TNA didn't leave Marvel Toys (ToyBiz) for Jakks. Marvel Toys went out of business in 2007. The Jakks TNA line didn't start until ~2010. TNA announced their deal with Jakks in February 2008. I don't know how early Toybiz/TNA/Jakks started shifting things around before that. It might have only been a set or two difference or it might have helped Marvel keep their doors open another set or two beyond that, but I haven't read anything definitive about who left who and when...and who started leaving who when. I always got the vibe from how everything went down that TNA left Toybiz though and Toybiz went from 2 lines to 1 to gone after Hasbro took the Marvel Comics toys. Outside of that, I've noticed lately as I've been getting back into collecting these that there are no good, deep blog-style (or even video-style) reviews of these guys. Im used to being able to really look intricately at a fiigure before I buy it (or before I open it) but for these sets that stuff is pretty limited. Too bad because there are a few I really wanted more info on like Sonjay Dutt, Matt Bentley and Jay Lethal. Maybe after I pick up a few more I'll do some.

You would have to actually search a bit to see they're worth something. Which two AJs and Joes? Pics? Nice, I still need Kip and Lance but lately I've been obsessed with getting the X-Division guys.

Articulation wise I love these figures. But with the age of them. The joints are either super duper loose or really tight.

I've heard that from a lot of people but all mine are perfect, however I got a dud ring...balance of the universe. I can only speak for my figures I got a decade ago, my newer Sting's torso doesn't move, though I don't know if any of them do.

That Traci Brooks though!
Tbh, I wasn't into these period. I wasn't a huge TNA fan anyway but I had AJ with the ring and Chris Daniels. The amount of articulation and statute of them made the bodies look weird. They reminded me too much of those god awful R3 Tech figures. Too much articulation is sometimes a terrible thing. They were too hard to play with. Sometimes they moved way too awkwardly.
Some of the headscans were on point!

No I'm saying they were awkward and gross looking. Like the bodies are weird as f That they are. Worst looking figures ever. I'm glad someone agrees haha. There's a point where too much articulation just makes the bodies weird. Tbh TNA figures never really grabbed my attention from either Marvel or Jakks. Marvel's bodies were way off and they moved every which way. Jakks' bodies were perfect sans for the fact that they were 1000% off scale and most of them moved awkwardly as well. Alex Shelley was too dang tall and his legs spread wider than mine haha! I also loved the Knockout figures but Velvet and Madison moved like crazy. The only figures I really found to be to my liking were Gail Kim, Chris Sabin and Dixie Carter.

To chip in, I managed to get the AJ/Joe 2 pack with AJ in red, Joe in white/black and it also came with a DVD from a smaller local store in the UK. They weren't necessarily the best looking figures but they had the best playability out of any wrestling figures that I've ever owned. I don't have a clue where they are now, but when I was younger I must have spent hours playing with just them two figures alone. It makes me wish I'd have bought more with similar articulation, but I always found the line weird in that not all figures had the same articulation...
