He has the look. He has the talent. He has the charisma. And he has the ability to push merch. If they wanted to, they could build the company around him easily as the top guy. Yes some of the Internet would start turning on him, but they do that for most anything because most wrestling fans are self entitled, fickle, asshats anyways.
Instead he will be one of many top guys that will eventually get a few reigns with the Universal and one day the WWE championships

Can the first Universal champion be a big star? Hmmm...

Just turn him heel and align him with Luke and Gallows and then he'll be a much bigger star. Balor is good now, but he can be way better.

The way they put Heyman out there to hype Finn up was very telling about what the company thinks of him. I was in the same boat of people who didn't think Finn could hang with Brock realistically, but that promo changed my mind. I'm a huge Finn fan and even I was skeptical.
Honestly, I just want the belt off Lesnar whether Finn beats him straight up, dirty, interference by Gallows and Anderson, whatever. Get the belt off Lesnar ASAP.

Sure he can. I almost think he's higher than Rollins on the totem pole now to be honest. The Heyman thing was telling. Unfortunately for him, he's on the same show as Reigns. I'd like to think Finn is slated to beat Lesnar and have a run with the belt he never lost. But from the sound of it, Lesnar is just gonna plow through the roster where the Big Dog will be waiting for him at Mania.

Finn Balor is the reason why I hate 205 Live. We are supposed to believe that Finn Balor can compete with the likes of Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar, but guys like Austin Aries, Brian Kendrick and Neville are put into a category of just wrestling each other. When Neville looks to be much bigger than Balor. If Neville wasn't two feet tall, he'd be a bigger star. And no, that wasn't a pun.

Yeah he'll be as big of a star as Vince wants him to be.
Which will be less than Roman.

You can place the blame on guys like Rey Mysterio & Eddie Guerrero who were legit cruiserweights and won the WWE Title.

I don't know if anyone can become a top star in the WWE these days. It feels like the product is just sinking and nobody's going to be able to stop them from drowning. So much of the shows mean nothing now, just time fillers to take up space.
Did Stone Cold and the Rock propel the WWF to greatness, or did the Monday Night Wars/Attitude Era propel them to greatness?

Heymans promo on Balor was a great insight into what's thought of him IMO. I do reckon he would be better off on SD! away from Reigns though.
Partly that's me wanting a Balor vs AJ feud REAL bad though.......

He's basically got the Jeff Hardy factor, and Jeff was the closest babyface to Cena levels (until Punk and Bryan came along at least). Finn may suffer from lack of personality and how nervous he is at talking, but he's certainly a solid #2 babyface going forward. The black face paint gimmick is marketable and he seems like he'll keep out of trouble backstage. If his body holds up I think he'll be around the top of the card for the rest of his career.

Finn Balor should be the face of Raw. Instead, they're booking him like crap and killing his momentum.

He CAN be....but he's more likely going to be a seth rollins type, where he'll have his few months at the top as world champ, but the bigger picture is getting the belt to Roman Reigns somehow, so he'll lose it and the guy he loses it to will lose it to Reigns so Reigns can avenge his little buddy Finn.
and then he'll just have random feuds and matches until his contract is up or he retires

I feel he can be if they gave him the right storylines and feuds to become something. The booking is whats wrong with not only Balor not being too perceived as a top guy, but a lot of people who have the ability to become a top guy. Yes they focus way too much on Roman, but thats been the problem with the booking for over a decade now. They put all their eggs in one basket and because Vince personally believes Reigns is THE guy to focus on, it clouds the way the booking goes. They have someone like Finn Balor, who uses the demon body paint, which BTW they should change something with that character. Anyways, they literally have a comic book type character in their roster, which comic book movies today make TONS of money today, and WWE fails to reach that audience, and i feel they can with Balor. WWE could easily have Reigns to be A top guy, but also focus on Balor, they've done it before in the past and can today, but with the lack of competition and the loyalty of fans like myself admittely, who continue to watch dispite the product structure being too repetitive and not as exciting. I remember Solomonster talking about the formula they use for RAW is a big problem, its the same every week, and that is as big of a problem as the bookets not focusing on certain guys who could be stars.
Sorry for my rant if it got too off topic, but i felt it fit the subject. One more thing, i mentioned they should change something with the demon "character" Balor uses when he has the body paint. Reason i put character in quotes is cause other than the entrance being a little different, the demon "character" is simply Finn Balor with body paint. There really no difference between regular Balor and Demon Balor. I know i mention Don Tony, Kevin Castle, Wrestling Soup and Solomonster a lot when i do talk about opinions on what could or should be done, but i do it cause i dont know these opinions to come off as i came up with it, but i strongly agree with this idea that i heard and would be cool to see. When Balor wears the body paint, i agree that he should change the way he acts, the way he wrestles to some extent. Basically he should act as if he snapped and the demon body paint would reflect that. He should even have a totally different finisher that he only uses when hes in the paint

You have to wonder in what position he'd be if he never got hit with that injury the second after being crowned champion.
