I don't know where to get good coverage for what I'm not following, but can y'all clarify for me, is the Xbox One X just a hardware/feature refresh to the Xbox One? Similarly to what the PS4 Pro was? Its not the start of the 9th Generation is it? Yeah One X is just a really powerful One S. What I took away from it is that you're not gonna need it if you already have XBone or OneS but games are gonna look the best one the OneX. So if you dont already have one of the first two models, or if you do and just want the best, and you can afford it then you probably should get the X. Thanks. I read one article while tired with a half open eye I took it as a next generation. I'm not finished with my PS4, not ready for next gen yet.

To add to what the bloke was saying, just to make it a little more clear if XOX is something you'll need. Got a 4K TV? Wanna watch blu-rays in 4K? Would you wanna pay £499 for 10-15 more fps in games you already own? If yes, buy it, if not, the older consoles will be fine.

The Xcom-like Mario game looks like a lot of fun. Will definitely have to pick that up when I eventually get a Switch.

I like that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was announced today, leaving more room for other games for Nintendo's E3 Spotlight.

Oh my! Age of Empires Remaster! And unlike AoE2 HD Edition, it looks as though it's actually been done properly this time. Did not expect this at all. I'll admit, I could never get into Age of Empires 1, I was always much more into Age of Empires 2. However, this HD remake looks fantastic, and I can't wait to play it.
Also, absolutely loved the Shadow of War footage uploaded so far. Bruz is the hero we all deserve.

Well I'd love it to be so. Really enjoyed AoE3, so a sequel would be very welcome. I'd be thrilled.

Sony's conference was okay. The VR stuff ran way too long. On the other hand, I not only got to see more into Marvel vs Capcom Infinite but there's a story demo out now that I'm just starting to download. Like...it wasn't the best conference, but that alone got me super hyped.
The Spider-Man game looks great too. It seems to follow the Arkham formula with a ton more action and that's perfectly fine. Miles Morales at the end was a big surprise too.
Monster Hunter on ps4 is going to be a big deal. I've never personally been a fan of the games, but I know my brother loves them and that they're a pretty huge deal.

The Sony conference didn't out do Microsoft for me. It was alright. The zombie games looks like a load of fun, the Spider-Man game looks like quicktime events the video game. If Nintendo impresses tomorrow I'll actually have to go and get a Switch. The Mario-Rabbids game looked pretty neat.

I think I've figured out why I find Nintendo to be so lacklastur at e3 these past few years. It's the direct format. It doesn't feel nearly as special. Like, can you imagine how that console Pokemon game would have gone over in front of a live audience? It would have seemed so much more special and build a ton more hype compared to the rather flat announcement it had otherwise. Possibly Twilight Princess reveal levels of hype and cheer.
Fire Emblem Warriors I'm still excited for though. Would liked to have seen less characters from Fates though. There are a ton of characters to draw from over 15 games after all. The new Xenoblade looks interesting too and as bad as I am at 3d Mario games, Odyssey looks great.

Nintendo won E3 for me. Xenoblade looks sick, Kirby looks like a ton of fun, not one, but TWO Metroid games were FINALLY announced, and Mario Odyssey looks freaking amazing.

God of War was my main takeaway from this year. Can't wait.

Microsoft won it this year I think, but damn did Ubisoft not come close. Microsoft got the edge though with some unexpected games and trying to appeal to a broad audience.

Really? I thought theirs was the weakest of Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo Ubisoft won for me. By quite a margain. Easily. Instead of a two hour circle jerk, Nintendo kept it short and sweet with a 25 minute rapid fire presentation, and everything they showed was gold. New trailers for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Super Mario Odyssey; new Kirby and Yoshi games for 2018; Rocket League with exclusive content and cross network multiplayer; and confirmation of a core Pokémon RPG and Metroid Prime 4. That's earth shattering.

I'm a Nintendo guy but have to admit Sony had the best presentation. Live presentation in front of a sold out audience with no BS. Just trailer after trailer after trailer with every game shown being very impressive (with the exception of the VR stuff). A stand alone Uncharted spin off. God of War taken in a new direction. DLC for Horizon. Days Gone taking me from "oh no not another f'n zombie game" to "holy poop I need to play that." Solid third party support with Destiny 2, Marvel vs Capcom, Monster Hunter, and COD WW2. Detroit and Shadow of the Colossus also looked good. And then when you're about to be disappointed because of no The Last of Us 2, Spider-Man makes you forgive that by closing the show with a bang.
