If the world title main events it will be a last fan standing match because people have traffic to avoid and long distances to travel so it would be a perfect chance for people to go home.
Also if you want your question answered ask yourself who closes Smackdown every week? Orton and Mahal don't but KO does so why have a mid card feud that features two guys no one cares about close a PPV?
KO has been the main guy on Smackdown since the shake up so it's only fitting that he and AJ close.

No, the WWE title should always go last regardless of who's in the match. Even if Styles/Owens is obviously going to be the better match, they're still only wrestling for a mid-card title. However they could always do a swerve like at Backlash 2016 when they put the WWE title on first and the IC title on last. I agree the WWE Title should always close the show. But to every rules comes an exception. Hello exception. Jinder Mahal? Orton/Mahal doesnt deserve to make the preshow let alone main event. Not to get off subject, but I cant believe how many people have mentioned UT being retired. I cant believe there are this many people who have been suckered into this. Until the man makes an official announcement, this is all show and tell to me right now and great opportunity for WWE to sell additional "Retirement" merchandise.

No, because they're fighting for the US Title, but also because Jinder deserves this!

The World Title should ALWAYS main event. At Mania the Rumble winner gets the World Title of his choosing and MAIN EVENTS the show. Other cross branded PPVs whichever match has more build should go on last.
If they do something like Jinder and the Singh Brothers attack Randy while he's having a backstage interview and brawl out into the arena and Shane announces they're gonna do the match now while everyone is fired up and they go on second to last, I'd be okay with that. AJ - Owens this is their first singles PPV Match and maybe their first singles match in WWE overall? Huge hype but I don't think it should main event unless the WWE Title needs to go on earlier similar to what I said.

Absolutely....
Orton/Mahal will most likely be garbage. The odds of the crowd not crapting on the match are slim to none.

As long as the champion enters last, that'd be great.
Seeing the champ enter first is bollocks.

The top title on the card should always be the main event of the evening to close out the show.

I do think that the WWE Title should main event, but i wouldn't be surprised if AJ vs Owens, or for some strange reason Ziggler vs Nakamura main events.

Would it be smart booking? Probably but the WWE Title should always go on last even if the match can't top the previous one.

I dont think Orton and Jinder will be the main event. Not with all the stories coming out about why Jinder was given this match. Then it comes down to Owens/Styles and Ziggler/Nakamura.
I know they want to make Nakamura's first match mean something and a big deal, but when you have Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles and a title involved, I think that is what should go on last.

For match quality, yes. But, the WWE Championship should take precedence; and what with this being Jinder's first main event, give him his fifteen seconds of fame and see what he can do as a headliner.

Honestly, at this stage I'm more surprised by Orton being in the main event than Jinder. He's excruciatingly boring.

There are certain instances where the Workd Title shouldn't go on last. Hart/Bulldog in Wembley going on last was the right move for example. Hogan/Rock should have gone on last at X8. In no scenario should Jinder Mahal and the Bollywood Boyz be involved in a main event at a PPV.
