I think they're great.
What's all this "plastic wasted that could be going to.." talk? Does Mattel have a plastic shortage?
I think they're better than a build-a-figure because they're a lot more optional and look better per figure than having an MOC figure with an arm beside it. I don't want to keep a figure MOC anymore if it has someone's amputated, floating leg beside it in the box.

I'm all for building Pipers Pit, The Snake Pit, The Funeral Parlor, Brother Love's set up and Adrian Adonis's Flower Shop.
After watching Tuesday Night Titans today, I really think Adrian Adonis needs to be made!

I just wish they went back to the normal stands. I don't like these things they just end up in the trash.

If anyone is getting rid of the diorama piece that comes with E51 Mankind PM me.

I don't use them, they're in a drawer and will probably be thrown away eventually. The stands themselves are nice but the cardboard is pointless. I don't have that much room in my display to give everyone some irrelevant backdrop (Except for the boiler room for Mankind)

Im not a big fan of the diorama background because i rarely buy a full set and i love the idea of a display stand but just not these ones
The old display stands were far superior and what i do is rip the side picture on a figures's box and use that as the background for the figure posed on the display stand

The stands don't do much for me but I actually like the diorama pieces. I think they look much better pasted flush against each other to say a piece of foam board. They liven up the back of a shelf nicely. )
My one qualm is, unlike say Marvel Legends where I don't mind picking up every figure to craft a build a figure, I definitely have a few dioramas with holes because i just don't really want the figure that much (Legend Killer Orton, Smiling Demon Kane, yet another Cena). But the ines I've finished so far--46 and 47--I quite like.
I will say, given how plentiful the stands themselves are, people ask an absurd amount for them on eBay.

I'd be interested in printing out my own card to put in there, the designs they come with aren't very inspired.

I like the concept of building a diorama, especially when it comes to reintroducing stands for the figures, but I don't necessarily need it for my display setup nor would I miss it if it were suddenly abandoned. I'm using two of the sets (Elite 46 and 47 A) currently on shelves displayed above my large table setup. The others are all in storage for the time being. They're definitely neat to have as a backdrop and I don't mind the open spaces when the pieces are all connected. There isn't much room for elaborate poses either, but I can live with that. I would just like to see some more classic TV segments depicted on the cards, like a Piper's Pit, Heartbreak Hotel, Funeral Parlor, Highlight Reel, Miz TV (for the current fans), King's Court, Snake Pit or Barber/Body/Flower Shop background. Anything to break up the monotony of generic backstage areas.

I like the idea of Schamberger doing the dioramas. Especially if they each stand on their own as an individual piece.

I'd just like to see them make ones that build a crowd/universe/fans however you want to refer to them...I know certain ones have a bit of a crowd backdrop with the stage etc. but just making something that has levels of fan images with each series you get that builds them higher up like a staircase for a crowd atmosphere. We have barricades, commentator tables, stages and backstage sets. Something like that imo. would be the perfect final piece. They may have already done something like that for a playset, but I haven't seen anything like that yet myself outside of custom arena pics.

I've seen people make custom backer cards to go in the stands. Those look cool the provided cards are dull though. I've never bought a whole wave and even if I did I wouldn't display them together.

I thought I could use some as backdrops to my existing playsets. Until I out them together and realized there's a very noticeable gap between each piece making it look terrible connected together.
