Hey,
As I go through all of my old games, from NES to XboxOne & WiiU, 3DS... (no PS4 or any of those handhelds, or Nintendo Switch for me) I'm wondering if some of these games that are now generally worth solid value and I am looking to sell (or already sold and either regret it, or own it on e-shop in some form or downloaded it for the respective console or from STEAM etc. etc.) are also worth replaying (as in restarting) or playing from where I left off, which in some cases, was literally near game's end (when sometimes I would just walk away--I don't want to waste time on backstory or reasoning on WHY I abruptly abandoned these games, but I will leave you with an idea of where I left off and if I remember the game's story very well on a scale of 1-10 I guess).... and in addition, some games I bought and hardly got into at all or hated at first but want to give a second chance I would not mind opinions on (or additional opinions, I should say). So I'm just going to list some titles, and you can pick whichever one or ones you would like and give me some insight about it. No spoilers, please, since all of these are games I have NOT beat or have gotten really far into, but decided to just put down at random..... likely for another release back when I had more time and Gamefly so I could rent games easier (I can't afford a $60 release much anymore so I have to pick carefully and just hope for good Games w/ Gold on XBL, or play some of these I am about to list, which is the point of the pot...weeding thru games I bought and never gave much chance, or never quite finished*)
(*And want to know if I should just finish and be done, or if it's worth restarting to experience again)
So here goes, and I'll list the game and system it's for..
Bioshock Infinite's 2-part DLC (NOT Clash in the Clouds, which was kinda lame... the one with 1998 mode, which I haven't played much... Or would you advise I just wait until I can purchase or download the Bioshock collection for XboxOne once the price continues to drop on it, and then play the DLC? I could easily beat the story again and absorb more, and I never did play Bioshock 2 in full.... loved 1, but would love to play it again and remastered.... looking for .2 but I do own the DLC. Just unsure if it's worth it or if I should buy the new one eventually, which I will regardless)
Zelda Skyward Sword (Wii)
I thought it looked really boring when I first picked it up. Overworld seemed boring. It was a "slow starter" so to speak. I was playing and discussing it with a friend simultaneously and just couldn't get into it so much, but some people tell me now that is is really a great game and one of the more underrated Zelda titles. BTW, I have yet to touch BotW and if I do it will be for Wii U since I don't see a Switch in my near future.
Bayonetta 1+2 preorder edition (Wii U)
I own the pre-order/original release for Wii U and have only played bits of 1, and forget where I left off. I am tempted to sell it in order to buy something I like more, but I don't know. The price keeps rising and it is hard to find and its first printing. Is it as fun as it seemed the first item I played? I likely will restart. But for $69 and the ability to buy BotW.... I'm tempted to sell it.
Luigi's Mansion (GC)
Luigi's Dark Moon (3DS)
I want to play both! Is Dark Moon a direct sequel? And if it is, how quick could I burn through Luigi's Mansion? Somehow, I have never beaten the game and only watched friends play mainly. It seems fun but at the time I wasn't digging it when I played the little I did. I still own my copy and 'Cube + a Wii. Curious if it's worth diving into... is it truly only 6hrs long at most? Also, is Dark Moon any good? Some people told me it's great, some said better than the original and they were huge fans, whereas a few others I asked told me it was crap. I know it got good reviews or 8.0+ but I dunno, reviews are hit/miss...
The Mario + Luigi RPG games- SUPERSTAR SAGA (GB ADVANCE) PARTNERS IN TIME (DS), BOWSER'S INSIDE STORY (DS), DREAM TEAM (3DS)
I've only delved into Superstar Saga, which I own for my Wii U on DLC and it is really fun and reminds me of 7 Stars more than any other RPG game I've played yet (or any Paper Mario game to go alongside--though the latter mentioned Mario/Luigi RPGs I've barely touched despite owning all 3 on DS, DS and 3DS).... Curious if the stories intertwine and if I sh(ould be playing them in that order, as they had been released? If so, I am still playing thru Saga and enjoying.
The Evil Within (Xbox One)
Doom (Xbox One)
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (Xbox One)
Assassin's Creed 3 (xbox360)
Wolfenstein: The New Order + New Blood (the DLC or add-on which is really big admittedly) (Xbox One)
Dead Rising 3 (or 4?) (Xbox One)
I haven't played much of any of these since picking them up. Probably because they're all large installs and GTA takes up about 70GB as it stands.... and yeah.
Darksiders 1
Darksider 2
1 is free w/ Games w/ Gold so I finally may try it, but own 2 as well. Some told me one is like Zelda, and the other is more like...and that's where I blank out. Looking for opinions on either or both. No spoilers! I've never opened either or played them, anyway.
PURELY FOR DLC-
Fallout: New Vegas or Fallout 3? (Both I have beaten multiple times...love them to death and will continue playing. Right now I'm kind of 'stuck' in a Fallout NV DLC mode...the one with bomb collars... I'm just low on ammo and in a tricky spot is all. Overall though, which has the best DLC in all? I own all of it...)
TES Oblivion DLC (xbox360/xb1 compat)
Is it worth playing for all of the expansions, and pretty much only those? I played that game into the ground upon its release and up until Skyrim and even beyond, accumulating all 1k achievements for the first time ever in playing a game back then and getting every achievement... maybe only time to date. Minus the DLC stuff. How is its DLC? I own the big one, and then I also own Nights of the Nine. Worth playing or outdated a bit?
Dishonored 1 (Xbox 360--don't own the XB1 version)
I am pretty far into the game, but hear it is a fun game to play multiple times.... so should I consider restarting and playing from the start one way (peaceful) or another (chaotic)? I think when playing in the middle the outcome may be f'd at the end, someone told me. I eventually hope to buy both 1 and then 2 for XB1 but my controller stick is f'd and I need to buy a new XB1 controller...so I may load up my old Dishonored save. But would I be better off restarting? The game has a lot going on and is hard to pick up where you left off, sometimes.
my other questions would be simply about the Dead Space trilogy (1-3) which I own, but have barely played. I played a bit of #1 but never got beyond an hour or so in. Started really slow. Does it pick up pretty quick...? I loved System Shock 2 so I have no idea why it's so hard to get into, but I can't get into Dead Space (1) and i've never tried 2 or 3. I haven't dedicated a ton of time to 1 though, either.
thanks! I have a lot of other games I'd list but I'd be here forever. Trying to figure out what to keep and get rid of out of a lot of these... I have a ton of generic GTA sandbox games, even if some aren't bad or have solid reviews.... I never know what to trust anymore.
kudos to those who can help or provide some insight on any of these. No spoilers, please! Just opinions--honest opinions!
