I've never worked in fast food, but I can tell you this:
Customers will crap on you a lot because people are dicks, but keep a positive attitude. Kill 'em with kindness. And don't spit in the food. Nothing anybody says to you is worth stooping that low.

It'll probably suck but its good to get working experience as early as possible. That way you're already used to being miserable when you start your career.
Good luck!

Always be on time. Always wash your hands. Be VERY careful around the meat slicer. Don't be offended if your boss asks you to wear a hair net. Manners are essential in the food business. Make sure you say "You're welcome" and smile a lot (but don't make it too creepy).
Best of luck to you!

Having a job with steady hours then eventually a career, if you choose to pursue one, is rewarding. It'll help you grow as a person and make your free time more meaningful and valuable. You don't want to be somebody who thinks they are above having to work yet still acts entitled.

Nothing anybody says to you is worth stooping that low. I never worked fast food either. Although I almost got a job at McDonalds while still in high school and I didn't take it because I already got hired somewhere else at the same time. I can tell you that my one friend's mother worked at McDonald's and she said people would get pissy at workers because they didn't have the Beanie Baby toy they wanted

Restaurant jobs are always the coolest jobs to have as a kid. The atmosphere is always great. I don't know what it is but they're chill and really fun places to work.
The only advise I can give you is to be respectful to everyone (customers, supervisors and co-workers), be ready to learn a lot and be willing to work hard. Oh and prepare yourself for the lunch and dinner rushes. They suck. You will bust your ass for a long time but they're a great way to pass the time. And don't ever get caught standing around doing nothing, ever manager hates that! If you find yourself legitimately with nothing to do -- which will happen from time to time -- grab a rag and start wiping something; just look busy.
But most importantly, have fun! This is going to be a good experience in your life, enjoy it while it lasts.
