I think it's cool that he has kindly shared the artwork. Truly amazing that they hadn't come about years before. Also, personally I would have not made a premiere of the pin badges. I know he's interested in selling them, but surely you would have more custom if you were slightly more honest with people. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. How was he dishonest? He said 2 days before the reveal that they were not figures.

Do we know that the artwork is legit? When it first surfaces there was a lot of controversy around it. I don't think any of the ones we've seen in the past were in color, usually just b/w.

He has a verified relationship with the artist. He has bought other Hasbro artwork from him as well as an unreleased Brutus figure.

I wasn't expecting figures. But he has build this reveal up to a self promoting exercise. Where if he/she had come out and said look guys I've got these pins here, they're what I've had done, pm me if interested. I might have took him up on the offer.

Whilst not really mind blowing considering we'd already seen the sketches for the whole figures, the reveal was actually a few of the head sculpt sketches for series 12. I'm not sure why people are so hung up on the pin badges.
Back to the topic - the dates on the sketches are interesting. The input for Bastion Booger was dated Nov 8th 1993 but Jeff Jarrett is dated February 4th 1995. Diesel is dated February 2nd 1994. I wonder why Bastion Booger didn't make it into one of the released series? Was that too late for green card inclusion?
So after what we've seen and a few rumours, series 12 would have been;
Mo Mabel Jeff Jarrett Diesel Bastion Booger Doink Lex Luger
I know a few people were suggesting another Undertaker but we've see no sketches to indicate that was true. I know the head sculpt was floating around but that really could have been for any series.

I think the pins look cool. I honestly love just seeing the card art. Only one I was really interested in was Diesel, but even then, I'm not really a pin guy. The sketches are always interesting to see as well.
This just makes me want a Mattel Retro Diesel even more. He honestly should have been in the very first wave.

Besides those 2 and Diesel we will probably never see the other figures released in Mattel Retro. I wish TNA would cash in on the Mattel Retro craze and give us that Jarrett and whoever else they could get away with. Better than a Dixie Carter exclusive for sure.

Forgot Luger and Doink were in those sketches. Intresting lineup. I do love the sketches he showed if infact they are real, and it sounds like they are now. I was just surpised that if they were legit there wasn't more discussion about them.
Now, does anyone know a lineup for the 3rd assortment for 95'? I know there wouldn't be any artwork or scupts or anything, but perhaps a list of names?

I thought Taker was confirmed for the Orange card set? www.adventuresincollecting.net/toys/hasbro-wwf-unreleased-undertaker-orange-card-series-2-up-headsand

Even Texas Tornado was in one of the photo's. Around the same time other 2Up heads surfaced like the Savage and Hogan but we've no idea which series (if any) they were planned for. How do we know that the "Undertaker" head wasn't intended for the red series but they scrapped it and just re-painted the earlier figure?

The dates are interesting to me as well.
Many have suggested that the figures were to be released in 1994. Jarrett's sketch is dated 1995. That'd mean the figures would've been released then.
If Bastion Booger was going to be released as a part of the set then we'd have a similar situation to Ricky Steamboat and others as Booger's last match was in the summer of 1994.

Wouldn't surprise me if they released Booger a year after he left the company. They did that a lot. I think they typically planned a set a year out. I would love to know what other guys were in certain lineups that were dropped because they left.

Pretty sure that Taker head was for a much taller GI JOE style figure. Same with that Macho and Hogan head.

Even though I won't buy, still a very cool idea and awesome to see what the last Hasbro series would of looked like. Crazy that things like this, Green Macho, & the Rock n Wrestling protos surface after all these years.
