He really is the special one. You have to give it to him, I mean to win the champions league with Porto, then do the treble with Inter Milan, and now the Europa league with Utd, theres something about him that when he gets to these finals you know hes just going to win. Loved seeing Man Utd win tonight for Manchester after that awful tragedy, fair play to Utd the pressure would have been on big time. Well done Mourinho and Manchester United!

Jose Mourinho is a world class manager, no doubt about it, but I wouldn't say "head and shoulders above the rest" at all.
He still took a Man Utd team that spent £150m in the summer and was expected to challenge for the title, and finished in sixth place with them. Yeah he won two trophies (Community Shield does not count) but were outplayed and got lucky in the League Cup final, and the Europa League fair enough but it's still a second rate trophy that the top teams aren't interested in winning.
Mourinho has laid some good foundations for United though and I could actually see a serious title challenge next season for the first time since Fergie retired.

Gotta give it to him. I'm not a fan of his at all, but there's no denying he is one of the greatest managers of all time. However, as Cam said, he spent an awful lot of money on players last summer and it was a very disappointing league campaign. One thing seems clear though is that the players believe in his methods and I'm sure they will be up there next season.

I wouldn't call any manager who finishes 6th head and shoulder above the rest. Especially with the current crop of quality managers in the league. Although credit where credit is due the Europa league has given them a get out of jail free card with the Europa league win. Not only does is give them champions league football but it prevents them losing money from their adidas deal.

Mourinho always wins the title in his second season. As a huge Man United Fan I hope this happens. What are your thoughts?

Their start to the season is very generous fixtures wise, they should expect to be 1st-2nd after the opening couple of months. After that who knows. Man City, Chelsea and Spurs will all be strong and Liverpool or Arsenal might be surprisingly good. I'm sure United will have a decent shot at the title next season but unless they add some serious quality to the team then I don't think they'll be champions.

Don't think it's fair to criticize the 6th place finish. They went 20+ games undefeated, too many draws, but more due to the creative crap that had been brought in previous seasons.
He brought in Ibra and Pogba. Best two players in the key games.
Mykytarian missed a lot of games injured but was class in a lot of games..
Then it's Martial and Mata, etc. Rooney has been finished for years. Rashford is just a raw kid.
They are only a couple of players away from being a force under Mourinho.
Spurs will be lucky to finish top 5 this year, and I've got to get to fricking Wembley every week.....
