They stopped putting accessories in when they started to have 4 sets per series. Beats putting in stupid accessories like another surf-board in my opinion.

I'm assuming the budget that had gone into producing the accessories now covers the design cost on the 4th series. Not a bad tradeoff in my opinion.

More importantly.....the fact that some of them lately have been made with painted on t shirts, for me this completely ruins any attempt to play with the figures or even want them. Perfect examples, the New Day figures would have been a great purchase if it weren't for the painted shirts, Big E doesn't have one (not that he really wears them) but Kofi and Woods do, and also the Sasha would have been an instant buy because the Charlotte is great but having Sasha with the painted t ruins it for me anyways, you're thoughts? am I the only one?

I think you are one of the few that feel that way.....most of the guys in the battle packs get multiple figures so the t shirt look is vastly different from all the other figures. I'm a huge fan of the Aj Basic with Roman and the Sasha is a night change of pace from the usual women's figures.

I'm a MOC collector so it doesn't really matter to me if the shirts are painted on or if they're cloth, although the cloth shirts do look much, much better. But I do feel your pain to an extent, when I was a kid it always pissed me off if the shirts were painted on because, like someone else said, it makes them hard to have matches with. So I just improvised & made every match I used that particular figure for a street fight so it would justify wearing a shirt during a match at least a little bit. 😂

Well when they include dull painted elite belts like the tnf sting/warrior in battle packs it's adds a lot of extra value. You can switch out the dull painted plates for shiny ones.
I don't get how they can pack slammys and bonus belts in basics and then remove accessories from 2-packs. Then elites get display stand that no one really asked for. So maybe battle packs need to start selling slower and they will put accessories back in.
Could we get an official word on this ?

Looks like they're doing simple attire accessories. Sasha's got the sunglasses and Luke Harper looks like he has a black vest.

More importantly, I know they must be cheap to make, but I'd rather those display stands go towards more accessories in elites. I'm sure others like them, though.

Why don't they just include dull painted elite belts in all battle packs ? Tag titles for tag teams, mid card belts for mid carders, women's championship for female battle packs, heavyweight belts for main eventers, and old school belts for legends. That would help sell some battle packs and instead of people paying $20 for an elite belt on eBay they could go into a store and buy a 2-pack....

Alot of the BP accessories seemed forced or were pretty much useless (aside from belts, though dull unpainted belts are the worst) so I am ok with this.

The gold belts and Slammys are chase items. Not every figure gets these accessories. It's designed to help move basic figures. Like somebody said before, we're getting an extra set of figures instead of accessories. They're trying something new. That's what we wanted. We wanted Mattel to try new things. Now we're bitching about not getting crappy, useless accessories? Do you honestly want another stop sign, kettle bells, or a surfboard? That's some Jakks nonsense. We don't need it.

I'll say it was a good way to get useful accessories like tables, chairs, or ladders. But like others have said, who cares about a surfboard?
I did like getting the Sin Cara mask with Rhodes/Sin Cara and the arm sling with Mysterio/Sin Cara.
But don't even get me started on the dull unpainted belts. Those are Jakks level horrendous.

I like the variety of Sasha's figures so Im not as sour on it but we do still have the Walgreens Sasha to look foreward to. Im willing to bet its this attire, the head is perfect for it.

The reason is probably that there are now 4 packs instead of 3. Count the dioramas from the Elite series in and it all makes perfect sense. Some of the accessories where strange (a surfboard?), some stupid (dull Championship belts), others pretty good (trash cans, kendo sticks and what not).
