With his talent he should be able to be a top star in the WWE. But with today's fans who knows? Because as soon as someone makes it to the top the fans start to turn on them for the new flavor of the month. Hell, some on this board started turning on him his first night on RAW because he won multiple matches that night.

Anyone can be a top star if they're booked to be one.
See: Roman Reigns

Seems to be already. So I see no reason why that will change.

I don't see much special about him honestly. I have nothing against him, but I don't see much special about him at all. Keep in mind I only watch WWE (no NXT or any other stuff), but he just comes across as a bland mid-card talent to me. Seems like they are trying to push him as a top talent now, and I'm sure he will get a real title run in the future.

Fans turned on him big time last July because of his crazy push so he's in the same boat as everyone else when it comes to them.
What is really on his side is the Demon persona because it's one of the biggest marketing tools in WWE today and if it keeps making the company money Vince will keep him on top despite any haters who turn on him.

He currently is. They just gotta make sure they keep giving him interesting stuff to do.
Personally, I'd like to see him go on to face Lesnar, but come up short. Maybe even have Gallows and Anderson run in on Brock to help Finn but then he fights them off because he didn't want their help. That could lead to a feud. Then maybe Reigns steps up to help Finn, but after a while Finn turns on Reigns. Then it's Reigns vs the Club.
Just spitballing ideas but there's a lot they can do with Finn.

Yeah he is/will be. I'm not a fan of Balor and don't like how they're going to have him beat a guy like Brock Lesnar most likely. He's a cruiserweight, shouldn't be a world champ.

I'm a big Balor fan. He seems like a cheeky little bastard, but has that fighter about him. Add in the whole Demon for big events when he needs to overcome the odds. U already have a hook for the casual fan.
As long as they keep the Demon a thing, but only at big events - he will be a top talent. Already is...

If fans get behind him and he's able to get over as both a face and a heel, he'll have no problem being a main eventer. He moves merch well, so that's not a problem either. I could realistically see him having the Punk spot.

Hell, some on this board started turning on him his first night on RAW because he won multiple matches that night. If they're pushed too fast... fans begin to backlash. If they're booked to lose occasionally... fans think they're being buried. It's a no win situation really. Fans are just too fickle nowadays.

He might be able to get to CM Punk levels. The Demon gimmick helps. But this is the WWE and him being so small will hinder him somewhat.

Other than a loss to Super Roman, it looks like they are and have already strapping a huge jetpack to his back.

Finn has a huge uphill battle because of his size. He's going to need a lot of fan momentum if he's going to maintain a position atop the card. By default, smaller guys will never be Vince's "go-to" unless the fans demand it. See: CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles.

Finn Balor is the reason why I hate 205 Live.
We are supposed to believe that Finn Balor can compete with the likes of Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar, but guys like Austin Aries, Brian Kendrick and Neville are put into a category of just wrestling each other. When Neville looks to be much bigger than Balor.
