I would get rid of the Ddio piece and instead make it an individual logo for the wrestler. It would be pretty cool to get an AJ with his logo behind him, or an Ultimate Warrior with his face paint logo behind him.

trash i throw out. what a waste
if the cardboard insert piece was a small square logo that didn't block everything behind it, then that would be cool. 4 horseman, wcw, nitro, old school wwe, dx, nwo, etc

Just look at all that wasted plastic, they could've made an elite Titus O'N-HAHHAAHAHAH. I'm Sorry, I couldn't finish that sentence seriously.

I never even needed the stands on the old figures since they stand just fine in their own. The tiered stands that Mattycollector had made sense at least for elevating your back rows. The only plus for the old stands in my opinion were the nametags. These new stands add nothing to the release and have gaps in the picture when you abut them all. Original stands cost money, why the hell wouldn't these? Saying these don't affect budget is stupid. When i look at these large and heavy pieces of plastic and a coated piece of printed cardboard all I see are Elite 47 AJ Styles without elbow and knee pads and Elite 51 Mankind's unpainted lips. So you're saying Mattel never made a figure missing accessories or with paint errors prior to the diorama? No but rather the epidemic of corner cutting on the last few sets. If someone was missing elbow pads one could point at a soft goods piece taking some budget. Or if a deco hit was skipped on one guy it might have been because someone like Fandango had so many. What I'm getting at is that I assure you that plastic didn't suddenly become free because these stands are a bonus. That money came from somewhere and missing paint apps are a pretty solid guess.

i want to know what the defense is on bringing these bulky almost useless things back, when the original stands that were half the size were taken away due to "cost"

I throw em in a box and occasionally use em for customized backgrounds. That's a much better use of them. They match the characters. The main thing I've disliked about them is the gap between each one which you seem to have fixed and the generic backdrop.

The main thing I've disliked about them is the gap between each one which you seem to have fixed and the generic backdrop. There's still a gap. I don't mind it though. I would prefer it if they did do an image on both sides. Front is 1/6 of a diorama and the back is character specific.

If they made more dioramas of backstage stuff, then maybe, but I'd have to get the entire set and I rarely want an entire series. A crowd diorama would also be useful.
I don't display. I just play sometimes. I want stuff that helps create the workd I see on TV and these don't do that. So now I have a bunch of this stuff I don't want sitting in a box of junk.
I'd much rather they use the cost of a year's worth of this stuff to give us another playset. I know there's probably a huge cost difference, but whatever.
There hasn't been a playset released in the US for 2016.

They are a nice concept, but at this point in the game I have no room for them especially with the way I display my figures. Maybe if I was only going to display 5-6 figures per shelf they would be cooler. But just like ai have done with any accessories that isn't a title, shirt, robe or wrestler specific item I tossed them away.

They would be much nicer if the diorama wasn't a diorama, and instead just had each wrestlers logo or just a picture of them.

Yeah, we need stands but the diorama is a crap idea and it has to be eating some of the budget Edit. Just seen the post above mine, if they looked like that they'd be great 😉

Not a big fan. Cool enough looking but I am very much a cherry picker so I will likely never get a full elite set/full diorama. I'd def prefer more individual accessories even if it's belts or chairs

Useless on this forum, and worthless in real life.

I throw em in a box and occasionally use em for customized backgrounds. Now those are easy on the eyes. Love them! All of those are too good not to compliment.

How did you make yours if you don't mind me asking?
