This video was posted on Hulk Hogan's official YouTube account last week:
He's been shown in more and more commercials and WWE Network promos recently.

Great news! Don't get me wrong, his racist nature is absolutely despicable and should never be forgotten or forgiven, but at the same time, he is the biggest icon in wrestling history, and I can't wait for more merchandise, specifically his return to the WWE 2K series.

Good. He won his case. The whole deal was nonsense. He's as synonymous with WWE as WWE is with him. Life is too short. Get this guy where he belongs, brother.

There's nothing left for Hogan to do, and it's time to move on. He has no business on WWE TV anymore.

There's nothing left for Hogan to do, and it's time to move on. He has no business on WWE TV anymore. If/when he comes back, he's not going to wrestle obviously, and it's doubtful he even is involved in any storylines. He's going to be what he was in 2014-2015....WWE Network spokesmen and they'll sell merchandise (action figures, t-shirts, WWE 2k video game, etc). He's going to be 64 in August. He's not all of a sudden going to be getting massive amounts of TV time. This is about the Network and merchandise, exactly what they brought him back in the first place to do. Only times you'll see him on TV is like 3-4 times a year, exactly like with HBK, Bret, Flair, Edge, and other Legends. Old School RAW, maybe host of a SummerSlam/WrestleMania, WWE Network Pre-Show.....that's it.

That, and I just don't think he belongs anymore. He burned his bridges. But, I didn't think Warrior belonged, either, and I still think it's pretty gross that they honor him yearly.

Honestly....I don't think Hogan burned any bridge or did anything wrong. He said what he said while being illegally video taped in what he thought was a private conversation. Everyone who ever met Hogan said he's never been anything but polite and respectful to people's faces. Whatever he says in the privacy of his own home is really his business and it never should have seen the light of day. Everyone is two-faced. People have public and private personas and they act the way they do in public because you need to conform to what is socially acceptable. But what Hogan says around the dinner table or in his bedroom is really nobody's business. I think WWE made a knee-jerk reaction to the whole thing and the way Hogan has been sympathized with and supported by the fans shows that people really don't care too much about this, for the most part. Ultimate Warrior used to go on horrible anti-gay tirades, but he was brought back, inducted into the Hall of Fame, and like you said, gets honored yearly. I think there is money to be made with Hogan. Just like they are still making money off Warrior, HBK, Edge, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, and all the other Legends. None of them really "belong" or fit in with today's WWE product....but it's like New York Yankees Old Timers Day...you bring them back once a year to thank them for their service, honor their legacy, sell some jersey's and then we'll see ya next year. People like to see the HBK entrance, people like to see Edge and Christian do the 5 second pose, people want to hear Ric Flair WOOOOOOO, and I think people want to see Hogan do the entrance once or twice a year, maybe buy a t-shirt, action figure, and play him in WWE 2K.

Completely disagree, especially with the point about Hogan doing nothing wrong. That, to me, is completely excusing disgusting behavior to protect fandom. A racist is a racist is a racist. If you're a racist in your home but not in public, you're still a racist. You don't get to excuse yourself just because you said it in private. I sympathize with Hogan's general case - that private tapes were released without his permission, but it happened and now people know, and you can't take that back or erase it just because it happened behind closed doors and we weren't supposed to hear it. WWE absolutely did the right thing. This discussion has been had ad nauseam, so there's really no point in hashing the whole thing out again. I get it - people want toys and video game characters of a guy they used to love, or, for whatever reason, still love. It is what it is, I just don't agree with it.

there's a zero chance that they're bringing him back anywhere near to when that new documentary focusing on his trial, which centers around the idea that the rich can pay their way out of their problems, is about to hit netflix. hogan could be in for another wave of bad public perception.

That's what I figured too....but in the video he's clearly at WWE for some reason....he's in his red and yellow WWE shirt and bandanna...might be filming WWE Network vignettes, doing interviews for WWE Networks shows, taking promotional pics....?

I'm no Hogan fan. Been anti-Hogan for about 30 years. But I am not against him returning for a few short stints here n there. Just make sure Mattel has the nWo Hogan ready in case it's not long till his big mouth ruins it again.

He may not be "back" as in being active on the current roster but its only a matter of time before his Legends deal is reactivated and we're getting merchandise. Vince wont skip out on that.
