I thought they announced they he got a contract but they put out a press release of everyone that got a tryout recently and he was listed. Anyone know what's up?

Probably just hasnt been announced. Gunner evidently signed as well and even completed his move to Orlando.

They haven't announced anything. If they are interested , it takes time for these things to become official. Physicals have to be passed, contracts have to be drawn up, and story lines need to be written.

Steve and EY have been friends for close to 20 years now, so I wouldn't be too shocked if he got signed and was put into SAnitY. I could see him and EY becoming NXT Tag Champions down the road actually.
