Glenn Jacobs, Kane, currently owns an insurance company with his wife in Knoxville, Tennessee. After months of speculation Kane has announced that he has his eyes set on a mayoral run. Glenn was invited on WVLT (our local news channel here in the area between Nashville and Gatlinburg) and stated the following:
"My career with WWE doesn't tie me down to any particular area of the country," Jacobs told Local 8 News in a statement. "My family and I don't have to live here. We choose to live here because East Tennessee is such a wonderful area. As County Mayor, my goals would be to keep taxes low; work with both the school system and private sector to provide our young people with the skills necessary to compete for high paying jobs while, at the same time, supplying Knox County with a world-class workforce; and to make sure that Knox County remains as business friendly as possible--a place where existing businesses can grow and thrive, as well as a place that will attract investment and new businesses." (WVLT News)
You thought corporate Kane was funny, wait to you get a load of Mayor Kane.

He's intelligent as hell so I'm sure he'd do a good job.

It would be interesting to see who he runs against as well as what party. Im going to assume he runs as a Republican just from what Ive heard him say when he was guests on various local radio shows. He certainly has a chance since East Tennessee is very red.

Tremendous amounts of public events and believe it or not, a lot of people in West Knox actually go through his insurance company. He's a very liked guy in Knox.

Says he's making the announcement the 11th, I wish it was the 12th. He's doing it at Sweet Ps BBQ...I could go for a brisket and mac n cheese with the big red machine. I will say though that Kane has stated openly on the Hallerin Hilton Hill show that if he were to be elected mayor he would retire from the WWE.
