Well damn...
I admittedly was introduced to Adam West through Family Guy but I now love 60's Batman.
RIP to a true legend.

For all the love (and big budget costumes and special effects) the modern day actors get who play Batman, Adam West will always be THE Batman to me. I was child in the 70s and watched the campy Batman show on Saturday mornings in between Scooby Doo and the Super Friends. It's amazing to me how well that show holds up damn near fifty years later. Some things are timeless.
I take solace that he lived a good long life and was rewarded well in his latter years for his part in bringing a comic book legend to the small screen.
RIP Adam West

As I mentioned earlier, I met Mr. West on two occasions. He was very nice to me. Got this signed and personalized to my 3 sons when I met him a few years ago. Pretty awesome piece. RIP.

First off Rest in Peace Adam West. The Word lost it's one true Batman today.
Growing up the 60's series was such a massive influence on me and I never missed an episode, I even used to watch an old VHS copy of the 67 movie. When I fist got into role-playing games I played the old Mayfair DC Heroes game and made myself the new Robin, about 3 months before Tim Drake made his debut.
Batman has and always will be my favorite superhero, and Adam will and forever be my Batman. While others have taken on the role of Gothams Dark Knight. No one has tried or will come close the Adam West's "Bright Knight." His Batman was a shining example of good always finding a way to triumph over evil without compromise.
Once again Rest in Peace Adam West.

Adam West was a part of my entire existence. I loved watching Batman as a kid. I also loved him as Mayor West on Family Guy and Principal Schwinger on The Adventures of Pete & Pete, as well as his contributions to such shows as The Simpsons, Rugrats, Animaniacs, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and SpongeBob SquarePants, among many others. He will be missed. Rest In Peace.

I started watching the doc Starring Adam West earlier this week. It's going to be bittersweet finishing it.
I always loved how he carried himself in public with quiet dignity.

A true superhero. This one really does hurt. I'm a huge Batman fan-West's portrayal gave the character a new life and allowed us to appreciate the fun and lighter side of Batman's adventures. I'm really going to miss Adam West. RIP and thanks so much for all the years of entertainment.

It's very sad to hear this. Batman was part of my early years growing up and he will be missed as will so many others who have passed before him from that era.

As I was driving back to NJ from PA on Rt 78 today, I saw an electric billboard that had the bat signal. Next to it, it read "So long, old chum".
No lie, I got a bit choked up.
