He's floundering even on S.D. number 4 baby face in a 2 hour show is doing him no good. He needs a heel turn. He could rise quickly fueding with AJ and Nakumora. Not to mention the heels on S.D. r weak.

Uhhhh nooo.
He's in a really really good spot if you think about it. On Smackdown he's constantly featured and just got a big win against Corbin. On Raw he wasn't featured on a weekly basis and barely had a feud with Braun Strowman. Just because he's not handed a championship opportunity as quickly doesn't mean he needs to turn heel. Sami is a slow-build to eventually get to a big title match one day.
Smackdown desperately needs top heels, no doubt, but Sami isn't the guy to turn. It just doesn't make sense. Just give it another year or so and Bobby Roode will be the top heel on SD.

I hate this idea that if a guy is "floundering" then he should turn heel and he'll immediately be a huge star.

He needs a gym, and better taste in music.
Aside from that leave him alone.

He doesn't need to turn heel all he needs to do is turn away from that socially awkward nerd character thing he's got going on now

I dunno bout you, but seeing heel would be weird...also the last time he was heel it was weird.

No, he doesn't. He's perfect as a face. He just needs a good feud rather than just being constantly booked against the bully of the brand. And even then, his feud against Corbin hasn't been terrible.
If AJ were to win the US Title, a face/face feud between them could be fantastic for SummerSlam.

I really don't think he could pull off being a heel, he's just such a likeable guy. Then again, I said the exact same thing about Neville so what the do I know?

I hate the guy.
He needs to be released, that's what he needs!
Every time Baron Corbin beats the hell out of him, I smile a little. I am hoping Kevin Owens gets his hands on him again too and gives him some more apron-bombs, for it makes me laugh.

WWE is keeping a pretty tight grip on Sami Zayn..
He's got potential to be Daniel Bryan-esque. Under dog baby face with huge potential. And WWE doesn't want another superstar's popularity get out of their control again.. They learned their lesson.
I firmly believe WWE is purposely holding him back.

With Jinder Mahal currently WWE Champion, I feel Sami Zayn should be the next challenger at Smackdown's July PPV. Have him put on a great showing at MITB but come up short. Shane is impressed and puts Sami in a Number 1 Contender's match that he wins. Jinder is still fresh enough for people to believe that Sami could be victorious, while Sami is a good enough sympathetic babyface that could help Jinder earn more credibility as a main event heel. Win - win.

Bring in El Generico as his popular alter ego. It was a huge deal when Foley brought Cactus Jack to the WWE so Sami should do the same.

I'd never be able to take Sami Zayn seriously if he did ever turn.
Also with that theme song, he'll always be a face.

Sami Zayn is awesome. He's one of the likeable characters that doesn't come off as cheesy or annoying. Plus he is great in ring too.

There are plenty in WWE that would benefit from a heel turn. Sami is not one of those. He should ALWAYS be a baby-face cause he plays the underdog better than anyone on the WWE roster. I'm sorry but Sami as a heel is just a bad idea.
