I would get rid of the Ddio piece and instead make it an individual logo for the wrestler. It would be pretty cool to get an AJ with his logo behind him, or an Ultimate Warrior with his face paint logo behind him. That what I did with mine, and I've gone from not wanting the diarama stands to now wanting more. Now this I like. Not some panorama of the training center that doesnt really fit the character's motif other than, yeah, I guess they work out...

Like everyone else I'd prefer if they were personalized. The first few figures I got with the food I just cut out the card back and stuck it in there.

I don't care for the Diorama thing at all tbh. It's not worth it if you only buy one figure from the set that you want

Don't care for them. A guy at a flea market by me sells the old boxes of the original Mattel stands for 5-7 bucks a box. I keep buying them so I have about 500 stands. No real appeal for the new ones plus I will never buy a complete series to complete it. If they used this idea in a Legends of WrestleMania, Summer Slam, etc and included the ppv logo an old school interview background like a Saturday Night's Main Event then I would be more interested.

I'm gonna make individual display pieces the width of the card holders and laminate them and have backdrops for Taker, Sting, HBK etc That's kinda what I wanna do too. Straight out of the package I don't have much use for the new stands, but that's because I never buy full sets of Elites. So I never have all the pieces to the backdrop. But I intend to do custom backdrops, so I'm glad they're included.

That what I did with mine, and I've gone from not wanting the diarama stands to now wanting more. These are killer!! If the diorama released like this, then I wouldn't mind them being included. How did you make yours if you don't mind me asking? Thanks! I simply just design new ones to the same size as the originals then print them on card. This is my favourite so far because of how it matches the attire:

It's good that they've brought back display stands through all of this, but you can't help but think the budget could be used elsewhere (Actually including kneepads on the 2 Elite AJ's, for instance). It was a good idea and something unique and different in theory, but I think I'm right in saying the interest for them just isn't there.

Your reply sucks. Those wrestler-specific customs are awesome. THATS's what we should be getting, if we're getting cardboard backdrops.

I opened my recent Elite pick ups from Ringside. So excited to open them up and check out the figures. After opening them all up I realize I have a pile of figure stands, backdrop and wall stand. Now I have these, plus all the other ones that released in the previous Elites. I assembled them only to find out after that it's pretty difficult taking them apart (to the point that it feels like your going to snap and break it). Why would these be an incentive to collect them all in order the build the complete diorama!? I kind of of like the idea of a figure stand (these seem too small where the figure is standing a little on the edge of the stand instead of the middle) but compared to the earlier version these aren't that good. With all that extra plastic, Mattel could be using it for more accessories or more deco on the wrestlers attires. (Or even use it to help with the QC problem) How do you feel about the diorama? 100% agreed. Lose the diorama pieces and put more effort into the heads.

Get rid of the display stands altogether in elites. Take that money/budget and put accessories back into battlepacks. THIS. Jakks > Mattel in terms of accessories BTW.

The best solution if they keep the diorama is to make the card double sided. One side makes up an environment background and the other side is a wrestler specific backdrop.

I really don't care for them and think they add no value. I won't miss them if Mattel decides to phase them out sometime soon.

I don't even take them out of the box. I guess the stand usually falls out so I do see it.
I just throw away the other pieces along with the box. I have kept a few stands but I trash them too.

Something else would be preferable... pretty much anything else.
Chairs, weapons, belts, more ring entrance gear, pieces to build an announcers table, display stands modeled after different era logos (80's block letters, attitude era, network logo, wcw block letters, nWo logo, ecw logo, etc.), plastic or cloth backdrops for individual wrestlers or various pay per view events, bring back BAF managers & announcers...
I dunno, an additional small set of kneepads for when you don't want freakin Absolutely EVERYONE to have long kneepads!

Why not take that money that's being spent on them and put them towards the figures/accessories..
