I'll buy these, but I like the Mutant series more, you can have Cena vs. Mecha Cena, DDP diamond cutting an alien, Bret Hart vs. Arachnoid Sting, etc. I could see the next series, Bryan as a goat, Roman as a dog/wolf, Charlotte as a centaur, Hydraulic Hug Cyborg Bayley, Sasha with X-ray eyes, and Joe as an Easter Island/Thing mash up

What a shame it is that Mattel seems to have decided not to use the "Bionic Redneck" vest after all, despite showing it on a display of Zombies Series 2 not long ago. Albeit peculiarly, it was placed upon a Zombie Brock at the time. A few weeks ago I even bought a B51 Stone Cold at a local Big Lots, which I had previously passed on innumerable amounts of times. Up until the revealing of these prototype images, I had been fully anticipating finally being able to mesh that vest along with the rest, as in the "Smoking Skull" title belt & appropriate color-coordinated leg braces. Oh well. Hopefully, it will be used anyway again some day, for they truly inadvertently duped me into thinking alas my wait was over soon, what with a personal enticement to purchase this specific Zombie figure. I suppose conversely, I shall save money if I choose not to get this awesome Zombie Austin.
However, the visually appealing aesthetic appearance of essentially matching colors upon a vest, belt & braces, respectively, would have gone well together, even if inaccurate. Hence forth, out the window currently flutters away the completion to my unoriginal plan for one of my many Austin Elites. Undoubtedly there is no way whatsoever in which I can be convinced to shell out a significant amount of funds via the secondary market for the RSC Exclusive version simply for the vest. Obviously the smiling scan has been reused quite often due to demand aplenty, thus there went that formerly logical justification. After it was shown, I felt as if this was a prime opportunity to put something previously produced back out there to the masses. Also, I did not doubt its selling point powers, and clearly Bill/someone else at least initially must have had similar feelings on the matter.
Whether as an extra for those who already own said vest or to fill a void of course, some excitement was indeed generated. I believe that was amplified particularly for people who missed out on that vest before or merely latter collectors like myself. Then again, perhaps the accessory would be better utilized in garnering interest for an inevitable basic/core Stone Cold slated into some slot in the future. Granted, the apparent change this time around is certainly not the end of the world. Even so, it is still definitely a disappointing tease, especially considering that I am now relegated to yet again crossing my fingers for an eventual re-release of that item. Plus, who knows if such good fortune will ever come to fruition. Additionally, I can only guess Matty figured this specific figure was good enough on its own, which I must admit is actually pretty much the case.

All of them are super easy passes. Don't even have to think twice. They figures are awful. I wish the zombie fad would just die down already. Zombie figs are warming the shelves at my local TRU, and they're being sold as regular basics here, so we won't get in any new basics until this crap sells.

So are these coming out before or after we send all the ones clogging the pegs to Big Lots?

This will probably be the first time i actually see a Mattel AJ Styles on a retail peg......and that's gonna piss me off. Lol. That Austin does look cool though, so i might actually get that one purely based on the fact that its a well done figure.

Is that Austin's pinky finger that's straight? Clearly they can't do that with the middle finger, but I wouldn't think zombie Austin would be prepared to drink tea at high noon.

These looks like a must for people who collect basic!
Stone Cold looks like his bone hand can move the fingers individually. (Middle finger?)

Why are these still a thing? Sad part is Mattel looks to throw all their efforts into detail for this line while they get a pass on the wrong DM WM3 Macho tights.

If Mattel fixed up some of these scans they would be amazing on elites.

Considering how hard these are shelf warming over here in the UK, and Smyths have all of wave 1 for £5 each, Im surprised there is a wave two.
Oddly though, that Austin is now one of my most wanted WWE figures ever haha. (even though his skeleton hand looks like Dr Evil!)
Wish there was an AE Rock to match. His Zombie figure looks like Drax from Guardians Of The Galaxy!

Was thinking the exact same haha I cant find any photos, but austin used to have a kinda hand signal for drinking beers, but it doesn't really translate to zombie very well

Wow. So much complaining. Is it always like this there? Just people posting endlessly about how they aren't going to buy something? Don't like it? Move on

yes this is exactly how the boards are welcome!!
the process goes like this:
hype for a new fig->complain about the proto pics->mention the final product pics look a little better->still buy the figure anyways

Yay more protos. Still no Summerslam Nikki. Gah. Can anyone just tell me if she has a new scan? MattelDesignTeam ? No one cares Welcome to Wfigs. The release of prototype and MOC images has been wierd and spotty lately, particularly in regards to that Nikki, whose set mates come out over a week ago. it's never happened like this before so its worth mentioning. I think you'll find there are plenty of insufferable people here who care way too much about their preferred niche. Thank you for adding nothing to this conversation
