I get that Neville is a huge contributor to the Cruiserweight division, and I know to make that division worth a damn, a guy like Neville needs a long reign to solidify it. But that came at the expense of Austin Aries.
For the third match straight Aries has looked like a loser, and that's an awful way to introduce a new superstar because that's their first impression of him. Now that Aries has gone three straight matches with unsuccessful attempts to win the title, I think he should move on from that division because there's nothing left for him to do. Move him up to the IC title picture and feud with Miz or something.

I don't think WWE wants to push him. We know he's talented, but to WWE he's just short, balding and almost 40.
He lost 3 straight matches to Neville and didn't come off looking strong in any of them, and to cap it off he taps out clean in the last one. Where do you go from there? What momentum would he even have if they tried to put him in an angle with Miz for the IC Title, like you suggested?
I just think WWE is going to have him do random useless things until he leaves the WWE. I hope I'm wrong, but they've done nothing positive with Austin Aries since he was injured and then went to 205.
He never should have gone to 205. He either should have gone back to NXT or gone right to the main roster. His booking on 205 has made him look terrible.

I fail to see how he didn't look strong in any of his 3 matches with Neville? Hahaha

They make him look kind of broken down IMO. Neville always won due to Aries aggravating some injury.

with the way he was brought up to 205, and "debuted" on RAW, i really thought they were gonna make big things out of him
but it appears they are just gonna keep the CW title on Neville until the division dies. And guys like Aries are just gonna get lost in the shuffle of meaningless RAW matches

I don't usually watch 205 Live so I don't know if he was on but maybe there is some sort of storyline that's going to start.
When he submitted, he had this weird look on his face and then an even weirder look when he was out on the floor by the ring apron post match (Could be over-analysing though.)
All I want to see, is him out of the Cruiserweight division and in there with the Upper Mid Card guys. Neville is the only guy who is really on par with Aries in the CW division and they got all the juice they can get from them facing off for a while.

Taking time off. When he's back he'll either be in a midcard title picture, or getting pinned by Neville another 100 times until he leaves the company. The division's pretty much dead in the water.

My hope is that he gets bumped up to the IC level. I think he can easily beat Miz and it would be believable. That's the match I'd aim for around SummerSlam time. I mean Neville can't be the King of the CWs if he's not the King of the CWs. It's kind of like KO needing the US Title because he's the new face of America. So I get that they wrote themselves into a corner a bit.

Aries is one of my all-time favorites. He can talk and he can wrestle, which is rare in this day and age. His size is really his only hindrance.
I would love to see him have a run with the IC title.

Simple really.
Have Neville lose the Cruiser Weight Title down the road in an upset. Austin Aries comes out to congratulate said new champion and blasts him and beats him down. Then Austin becomes a heel and gets the belt off that champion. Austin Aries is more suited to be a heel than a face.

Hoping he transitions from the cruiserweight division to the regular division. Would love a Miz/Aries for the IC Title.

Maybe its just me but when he lost at Extreme Rules it looked like he was smirking outside the ring. Maybe a heel turn is in the works.

I may be in the minority, but in my opinion the right guy won. Neville is on tap as my MVP of the year. He's far and away the person I enjoy seeing most on Raw, and up there for best on the entire roster. Fantastic character. Neville may be small, but with his character and his abilities he could easily be a top card guy if they would let him. Without Neville, 205 is a garbage show full of people with no charisma. Literally the ONLY decent people on 205 are Neville, Kendrick, and Aries...but Aries should really be in the US/IC area on the main roster. Miz vs Aries sounds good to me. Now the only problem is finding a face with charisma to face Neville now that he's beaten the only one worth a damn.

He works best as a heel IMO. And i would be pushing him as the CM Punk type, swarmy jerk off heel. Let him off tv for a bit, then come back out of nowhere. He and Ambrose could be good. But I'd definitely position him as a credible IC/US title contender.
