Mae was so entertaining! Love that woman, she did what ever to stay relevant.
The name fits for future females that want to get in the business.

If those "rumors" are true... It's risky. I'm sorry I'm out of the loop, but what rumors are you guys referring to?

I respect that, much like the Dusty Rhodes Classic.
Hopefully Io Shirai wins it though.

Very happy that they are going to honor Mae, but Mae didn't have anything to do with the WWE until she was already old. Sure she took a sick table bump and was funnier then most of the roster. I would have named it after The Fabulous Moohlah. Sure she owned the title belt, but she did more in her tenure in the WWE/F then Mae did. Moolah also set women's wrestling back years for being a scumbag, and pimping her students out to her Husband, and stealing pay and the spotlight from them as well. Welcome to the pro wrestling business.

Welcome to the pro wrestling business. You can't write off what Moolah did because She pimped her students out to men, whether they wanted to not! They were often raped as well.

Other women wrestlers have said she sexually exploited her recruits. Wow lol There's a detailed section on her wiki about what others have said. It's been confirmed by many older generations, so take it how you will.

I think the Trish Stratus Classic would have been far more fitting. She did far more for women's wrestling in the WWE than May Young did I do not mean that in a disrespectful way for May Young. I just think that as this is a WWE thing, Trish Stratus would have been the better choice.

Until proven guilty, all is well. In most situations I would agree with that sentiment, but the accusations of Moolah have been supported by so many people in the wrestling industry from the time. If you want to read up on the subject, I'd highly recommend the book 'Sisterhood of the Squared Circle'. Part of it documents what a vile human being Moolah was. Not only did she pimp her female wrestlers out to male wrestlers, often arranging for them to be raped, but she took a hefty chunk of all her female wrestlers' pay to ensure that they wouldn't be able to move away from her, so she could continue to take a large portion of their earnings. And to top it all off, she also put a really damaging stranglehold on women's wrestling, convincing wrestling promoters to blacklist those who didn't want to work for her.

I don't necessarily care for the name but I hope Lufisto and Candice LeRae are in it.

I have to check into that. I can't believe I didn't even know about this.

I got a notification on the WWE App. First four women for the tournament announced. The first four are Toni Storm (a name i heard a lot of people wanting), Lacey Evans, Sarah Logan (Crazy Mary Dobson), and Princesa Sugheit. I could see a third of the tournament being filled with the NXT women. Im sure a lot of people are happy to hear Toni Storm is in. Haven't seen much about her, ill have to look her up before the tournament. WWE must have a good relationship with CMLL to get Princesa Sugheit for this tournament. Having a lot of knowledge on lucha libre, if i were to get someone to represent Mexico from CMLL, I would have gone with Marcela. Heck, i would have also gone with Zeuxis from CMLL to represent Puerto Rico since i doubt they would have been able to grab Ivelisse for the tournament. Reason i mention those two is because those are the two who impress me the most on the CMLL Women's division (along with Estrellita, but thats more of a looks attraction lol)

Patrick Clark was signed prior to turning 21 - he's 21 now. Though I did read that they supposedly had a new rule against signing anyone under 21 within the last year or so.
