Hey guys, first off my apologies to the mods if this needs to move elsewhere, I could not figure out where it would best fit.
I was watching the story of Glacier yesterday, and it got me to thinking, would you, regardless of company, rather wrestle in front of a small crowd of fans whom love your character, where you know it, or a very large crowd whom the cheers are hard to hear and the crowd is mostly neutral or negative?
For people whom have a character that does not hit for everyone, like Glacier, it has to be nice to wrestle in front of a crowd that digs what you are doing and who you are. I would rather feel the love than wrestle in front of 10k people who don't like me or care.
God bless the bingo halls.

the problem with the bingo halls is that they don't pay the same - and at the end of the day, if you're choosing to wrestle where you're more over than where you make the most money, you're a mark.

If I'm putting my body through through stress of travel and throwing myself at the ground, I want to be making as much money as possible. Regardless of crowd reactions.

If I'm just wrestling for fun then I'd rather wrestle where I had fans. I wouldn't take a pay cut to do that though. I didn't like glacier. I always wanted Mortis to beat him

Money can buy a lot of things, but it can't buy happiness.

Money can buy a lot of things, but it can't buy happiness. Actually money can buy happiness, it's been proven it can make someone happy so long as that person buys things they like or want.

Wrestling on weekends once or twice a month for the love of the game is one thing, but if this is your business...if this is your LIFE...you take the money.
Your run could end at ANY minute. You need to make sure you have money in the bank for the future.

If my choice is either wrestling in a small, random Minnesota based wrestling company where I can sleep in my own bed every night, wrestle in front of my friends and family, have fun and be a top guy there or wrestle in WWE 2017, I'm taking the former 11 times out of 10 regardless of money.

Money can buy a lot of things, but it can't buy happiness. Sure it can. It's called an "adoption fee".

As a wrestler you want to be on the biggest stage possible and in front of as many people as possible. That's why as a kid these guys dream of wrestling at wrestle mania. It truly means you made it when you can say you wrestled in front of 100,000 people. I'd pick that anyday.

Bad News Brown said it best in his Shoot, he was in it for the Check book not the scrap book. Go where the money is.

With all the money being equal, and only crowd size and enthusiasm being different, would that change anything for any of you who said the bigger crowd because of money? k5 Valbroski @vadertime Halloween King

Puts more eyes on you. Which leads to more positives than say only a couple hundred people seeing you wrestle in a tiny venue.

Does that mean I get paid the same for wrestling in front of 50ooo people and 500? If so I'd be bummed out that the 500 got raked over the coals to pay the same amount as 50ooo people.
