I would have preferred em in WM11 attire. I have the RR HBK but I do love the attire and don't mind the different scan even though the scan doesn't really match up w the era of the tights. Huge HBk mark so I'll get it lol

I thought for sure they'd use the new/HOF 5 head for Diesel... especially since it's just like the picture on the cardback(?).

I can't see how the 2 Dudes pack is exciting to anyone who already owns the first version of either figure.
Michaels is a guy who had dozens of looks throughout the '90s. Mattel is never going to be able to scratch the surface depicting those through Elite style figures alone. So it's massively disappointing to see a Flashback Shawn in either Basic or Elite form that essentially already exists. Using the RSC exclusive head scan is about the only positive for this reissue.
As for the Diesel, that's a figure I just never understood the appeal of, outside of it being the lone Mattel Diesel figure. The attire is sharp, but that headscan is abysmal and it's super disappointing that we're seeing it used again. I don't demand exact likenesses with my head sculpts, but the E16 Diesel has always looked like the real guy only in the sense that it's a man with a beard and long hair.

I assume Mattel figures it will just be an easier sell to put out a Basic version of an Elite that has been in high demand on the secondary market, but it's just too bad that the figure in question has such a bad head sculpt. The HoF one looks incredible, so I would've been quite content to see that slapped on an all-black gear Diesel.

That Diesel scan always reminded me of Kane when he was Diesel. Never looked like Nash to me.

I've had a few pass through here over the years, but I've never been tempted to hang on to one of them. Don't get me wrong: I *want* a Mattel Diesel figure. I just want one that actually looks like him.
