There's many types of cancer so it's hard not to get it, even if you eat healthy and work out. You'll still have the chance of getting cancer from the sun.

Yes and no, depending on the type of cancer. Some forms of cancer are just in your genes and there is nothing you can do.
However, other forms of cancer can be prevented, such as lung cancer (DON'T SMOKE), skin cancer (WEAR SUNBLOCK and stay out of the sun for long periods of time)....things like that.

I don't think it is but if it is found you should immediately start pumping as much vitamin C into your body as you can.

I dont know there seems to be a lot of work going into research in using Cannabis to slow it down, kill the cells, there are people who claim it works, even doctors, but theres been nothing said by the government in terms of if it actually works, some people say yes it works and the government knows it works but they make more money from treating it than they do curing it.
I've only known 2 people in my life to have cancer, one was a high school friend, never smoked was young and healthy, fought it twice and passed away after refusing chemo on the third time, and my "mum" was diagnosed a few months ago, she too is a non smoker, and over the last 2 years has become more active in going to the gym etc, so it really makes no sense as how they both got it, and people like my Nan who smoked literally 500+ cigs a week didnt.

There's been many people who've never smoked a day in their life get lung cancer. My grandfather had skin cancer late in life and the only times he ever spend out doors were during D-Day and while mowing.

Want to know the real mindf*ck?
EVERYONE has already had cancer. You. Me. Everyone. Multiple times. It's just in most cases, the body's immune system has caught it before it could spread. Cells have a finite lifespan. They're programmed to terminate themselves after a certain period of time, after which they are replaced by new cells (this process is called apoptosis). However, every now and then, a cell will ignore the apoptosis signal. Luckily, the body has several other checkpoints to stop/kill any cells that are mutant or renegade in the body. Unfortunately, sometimes a cell can bypass ALL these checkpoints and keep dividing, forever multiplying itself (eventually creating a tumor and even spreading in new regions).
For anyone interested, I strongly recommend a book called "One Renegade Cell". It's a short read, but it details this process. It's quite fascinating because cancer really does start from just one cell. It'll totally change your perspective and give you a new insight on your health.

However, other forms of cancer can be prevented, such as lung cancer (DON'T SMOKE) You can get lung cancer even if you've never smoked a single cigarette. To my understanding, cancer can't really be prevented. They say there are things you can do and eat to help improve your odds, but none of those are guarantees. Really, all one can really do is visit their doctor regularly (about once a year), get regular blood work done (your doctor may order a full work up once a year to see what's going on in your body; maybe more frequently depending on individual conditions and family history), and try to live a clean life as best you can (good diet, avoid excess alcohol or drugs, don't smoke). Sometimes cancer can be treated if it's caught early enough like a lot of conditions. Unfortunately, people in the US don't always have access to affordable care or willfully choose not to go to the doctor because they don't want to know if anything is wrong.

You can try things to reduce the risk but I don't think any illness is completely preventable.

To some degree. Studies show that not smoking helps a lot. Of course it's a probability thing not a guarantee. You can get cancer from all sorts of things - sun, talc, asbestos. I'd personally avoid smoking because it's really bad for your lungs even if it doesn't give you cancer. But if smoking makes you happy and you are an adult I can't tell you not to.
We all gotta die of something. Just live as comfortably and healthy as you can but don't fear living. Being aware of your health is good but if you stress so much over everything you do/eat that's probably bad for you too. Life is for living.

No it isn't.
My Auntie Eileen was one of the most clean living people you ever met. She also never worked a job with hazardous materials or anything. She swam in the sea every morning(summer or winter) and ate very well. She didn't drnk, didn't smoke etc etc etc.
She died a TORTUROUS death at 55 from invasive colon cancer. as said above? its a crap shoot. Are there things that cause or precipitate it? absolutely. But no way exists to surefire prevent it.

Money talks bullcrap walks I guess. I think there is a cure for cancer but you just need tons of money to get your hands on it. Don't believe me Research Dr Sebi he was a doctor that was murdered in Africa because he had the cure for the cancer. He was preparing to ship the cure to the United States when he was killed.
