throw it out but unable to take it back.

Fans chant "Fire Bradshaw" at SD Live. I didn't want to make a new thread:

JBL is an a-hole, but I wouldn't call this bullying.

I'm not surprised it's official now but this sucks. He along with Graves were my favorite commentators they had going.

A guy is forced to leave a great job due to mental health reason, and people are happy because they didn't like his commentary. Cool. Everyone we don't like should be fired or quit. And then wrestling can die.

JBL. That is all. How he has managed to stay employed after a long history of bullying his other coworkers is beyond me.
