As discussed previously, some Hasbros had an action that left them rather undesirable when play-time came around. But what I want to know is, who did you give a push to because of their action, and who did you job out of leave out completely because of theirs?
I'll start with mine:
Smash I liked Smash's figure so much I had him split from Demolition and go on a singles run all the way to the WWF Title.
Ted DiBiase It took a long time for me to find Million Dollar Man in his ring gear, and I didn't like him wrestling in a tuxedo. So DiBiase was purely a manager. Then he bought the WWF and managed whoever was the heel champion. Then finally I found him in his ring gear at a boot sale and he was the top heel.
Warlord Warlord looked awesome and a bad mofo, so he got the babyface push of a lifetime.
Rick Rude Love Rick Rude IRL, but hated Rick Rude's action so he became a commentator.
Skinner Found Skinner for sale in a comic book store, loose. I'd never seen him before and didn't even know he existed until then. Then I got him home and realised he was pretty jobberific, so he became a manager for any monster heel that decided to take on Hulk Hogan. I liked Hulk but wanted to keep him away from the world title, so all he did was take on Skinner's monster of the week one after another. If Hulk won he'd get 5 minutes alone in the (WCW Galoob) cage with Skinner. But every time a new monster would come out and save him thus starting the new feud.

marty jannetty was almost 100% unused as a kid. michaels won most matches (or lost) by himself as a rocker. Andre the giant was champ for a long time when I was a kid. and like most people I am sure virgil was king jobber. I had bossman and Mountie teamed up and named "the international law officers" (pretty stupid I know but I was a kid) Martel, perfect and Luger were my only stable and ran over everyone (except andre and taker)

I remember hating the Rockers figures. I almost always had them job. Kamala was pushed heavily (with the LJN Slick at ringside haha!) my favorite was Dusty Rhodes so he was pushed. Hogan was always heavyweight champion, Michaels was Intercontinental champion.

Awesome thread. I also would use Smash as a top singles star based on his mold. Too bad they never re-used that mold for other wrestlers. Same goes for the Virgil mold that was famously used for the Shawn Michaels prototype. So, Virgil got a significant push. Since there was no Diesel figure, I used Warlord as a pseudo-Diesel replacement, so he got a monster heel push. Other figures that received major "pushes" based on their action/mold were Bret Hart, Tito Santana/Jake Roberts, Andre the Giant, Ted DiBiase #3, Tatanka, Randy Savage 1 & 2, Rick Martel, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ultimate Warrior #2, Mr. Perfect, Bam Bam Bigelow/Earthquake were great molds, and all the body slam guys (Hogan, Bulldog, Luger). Pretty much hated using the spring action "jumping" guys, but every once in a while I'd use Shawn Michaels #1 as a top act, since I was never able to find heel HBK Shawn Michaels as a kid. thebigzakbowski - Dude, your made up teams/stables can't be any worse than my M&M, Money & Music stable featuring DiBiase & Honky Tonk Man, since I was never able to find IRS or Greg Valentine to make up their actual tag teams. And I also had a law enforcement type stable featuring, Boss Man, The Mountie AND Sgt. Slaughter called The Enforcers. Glad to see I wasn't the only one.
