To chip in, I managed to get the AJ/Joe 2 pack with AJ in red, Joe in white/black and it also came with a DVD from a smaller local store in the UK. They weren't necessarily the best looking figures but they had the best playability out of any wrestling figures that I've ever owned. I don't have a clue where they are now, but when I was younger I must have spent hours playing with just them two figures alone. It makes me wish I'd have bought more with similar articulation, but I always found the line weird in that not all figures had the same articulation... I liked that the articulation varied depending on the body of each figure. That is how Marvel did their comic toys and I thought it worked well, I hate reused parts. I felt that AJ and Joe were almost like deluxe toys compared to the others, they fit better in scale with other companies figures. I really want the blue and brown trunks Joe to go with my white. Great colour choices by Toybiz. & the trophy...genius.

I loved these! It was so cool getting TNA figures. Some of them were on-point, others...not so much lol. Even though the titles were so tiny, they blew Jakks out of the water. One of the main selling points of Mattel for me is they kept the soft belts.
Anyone else remember the proto pic for the "real scale" 6-sided ring?

It can be said that these figures, especially towards the end of their line, were well, well, well beyond their time. Even to this day, they still have a charm to them. In regards to Marvel Toys, they didn't fold because TNA left them... they simply folded because of Marvel giving their licence to Hasbro. They stayed in business almost exactly after a year after this, I think that they just spent 2007 releasing molds that they'd already created beforehand. Looking back through Q&As, I just get the gut impression that the designers knew Marvel/the TNA line was going to be finished soon.
Such a damn shame - the Jakks line was fairly decent, though they never really went out of their way for the fans I found.

I wish that BFG 06 Sting figure was released and there's a seller on ebay called alexfei who sells some TNA Marvel figures but they come in their packet without the backing card

I don't like the figures where you squeeze the leg and it makes either their head or arms swing because they might break easily EG:Jeff Jarrett but the ones with normal articulation were good and the Marvel Stings could hold their bats with both hands whereas the Jakks ones could only hold the bats in the left hand and their heads were bulbous

I ordered from that guy, the Sting had a little brown scuff on his face I couldn't get rid of and the Christian jumpsuit didn't hold up great over the years, Marvel put this weird sticky shiny black stuff over the black parts to make it look better but I don't think they thought about ten years after they went out of business. Overall though if you're not super crazy OCD about that stuff, then they're great buys. Also, I picked up a new Matt Bentley that came in the mail today! Woo-hoo! I do remember the "real scale" ring protos you saw in the pics of the last set of two packs, so cool, I loved the rings they did release but I would have loved a larger one and a King of the Mountain one.

The action features sucked but this line was so nostalgic for me as I started watching TNA heavily in 2005/06, I've started collecting them again so I'll throw some pictures up once more of them arrive.

i remember reading on the TNA website that they were signed for a toy deal, i was so excited. I think it was like a year or so until they actually came out. loved the figures.
One figure had bad joints though, the R Truth was notorious for falling apart, especially the legs/crotch area.

Shame the paint apps and joints were so hit and miss.

The best thing to ever come out of the Toy Biz Marvel TNA line was... The Championship Title Belts. I wish they somehow made the NWA United States Championship Title Belt.

Found this on my old Photobucket, it was ridiculous how small Shark Boy was for being billed as 5'10

I been thinking about rebuying several of these. I might be misremebering the size though. In my mind they were pretty compatible with Mattel, but that Shark Boy and Rey pic above me kinda makes me rethink that. Lol

Rhino is sorta as well, he's just a bit shorter than my Elite Mark Henry, just like in real life. "Wildcat" Chris Harris you could probably get away with too, he should be a bit taller with how tall he is in real life, but it's not super noticeable. He is taller than your average Mattel. Those are the figures I had in my room to compare with, I never got the second and third versions of Abyss but I'm pretty sure they're just huge enough to work with Mattel as well.
