Booed, the WWE Champion referred to Michaels declining his offer to shake hands after their match. Shawn Michaels interrupted, the two continuing to duel on the microphone. Michaels claimed that Cena may have won, but that he was not the better man. Cena challenged HBK to a rematch for the WWE Championship, but RAW Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman came out and ordered the two to defend their World Tag Team Championships in an interpromotional tag team battle royal, to begin immediately.
MATCH ONE // World Tag Team Championship - Interpromotional Tag Team Battle Royal // John Cena and Shawn Michaels (c) def. SHOW REPORT:
- The ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley kicked off the show, addressing the attempts made by Vince McMahon to take his championship away from him. Lashley referenced beating Umaga to win the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania, and shaving the Chairman's head bald. He then showed footage of RAW last night, where he humiliated and showed the world Vince's new haircut. Lashley was interrupted by Shane McMahon, who called Lashley out for shaming the McMahon Dynasty that built this company. Lashley reminded him that this wasn't WWE, this was ECW. Shane challenged Lashley to a match on RAW this Monday with the ECW World Championship on the line in an Extreme Rules match. Lashley gladly accepted, when Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada hit the ring, jumping Lashley from behind. Umaga left Lashley laid out after a Samoan Spike.
- Recovering from the attack, Bobby Lashley was approached by Rebecca. The ECW World Champion commented that despite what the McMahon Dynasty did, nothing would stop him from taking the title away from him. Lashley said that ECW was in his blood all along, and whether it's Vince or Shane McMahon, Jonathan Coachman, Armando Alejandro Estrada or Umaga - they would fall to him if they got in his way.
MATCH ONE // CM Punk def. Stevie Richards in 5:31 after the Go To Sleep. The first time the fireman's carry knee strike was acknowledged as the Go To Sleep by Joey Styles and Tazz.
- Elijah Burke was seen watching CM Punk's win whilst Matt Striker, Marcus Cor Von and Kevin Thorn with Ariel talked business. Burke acknowledged how Punk should be a part of the New Breed, but the others digressed. The New Breed talked strategy regarding tonight's Extreme Rules eight-man tag team bout with the ECW Originals. Striker, Thorn and Cor Von agreed that they need to fight fire with fire and get extreme on the old-timer Originals' asses.
- Rebecca attempted to interview Snitsky before his upcoming match against Hardcore Holly, but he refused to speak, snarled at her, then stomped away.
- Timbaland was hanging out with Rob Van Dam in a backstage corridor, when they were approached by Extreme Exposé. Timbaland liked the idea, when the trio told him they had a dance to show him later tonight.
MATCH TWO // Hardcore Holly def. Snitsky in 3:03 after a roll-up. Snitsky attacked Holly after the bell, looking to continue his recent path of destruction. Holly fought back, bringing the fight to Snitsky. Holly used a steel chair to fend Snitsky off, making it appear that Snitsky had met his match in the veteran, Hardcore Holly.
- Hardcore Holly was interviewed by Rebecca until he was jumped from behind by a vicious Snitsky. Snitsky growled at Holly about how nobody upstages him. Snitsky left Hardcore laying beneath a pile of lighting equipment.
- Rob Van Dam and Sabu were backstage, Van Dam bantering about smashing some New Breed ass with a steel chair tonight. They were joined by the Sandman and Tommy Dreamer, who appeared hell bent on disbanding the New Breed personally tonight in Extreme Rules. Balls Mahoney joined the party wishing moral support. Sandman spat beer and swung his Singapore cane around, when the four were interrupted by the Straight Edge CM Punk, who wished them luck. The ECW Originals appeared weary of the newcomer.
- The trio of Extreme Exposé danced mid-ring for Timbaland, who was in the front row. Suddenly, WWE Women's Champion Melina hit the ring, jumping Brooke, then taking Kelly Kelly and Layla out with the title in hand. Melina left the ring and confronted Timbaland at ringside, angry about being snubbed from the music video shoot. She talked up her popularity with the paparazzi, and how she beat Ashley to retain her title at WrestleMania. Extreme Exposé, in recovering, ran Melina off.
- The New Breed were making their way to the ring for the eight-man tag team Extreme Rules match, before they stopped upon spotting CM Punk. Punk wished them luck tonight, which Elijah Burke thanked him, then considered a little opportunity of theirs. Punk said that he was all ears. The rest of the New Breed weren't sure what to make of this.
MATCH THREE // Eight-Man Tag Team Extreme Rules Match: The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Kevin Thorn and Matt Striker) (w/Ariel) def. The ECW Originals (Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman) in 13:22 after the Elijah Express by Burke on Sabu through a table set up in the corner. This match included many weapons and all-out chaos. Sabu hit a springboard moonsault that put Striker through a table. Thorn hit a crucifix powerbomb on a chair on Van Dam. April 6, 2007 - Fort Wayne, Indiana - Allen County War Memorial (4,500) SmackDown Presentation "Rise Up 2006" by Drowning Pool Broadcast on The CW (2.7)
SHOW REPORT:
- Mr Kennedy hit the ring to start off the fallout of WrestleMania edition of SmackDown, reaching for the microphone above to rant and complain about how his first WrestleMania should have been a victorious one. Kennedy claimed that he should be Mr Money in the Bank, and that he feels slighted that Jeff Hardy of all people is now in possession of what is rightfully his. He was interrupted by Matt Hardy, who noted that Kennedy runs his mouth too much. Hardy made note of how his brother Jeff rightfully earned that briefcase after years of death-defying stunts and torture on his body. Kennedy threatened Hardy, who brought the fight and ran him off. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long arrived, making a match between Hardy and Kennedy official tonight - starting right now.
MATCH ONE // Mr Kennedy def. Matt Hardy in 11:13 after the Mic Check. A hard-fought match, with the Hardys' challenge made to Rated RKO for the World Tag Team Championships referenced by Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield. Kennedy was very aggressive in offense on Hardy. Matt had a bandaged arm from the Money in the Bank ladder match, which Kennedy went after during the match.
- Timbaland was seen hanging out with SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long, when Ashley arrived to propose her involvement in his upcoming music video shoot for "Throw It On Me". Timbaland was intrigued by the Playboy covergirl, until Jillian Hall arrived, singing. She optimistically proposed becoming his music producer, but Timbaland immediately declined the offer. Ashley laughed, whilst Jillian stormed off.
- Batista arrived at the War Memorial, the former World Heavyweight Champion being approached by Kristal for comments, but instead 'the Animal' told her that he would address this later tonight in the ring for the Fort Wayne crowd.
MATCH TWO // Deuce 'n Domino (w/Cherry) def. Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki in 4:41 after the Crack 'em in the Mouth on Funaki. Deuce 'n Domino got on the microphone after the match, talking about how they're hungry for the WWE Tag Team Championships. They talked up Paul London and Brian Kendrick's reign as being 320 days long, but that it would be nothing once they take the titles from them. Paul London and Brian Kendrick hit the ring and brawled with Deuce 'n Domino until the challengers bailed.
- Finlay was backstage searching for Hornswoggle, who had run off once again from 'the Fighting Irishman'. A scream was heard, Queen Sharmell emerged from a dressing room, covering her bra as Hornswoggle had taken a peek. Finlay laughed, but Sharmell scowled. In walked King Booker, who said that the "little man"s behavior was uncalled for, and that he must be smited and exiled from SmackDown. Finlay talked back to the King, who said that Finlay was once a knight - but no longer. He challenged him to a match later tonight.
- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero and Gregory Helms were in the locker room, ranting about how they were excluded from WrestleMania, then shorthanded in the World Tag Team Championship battle royal on RAW, and that they deserved better. Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore overheard, saying that it has been a while since Chavo last put the title on the line. Chavo and Gregory defensively talked about how they haven't earned a title shot. Wang Yang and Moore - ever the odd couple - then said that they were willing to, challenging Guerrero and Helms to a match tonight.
MATCH THREE // WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit def. William Regal (w/Dave Taylor) via disqualification in 10:19 after Montel Vontavious Porter attacked Benoit. MVP had joined commentary prior to this match, lamenting his loss to Benoit back at WrestleMania. He accused Benoit of holding down 'the Franchise Playa'. Dave Taylor was ejected after interfering in front of the referee, mid-match. MVP left Benoit laying, nailing him with his title and declaring his intentions of challenging Benoit again.
- A vignette aired, previewing the arrival of Mike Mizanin, making the jump from ECW to SmackDown. He debuts next week.
- SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was having a conversation with Kristal, who wanted to give the GM a card. As Long began to read, in stormed Mr Kennedy, who complained about his lack of motivation on SmackDown knowing that he deserves much more than what Long is giving him. Long asked Kennedy what he wanted, to which Kennedy demanded that he get a World Heavyweight Championship shot in front of the undeserving former champion Batista. Long told him that he had no idea what Batista was going to say or do tonight - but that if Kennedy wanted something, he should go out of his way and make himself heard. Kennedy snarled at the idea, saying he was already loud and clear.
MATCH FOUR // WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero and Gregory Helms vs Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore went to a no contest in 3:14 after Kane hit the ring and laid out Guerrero and Helms with a double Chokeslam. Kane attacked Wang Yang and Moore as well, but they fell to the floor. 'The Big Red Monster' declared himself as being next in line for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship against his brother, before leaving.
MATCH FIVE // Finlay def. King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell) in 8:37 after a distraction from Hornswoggle stalking Sharmell led to Finlay rolling Booker up. Hornswoggle kept trying to pull Sharmell's leg and bring her under the ring, appearing infatuated by Sharmell. After the match, Hornswoggle jumped at Sharmell, trying to kiss her. Booker attacked Hornswoggle and stomped at him, until Finlay attacked Booker, running him off and comforting the leprechaun.
- King Booker and Queen Sharmell were seen recuperating from the loss moments ago. Up stormed Finlay, who angrily threatened Booker that if he laid his hands on Hornswoggle ever again, that Booker wouldn't look like a King any longer. Booker told Finlay that he was cheated tonight, and that the King deserves a rematch. Finlay told Booker that he would show him what a real man fought like next week.
- Batista hit the ring to address his loss to the Undertaker at WrestleMania. 'The Animal' applauded 'the Deadman' on a hell of a performance. Batista challenged him for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash. Instead, Mr Kennedy's theme hit, and he hit the ring quickly, telling Batista that he sucked at WrestleMania, and that he's had his shot and blown it. Kennedy said that the World title belongs to him, challenging the Undertaker to a title match at Backlash. Kane's pyrotechnics went off, bringing out 'the Big Red Monster'. Kane violently iterated that he wants the World Heavyweight Championship. A staredown ensued when SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long came out and made next week the site: a triple threat match where the winner will go on to challenge the Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash. Kennedy went to jump Batista from behind, attempting a Mic Check on 'the Animal', but Kane broke it up and went to Chokeslam Kennedy, who bailed. Batista and Kane stared each other down.
OTHER NOTES:
- It was announced that Paul London and Brian Kendrick would defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against Deuce 'n Domino next week on SmackDown.

April 9, 2007 - Bridgeport, Connecticut - Harbor Yard Arena (6,000) "...To Be Loved" by Papa Roach Live on the USA Network (3.9)
SHOW REPORT:
- Shawn Michaels headed for the ring to kick off the show, addressing last week when he walked out on John Cena, costing them the World Tag Team Championships to Rated RKO. Michaels declared that he wants his rematch for the WWE Championship, and that he was the real Mr WrestleMania in their main event match. John Cena came out, speaking of the irony of HBK stabbing him in the back like Marty Jannetty. The two quarreled until the new World Tag Team Champions Rated RKO interrupted. Randy Orton and Edge gloated, then started arguing about who pinned the WWE Champion Cena last week and who deserves a shot at the title. Out came the Hardys, Jeff and Matt Hardy reminding everyone who challenged for the World Tag Team Championships last week. All six made their cases clear, when out came Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman, who announced that Cena and Michaels would have to wait another night for their WWE Championship rematch - because tonight would see Rated RKO defend their titles against John Cena and Shawn Michaels, as well as the Hardys in a three-way tag team match. Rated RKO were outraged, when Orton delivered an RKO to Jeff; Matt with a Twist of Fate to Orton; a Spear to Matt from Edge; a Sweet Chin Music from Michaels to Edge; then an FU from Cena to his own partner, Shawn Michaels!
MATCH ONE // Ric Flair and Carlito (w/Torrie Wilson) def. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in 4:15 after the Backstabber by Carlito on Murdoch. Carlito got on the microphone and thanked Flair for the wake-up call, reminding him of the comments made months ago, where Flair told Carlito that he was lacking passion. He showed some clips of the upcoming DVD release "Ric Flair & the Four Horsemen" until The World's Greatest Tag Team interrupted, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas claiming that Carlito was taking advice from a washed up old man. Carlito and Flair vowed to teach them some respect for 'the Nature Boy' next week.
- Shane McMahon greeted Jonathan Coachman in his office. The Executive Vice President discussed his Extreme Rules match tonight with Bobby Lashley, and how ashamed his father Vince is after Lashley humiliated him last week. Shane said that it was up to him to avenge the McMahon Dynasty, and that tonight the ECW World Championship would be coming home with Shane O'Mac.
- Mick Foley was backstage introducing a child from the Make A Wish Foundation, Michael Pena. Foley announced that Pena had been made the honorary RAW General Manager for the night. He met with Maria and the Highlanders, commenting on the bizarre ginger beards of Robbie and Rory McAllister.
MATCH TWO // Candice Michelle def. WWE Women's Champion Melina in 3:30 after the double underhook jumping facebuster. Extreme Exposé arrived and began dancing on the rampway distracting Melina, setting her up for the loss. Melina was angry at the loss after the match and took to the microphone commenting on how she is the WWE Women's Champion and the woman all the paparazzi want to see. She claimed that Extreme Exposé were no-talent strippers, and that they didn't deserve to be in Timbaland's music video. She challenged Kelly Kelly to a match tomorrow on ECW on Sci-Fi.
- WWE Champion John Cena was interviewed by Todd Grisham, who asked about the FU to his own tag partner Shawn Michaels earlier. Cena said that he's surprised Michaels didn't attack him first, but that Cena did it to gain some retribution after costing them the World Tag Team Championships last week on RAW. Cena was interrupted by Shawn Michaels, HBK telling him that he's right he would have done the same thing. Cena and Michaels exchanged tense words until Cena called for a truce in tonight's three-way tag team match. Shawn told John to get back to him when he had a date marked down for a rematch for the WWE Championship.
- Mick Foley was backstage introducing honorary RAW General Manager Michael Pena to Super Crazy, Cryme Tyme and Val Venis. He attempted to introduce him to Johnny Nitro, who instead smirked and walked away. Pena was sad, but Foley recommended something, acting as Pena's assistant. Foley whispered in Pena's ear, to which Pena said that Johnny Nitro facing Viscera tonight was a great idea. Nitro overheard and was outraged, storming out.
MATCH THREE // ECW World Championship - Extreme Rules Match: Bobby Lashley (c) def. Shane McMahon in 7:21 after the Spear. Lashley endured the odds faced by WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada interfering and taking advantage of the Extreme Rules stipulation. Lashley moved out of the way of Coast to Coast, then hit a Spear for the win. A trash can, a Singapore cane, and a table was used. After the match, Umaga repeatedly splashed Lashley in the corner. Umaga put Lashley on the table allowing Shane to connect with a diving elbow drop putting Lashley through the table. Estrada and Shane raised Umaga's hand high in dominance.
- The Hardys were shown hanging out ahead of the three-way World Tag Team Championship match later tonight. Jeff and Matt Hardy talked about their chances of becoming six-time World Tag Team Champions, when Jeff raised his Money in the Bank briefcase, hinting at cashing in on John Cena tonight. Matt encouraged him, but Jeff was hesitant. Matt told him he would support him either way, leaving Jeff to think carefully.
- Mick Foley continued to show honorary RAW General Manager Michael Pena around, meeting Eugene who was excited to meet him. The three were then interrupted by Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman, who had the gall to tell Pena who was really in charge of RAW. Foley got in Coachman's face, talking down to him and telling him that Pena had a great match he wanted to announce later tonight, leaving Coachman - but not before wishing him a nice day. Eugene parroted these words, irritating Coachman to no end.
MATCH FOUR // Johnny Nitro def. Viscera in 2:18 after Viscera missed a splash, setting up for the corkscrew neckbreaker. Nitro didn't look pleased to be in this match, and mainly ran away from him. The Great Khali came storming down to the ring, causing Nitro to run for the hills. Khali began to attack Viscera further, laying him out with two brain chops and a big boot.
- ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley was receiving medical attention in the trainer's office as Todd Grisham approached him for comments. Lashley, despite being pained, explained that the McMahons and Umaga think that this will break him. Lashley reminded him that he was still ECW World Champion, and that although he may not look like it, he beat Shane McMahon tonight. Lashley said that he was sick and tired of having Umaga jump on his back when he wasn't expecting it, and implored Umaga to come to ECW tomorrow night and face him man to man.
- Mick Foley was trying to teach the honorary RAW General Manager Michael Pena about how to address the RAW fans about a fantastic main event idea he had in mind for Backlash. Foley tried to make sure Pena was enthusiastic and excitable, but in walked the World Tag Team Champions Rated RKO. Edge exchanged tense pleasantries with on-again, off-again rival Foley whilst Orton knelt down and asked Pena if he liked them or not - he did not. Orton tried to contain his anger, as he and Edge then asked whether they should be able to challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship. Edge said nobody wanted to see Shawn Michaels get another shot, or Orton. Orton and Edge then began to squabble over what that meant, leaving Mick to continue coaching Pena.
MATCH FIVE // World Tag Team Championship - Three-Way Tag Team Match: The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) def. Rated RKO (Randy Orton and Edge) (c) & John Cena and Shawn Michaels in 16:29 after the Swanton Bomb by Jeff on Edge. Neither Cena and Michaels nor Edge and Orton were getting along in this match, resulting in several periods of miscommunication. Edge and Orton even got into a shoving contest at one point. Michaels gave Cena a Sweet Chin Music as revenge for earlier tonight at one point. Jeff Hardy was keen to take on Cena, but didn't appear to want to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase tonight. After the match, the Hardys celebrated as now six-time World Tag Team Champions, ending Rated RKO's reign in seven days. Cena and Michaels were left mid ring, exchanging words when Mick Foley and honorary RAW General Manager Michael Pena appeared on the TitanTron. Pena made his announcement for the main event of Backlash: John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Shawn Michaels in a rematch from WrestleMania. Cena and Michaels stared each other down to close the show.

April 10, 2007 - Providence, Rhode Island - Dunkin Donuts Center (8,000) "Bodies" by Drowning Pool Live on the Sci-Fi Network (1.65)
SHOW REPORT:
- The New Breed kicked off the show, with Elijah Burke, Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn, Ariel and Marcus Cor Von in the ring. Each took turns in proudly proclaiming themselves as the centerpiece of the new ECW. After each were done describing what they had done and were going to continue doing to the ECW Originals, Burke talked about a hot young prospect that he wanted to be a part of the New Breed - CM Punk. He came out, 'the Straight Edge Superstar' flattered by the New Breed's offer. But despite that, Punk claimed that he was happy by himself. Striker attempted to sway Punk's mind in their favor, when the ECW Originals came out to the ring, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, the Sandman and Tommy Dreamer fending off the New Breed. Burke told Punk to consider it, whilst Dreamer and Van Dam tried to talk sense to Punk.
MATCH ONE // CM Punk def. Stevie Richards in 5:15 after the Go To Sleep. The New Breed and the ECW Originals were present at ringside during this match. Richards had requested this rematch wanting to prove that he had more in him than he showed against Punk last week. After his win, Burke and Cor Von attempted to raise Punk's hand in victory, but the Sandman and Sabu hit the ring, leading to a mass brawl with the New Breed and the Originals breaking out. Sabu picked up a chair during the brawl, aiming to toss it at Thorn, but instead it took Punk out, causing Punk to storm away, just after the Originals had cleared the New Breed from the ring.
- Extreme Exposé were backstage chatting with the make-up lady when Rebecca approached Brooke, Layla and Kelly Kelly. She asked the trio about their thoughts on being in Timbaland's upcoming music video. They claimed that they were so starstruck by Timbaland asking them to personally take part in his music video, and that they dance to wow the fans. Rebecca shifted gears, asking about WWE Women's Champion Melina, who they've had some issues with based on Melina being snubbed from the video shoot. Kelly Kelly said that they showed up on RAW last night to prove that they aren't just pretty faces, and they won't take crap from anybody. Kelly Kelly said that she faces Melina tonight - but this isn't Monday Night RAW, it is ECW on Sci-Fi: the home of Extreme Exposé.
- CM Punk was shown holding his face after being smashed in the face with a wild chair toss by Sabu moments ago. He was stopped by Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker and Kevin Thorn with Ariel. 'The Straight Edge Superstar' sternly told them that he didn't want to talk to them, but the New Breed continued to speak out, saying that the ECW Originals had no respect for him. They called Punk somebody that belonged in the New Breed, and that he is the future of the brand. Punk told them to go away, saying that he'd think about it.
MATCH TWO // WWE Women's Champion Melina def. Kelly Kelly (w/Layla and Brooke) in 2:20 after the Extreme Makeover. Melina arrogantly underestimated Kelly Kelly with her offense, but Kelly continued to fight back. Extreme Exposé members Layla and Brooke didn't do anything to help Kelly besides root Kelly Kelly on, getting the crowd behind her. Melina locked in a single legged Boston crab, screaming at Kelly Kelly to try and dance now, until Layla and Brooke ran her away, aiding to the fallen Kelly.
- CM Punk was in the locker room as Sabu attempted to talk some sense into Punk, apologizing for missing with the steel chair earlier tonight. 'The Straight Edge Superstar' complained that everybody is trying to recruit him like he's a pawn in their little war. Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman took a seat by him, but as Sandman went to chug his beer, Punk told him to put it away around him. Dreamer and Van Dam tried to persuade Punk, claiming that he looks like he belongs with the Originals, and that had he been around back then - he would have been ECW World Champion in no time. Punk grew angry, saying that he feels condescended by them. He said that he was neither New Breed nor an ECW Original, and that he was CM Punk. Punk left, leaving Sandman to ponder what his problem was, continuing to drink his beer.
MATCH THREE // Rob Van Dam def. Elijah Burke in 9:20 after the Five Star Frog Splash. Members of the New Breed came out to ringside early in the match, though the ECW Originals countered it. A Singapore cane shot by the Sandman led to Burke's loss. After the match, the New Breed were getting the better of the ECW Originals, pounding away on Sabu with two Singapore canes. CM Punk hit the ring to fend the New Breed off, but when the Originals got up, Punk left through the crowd - a part of neither side, merely a believer in evening the odds.
- The ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley headed for the ring to call out Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada. Lashley had taped up ribs, citing last night's assault by Shane McMahon and Umaga on RAW. Lashley said that no matter what the McMahons and Umaga tried to do to take that ECW World Championship away and make his life a living hell, it wouldn't work. Lashley said that he beat 'the Samoan Bulldozer' at WrestleMania in Battle of the Billionaires, but what he really wants is to see Umaga fight like a man - no McMahons, no Estrada, just the two of them battling it out. Armando Alejandro Estrada led WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga to the ring, where Estrada called Lashley a bottomfeeder, and that Umaga would wipe the floor and take his title away. Lashley was intrigued, then threw down the challenge: Lashley against Umaga with both the ECW World Championship, and the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line next Tuesday night on ECW on Sci-Fi. Estrada looked like he was out of his mind, when Umaga nodded, then brawled with Lashley. Umaga targeted the bandaged ribs, but Lashley came back, delivering a Spear sending both of them through the barricade as the show went off the air!
OTHER NOTES:
- It was announced that Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von would take on the Sandman and Tommy Dreamer, and Sabu and CM Punk would take on Elijah Burke and Kevin Thorn next week on ECW on Sci-Fi.
- It was announced that Hardcore Holly would do battle with Snitsky in a rematch from last week, next week on ECW on Sci-Fi.
- A video package took a look at "The Condemned" starring Steve Austin, set to "Driven" by Sevendust. Comments from fans and WWE Superstars and Divas were included.

April 13, 2007 - Providence, Rhode Island - Dunkin Donuts Center (8,000) "Rise Up 2006" by Drowning Pool Broadcast on The CW (2.5)
SHOW REPORT:
- Montel Vontavious Porter kicked off the show heading for the ring. He talked up his attack on Chris Benoit, citing it as nothing personal, just business. MVP said that somebody of his greatness should undoubtedly be the top guy on SmackDown, and that he should be standing here tonight as the WWE United States Champion. But he's not, it is held by a man that calls himself a 'Rabid Wolverine'. MVP issued a challenge to Chris Benoit for another title shot, but Chris Benoit hit the ring, not looking happy whatsoever. Porter backed off up the aisleway, reiterating that it was nothing personal, and that he just thinks he would make a better champion of America than the Canadian. Benoit told MVP that maybe if he were a real man, he would get in the ring right now and face him. MVP went to get back inside, but then decided against it. He told Benoit that he'd see him at Backlash.
- Kristal was backstage, approaching the number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, Deuce 'n Domino with Cherry. The trio were hanging out in a parked, vintage Cadillac. Deuce 'n Domino treated Kristal as though she was a "square", and called Paul London and Brian Kendrick dogs that needed to be put down. They said that they've had an impressive little run, but that run ends tonight. Deuce said that they were taking the titles to the other side of the tracks. The trio drove off, set for action.
MATCH ONE // WWE Tag Team Championship: Deuce 'n Domino (w/Cherry) def. Paul London and Brian Kendrick (c) in 11:32 to win the WWE Tag Team Championships after the Crack 'Em in the Mouth on London. Domino took a lead pipe from Cherry and struck London with it leading to the finish. This match ended London and Kendrick's reign as champions at 327 days. Deuce 'n Domino celebrated with Cherry after the match, leaving in the Cadillac.
- Hornswoggle was shown backstage with Finlay, 'the Fighting Irishman' trying to assure his leprechaun friend that nothing terrible would happen to him tonight when he meets King Booker in a rematch from last week. He warned Hornswoggle not to get carried away with Queen Sharmell, pronouncing her the enemy. Montel Vontavious Porter arrived on the scene, telling he and Hornswoggle to get out of his way. Finlay got in MVP's face, who told him that if anybody deserved another WWE United States Championship shot, it was him. Porter told Finlay he wasn't even on his level, when suddenly Hornswoggle started humping MVP's leg, running 'the Franchise Playa' away.
- Kane was seen gearing up for tonight's number one contender's triple threat match. He looked at a monitor showing his brother, the Undertaker after he won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. 'The Big Red Monster' was using his fellow Brother of Destruction as motivation.
MATCH TWO // Jillian Hall def. Ashley in 2:23 after rolling Ashley up with her feet on the ropes. Prior to the match, an insert promo from Jillian aired voicing her annoyance in the Playboy covergirl Ashley getting a spot in Timbaland's music video over her. She sang like Britney Spears, terribly.
- Paul London and Brian Kendrick were seen disappointed by their loss of the WWE Tag Team Championships earlier tonight, angry over how Deuce 'n Domino took their titles. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long showed up, expressing how sad he was that their great reign as champions was over after 324 days. Long informed London and Kendrick that despite this, they would have an opportunity to start their reign all over again - he'd make sure of it.
- Chris Benoit was doing push-ups in the backstage area, looking down at the WWE United States Championship. 'The Rabid Wolverine' was getting rid of built up frustration brought on by MVP earlier tonight. Benoit was stopped when King Booker and Queen Sharmell showed up, Booker asking Benoit why he was willing to let a fool like Montel Vontavious Porter have another shot at his title. Booker reminded Benoit of their Best of Seven Series in 2005, and that if anybody deserved a shot at the title - because he was real royalty and would show the title much more respect than Benoit or MVP. Benoit stood up and told Booker that just because he was a man in a crown, doesn't make him royalty. Booker was outraged.
MATCH THREE // King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell) def. Finlay (w/Hornswoggle) in 12:32 after the Scissors Kick. MVP distracted Finlay leading to the conclusion. Curiously, Montel Vontavious Porter came out to ringside late in the match to try and help Booker win. WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit came out to even the odds. Prior to the interference, Hornswoggle kept stalking Sharmell at ringside, mesmerized by her. Sharmell was freaking out. After the match, Hornswoggle hit the ring and tried to fight Booker and Booker kicked him down. Benoit entered the ring to fight Booker, but MVP jumped Benoit. MVP and King Booker beat down on Benoit until Finlay made the save with his shillelagh. Benoit and Finlay stared each other down.
- SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was talking to Kristal backstage about SmackDown celebrating its milestone 400th episode next week in Milan, Italy. The two were quite close, but this stopped when Mr Kennedy stormed in. Kennedy complained about how unfair tonight's triple threat match was, that he should be number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship, and being in there against two giants in Batista and Kane shows how biased Long is. Long told Kennedy that he wanted it, and he got it. Unfortunately, both Kane and Batista have cases to make too. Kennedy told Long that he would pay dearly for this once Mr Kennedy is set to face the Undertaker at Backlash.
MATCH FOUR // Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero and Gregory Helms in 5:41 after the moonsault by Wang Yang on Helms. A rematch from last week, which was thrown out when Kane laid out Guerrero and Helms. Guerrero was angry as Wang Yang signalled that he wanted a shot at his WWE Cruiserweight Championship after the match.
- Deuce 'n Domino were with Cherry in their Cadillac backstage, celebrating their victory as new WWE Tag Team Champions. Domino humorously kept honking the horn. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long then came pacing up to the Cadillac, stating that this was SmackDown, not a parking lot. Long told Deuce 'n Domino that they cheated to win those titles tonight, and that Paul London and Brian Kendrick were cheated. Long announced that they would meet London and Kendrick the former champions next week when SmackDown comes to Italy.
- Montel Vontavious Porter was approached by King Booker and Queen Sharmell in the locker room, Booker thanking MVP for his help earlier tonight against Finlay, even though he had things under control. Booker then proposed that Porter would make a great knight for his royal hierarchy. 'The Franchise Playa' disagreed, telling him that he is MVP, the next WWE United States Champion. MVP said he heard Booker called him a fool earlier tonight, and Booker digressed, saying that MVP didn't deserve another shot at the title. The two exchanged more words, with Booker calling MVP more of a commoner than a knight. MVP took offense, calling himself a 'Franchise Playa'.
- Mike Mizanin made his grand SmackDown debut, Mizanin headed for the ring with two women on his arms. Mizanin proclaimed himself the Miz, 'the Chick Magnet'. Mizanin said that he had arrived on SmackDown and that he would no longer be as overlooked as he was the last time he was on SmackDown. He said that he was the host of SmackDown, and got no respect. He was undefeated until the Boogeyman came along and ended his streak. Mizanin said that he needs no more support. Thankfully, new World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy interrupted Mizanin to the delight of the crowd, Hardy hitting the ring and telling Mizanin that they've never met, but he would love for Mizanin to shut up. Mike called himself 'the Chick Magnet' again, and that Matt should go ahead and jump to RAW and be with his brother. He said he would make SmackDown his show. Hardy responded, laying him out with a Twist of Fate.
- Kristal interviewed 'The Animal' Batista. Kristal asked about tonight's triple threat number one contender's match, to which Batista made mention that he was driven. He said that his opponents, Kane and Mr Kennedy are driven by ulterior motives. Kennedy to be better than the people say he is; Kane to beat his brother to claim the World Heavyweight Championship. But his is better - he knows he can beat the Undertaker. He didn't get the job done at WrestleMania - but that he needs to win tonight to reclaim his World Heavyweight Championship.
MATCH FIVE // Number One Contender's - Triple Threat Match: Batista def. Kane & Mr Kennedy in 15:20 after the Batista Bomb on Kennedy. Kennedy attempted to hide outside of the ring and let Batista and Kane beat each other down early in the match. Kennedy continuously weaseled his way into pinfall attempts throughout. After the match, Batista celebrated his win but was interrupted by a gong. The new World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker made his way out to the aisleway, pointing at Batista, who he will meet once again at Backlash.

April 16, 2007 - Milan, Italy - DatchForum di Assago (12,700) "...To Be Loved" by Papa Roach Aired on the USA Network (3.7)
SHOW REPORT:
- Vince McMahon made his grand return to RAW after being absent last week, McMahon wearing his fedora hat. McMahon was greeted warmly as he asked how it felt for Monday Night RAW to be emanating from Italy for the first time ever. McMahon then turned on the Milan residents, complaining about the food, the culture, and the people. He then addressed Bobby Lashley humiliating him, making reference of his match tomorrow on ECW on Sci-Fi with Umaga, where both the ECW World Championship and the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line, saying that he would be punished - but it would begin before Umaga beats his ass tomorrow. ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley interrupted, Lashley saying that he was tired of McMahon and his goons attacking him, demanding a real challenge. McMahon told Bobby that ahead of his match with Umaga, he has several WWE Superstars that want to have their way with him, announcing that Lashley will run his gauntlet tonight.
- MATCH ONE // The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) def. Ric Flair and Carlito (w/Torrie Wilson) in 5:16 after the T-Bone suplex by Benjamin on Carlito. Haas knocked Torrie Wilson down with a misguided baseball slide, distracting Carlito. After the match, Carlito tried to attend to Torrie, but Flair told him that he had lost focus on the match. Carlito ignored him and took Torrie to the back.
- Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman was conducting business in his office when the Chairman Vince McMahon entered. McMahon cordially asked Coachman how business was doing, before asking sternly why Coachman had allowed Michael Pena to make John Cena against Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship at Backlash. McMahon said that he felt there were better options, but what Coachman did was he gave in to a kid. McMahon ordered Coachman to go out there and fix this situation - and to do it quick. Coach hesitantly agreed.
- Johnny Nitro hit the ring to talk about how he has been mistreated by everybody as of late. He proclaimed himself a former three-time WWE Tag Team Champion, a former two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and his girlfriend Melina is hotter than hell, and the current WWE Women's Champion. Nitro then began to talk trash about the Italian audience, then decided to announce an open challenge to any member of the audience in Milan tonight. Someone took Nitro up on the offer, and when asked revealed himself as Santino Marella. Nitro kicked Marella in the gut, kicking off the match.
MATCH TWO // Santino Marella def. Johnny Nitro in 4:06 after a roll-up. Marella made his WWE debut in this match. After the match, Nitro was shocked at Marella's victory, though Marella had slipped out of the ring. Nitro treated Santino like he was nothing, being overconfident in his offense.
- Randy Orton was backstage, suddenly confronted by Edge. The Rated RKO members were talking back and forth about whose fault it was that they lost the World Tag Team Championships last week to the Hardys. They both put the blame on the other, furthering their dissension that seemingly began before WrestleMania. They were interrupted by the new World Tag Team Champions the Hardys, Jeff and Matt Hardy commenting on how happy they seemed. Edge and Orton were on the defensive, when Orton suddenly declared that they wanted their titles back. Edge looked at Orton like he was nuts. The Hardys were willing to give them another shot at Backlash on April 29. Orton took the bait, but 'the Rated R Superstar' was not pleased with Orton.
- Carlito was shown with Torrie Wilson in the locker room, the second-generation Caribbean talking about how glad she is that she's okay after the bump from Charlie Haas earlier tonight. Ric Flair entered the room, 'the Nature Boy' apologizing for how he acted towards them earlier. Flair told Carlito that he got caught up in the moment, but that he just badly wanted to teach the World's Greatest Tag Team some respect. Carlito accepted the apology, telling him that they would, no problem.
- Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman made his way to the ring, coming to amend the already announced main event for Backlash between John Cena and Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship. The Coach agreed that Michael Pena last week made a big mistake in announcing that match, but Shawn Michaels hit the ring to interrupt. Michaels asked Coachman what he was trying to do, asking if he liked having his head atop his shoulders. HBK strongly advised he doesn't cancel this match, when Rated RKO interrupted. Edge and Randy Orton had now appeared to have placed the blame on Michaels, and came to the ring to threaten him. They suggested that John Cena defend against either of them, beginning an argument between the two over who deserves the match at Backlash more. The arguing persisted, until Michaels quipped about this being worse than when he fights with his wife. Edge and Orton attacked HBK until WWE Champion John Cena ran them off, leading Coachman to come up with a solution: a handicap match tonight with Cena taking on Rated RKO - and whichever member of Rated RKO pinned Cena would be added to the match at Backlash. Edge was enthused by the idea.
- In the locker room, Santino Marella was being congratulated on defeating Johnny Nitro in his WWE debut by Jim Duggan, Ron Simmons, Cryme Tyme and Viscera. Marella shook hands with each of them, before he left the room and came face to face with Johnny Nitro himself, disgusted at the fact that a normal, boring Italian man had managed to beat him. Nitro ordered Marella to show up in London, England next week, and face him one more time. Nitro promised that Marella would not walk out victorious again.
- WWE Champion John Cena was backstage after the confrontation in the ring, when Shawn Michaels caught up with him. The rivals had a staredown, with Michaels telling Cena that he needs to win tonight. Cena disputed this, telling Shawn that he would still be in the match whether he won or lost tonight. Cena said that of course he would win - not for Shawn's sake - because he lives to win, and that regardless of tonight, he will walk out on top at Backlash. Shawn told John that he didn't need his help out there, and that he wouldn't be victorious when they meet at Backlash.
MATCH THREE // Gauntlet Match: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Chris Masters in 3:37 after the Spear. Vince McMahon made his way out to the rampway where he remained, introducing Lashley's first of three opponents, Chris Masters. The Chairman stayed there to spectate throughout this match. Masters was unable to get the Masterlock applied on Lashley.
MATCH FOUR // Gauntlet Match: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. The Great Khali by disqualification in 0:53 after Khali choked Lashley in the ropes. Vince McMahon announced that the Great Khali would be Lashley's next opponent prior to the match. The Chairman remained on the rampway. After the disqualification, Khali continued to choke Lashley, before giving him the Tree Slam and leaving.
MATCH FIVE // Gauntlet Match: WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada) def. ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley in 2:41 after the Samoan Splash. Vince McMahon announced Lashley's final opponent prior to the match. Vince McMahon came down to ringside as Lashley tried to fight Umaga off but was too hurt from the matches with Chris Masters and the Great Khali. Umaga took Lashley's ECW World Championship and put it over his shoulder with the WWE Intercontinental Championship - motioning that this would be the result tomorrow on ECW on Sci-Fi.
- Edge was warming up for the upcoming main event when Randy Orton came in. 'The Legend Killer' told Edge that he knows he wants the WWE Championship, but that he needs to understand that Orton needs it more than he does. 'The Rated R Superstar' disagreed, causing another argument. Orton told Edge that this is the kind of dissension that will cost them tonight, and they'll have to challenge the Hardys instead for the World Tag Team Championships. Edge angrily told Orton that he didn't want it. Orton told Edge that some people hate to admit defeat and be the best. Orton told Edge that he was not one of those people, leaving the room.
- Italian fashion designer Paolo Marilla came to the ring to address the Milan crowd in their native language, revealing that he will be the emcee for the upcoming Divas Fashion contest. One by one, he introduced Maria, Victoria, Mickie James, Candice Michelle, and the WWE Women's Champion Melina, all wearing unique, Italian styled clothing. Marilla allowed the audience reaction to determine who was the winner of this contest, which was revealed to be Candice Michelle. Melina was outraged, the WWE Women's Champion grabbing the microphone with vigor and talking about how all of these pretty women keep overshadowing her but that she is the champ, and that she is the real 'Paparazzi Princess' in the WWE. She then took Candice down, but the other Divas restrained Melina, forcing her out of the ring. Once there, Candice took the microphone, saying that she was more than a pretty face, and that she wanted Melina one on one for the WWE Women's Championship at Backlash. Melina was surpised, scowling and leaving the Divas in the ring.
MATCH SIX // World Tag Team Champions The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) def. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in 2:51 after the Swanton Bomb on Cade. Matt hit a Twist of Fate prior to the finish.
- Backstage, the Great Khali was shown on a tear through the locker room, brain chopping Val Venis and sending him down to the floor. The 'Punjabian Giant' caught a charging Super Crazy by the head and tossed him into the wall, before Eugene found himself the recipient of a big boot. Khali has been on a tear of the RAW locker room for weeks now, constantly in a bad mood after losing at WrestleMania. But why?
- Ric Flair was seen laid out and surrounded by officials, busted wipe open in a corridor. 'The Nature Boy' was hurting, when Carlito and Torrie Wilson showed up completely shocked at what had happened to the sixteen-time World Champion. Carlito and the referees attended to Flair, whilst Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler speculated that the Great Khali had assaulted Flair in his blind rage.
MATCH SEVEN // Handicap Match - If Rated RKO win, the Superstar to score the fall would be added to the WWE Championship match at Backlash: WWE Champion John Cena def. Rated RKO (Edge and Randy Orton) by disqualification in 11:27 after Shawn Michaels superkicked Cena. Orton was setting up for the RKO when Michaels gave Cena the Sweet Chin Music, ensuring that neither Edge nor Orton would be added to the match at Backlash. Michaels gave Orton a Sweet Chin Music afterwards, allowing Edge to swoop it with a Spear for HBK. World Tag Team Champions The Hardys hit the ring, Jeff and Matt Hardy scaring Edge away whilst Orton rolled out to the floor. The Hardys helped Cena and Michaels up, but the two men started fighting it out, needing to be restrained by the Hardys and several officials. Cena and Michaels had a lot of bad blood sure to come to a head at Backlash - RAW going off the air.
OTHER NOTES:
- It was announced that Johnny Nitro would meet the Italian fan that beat him tonight, Santino Marella next week on RAW from London, England.
- Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler introduced the Italian announce team Michael Posa and Luca Franchini at two points during the broadcast, the latter of which to run down the current card for Backlash.

SHOW REPORT:
MATCH ONE // The New Breed (Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von) def. The ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman) in 6:38 after the Pounce by Cor Von on Sandman. CM Punk was shown watching the match backstage on a monitor, shaking his head. The Sandman missed Striker with the Singapore cane, leading to the finish.
- Rebecca approached CM Punk in the locker room after the match, asking 'the Straight Edge Superstar' about his thoughts on the ensuing ECW Originals and New Breed rivalry, and attempts to reach out to him. Punk called it pathetic, and that he would much rather be focusing his attention on the ECW World Championship picture. Instead, he's set to team with Sabu to take on Elijah Burke and Kevin Thorn tonight. Punk told Rebecca that he wanted nothing to do with this, and that he was his own man.
- WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga was shown getting pumped up for his winner takes all match with Bobby Lashley. Armando Alejandro Estrada was motivating Umaga, saying that after everything they've done to Lashley in recent weeks, the ECW World Championship would be coming to him. Umaga let out a war cry and headbutted a wall, putting a dint into it.
MATCH TWO // Snitsky def. Hardcore Holly in 1:43 after the big boot. Snitsky attacked Holly before the match and dominated a large portion of the match. After the match, Snitsky picked up the steel steps from ringside, and ran them into Holly's shoulder. Holly needed medical attention afterwards.
- ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley once again had bad ribs, shown aching in pain from last night's gauntlet he was put through by Vince McMahon. Lashley was approached by Rebecca, who wanted to know what Lashley's thoughts were heading into the main event match for all of the gold. Lashley simply told Rebecca that pain and suffering were his thoughts, because it's what he felt. But that Umaga would be the one feeling the pain and the suffering after tonight.
MATCH THREE // The New Breed (Elijah Burke and Kevin Thorn) (w/Ariel) def. Sabu and CM Punk in 5:08 after the crucifix powerbomb by Thorn on Sabu. CM Punk turned on Sabu when he tried to make the tag to him. Punk watched from ringside as Sabu tried to fight off the New Breed. Sabu kicked out of the Elijah Express, which led to the finish. The ECW Originals hit the ring causing the New Breed to bail, aiding to Sabu. Elijah Burke tried to high five Punk, but instead Punk walked out on them, staying neutral.
- The Extreme Exposé were dancing in the aisleway; Kelly Kelly, Brooke and Layla seductively enticing the Milan crowd - when the theme of Little Guido interrupted them. Confused, the trio looked on as Little Guido came out to his part-hometown crowd, before he began dancing in delight. The Milan crowd enjoyed it, but it caused the Extreme Exposé to leave, disgusted by Guido's dance moves.
- Backstage, CM Punk was calming down after the match earlier, where he appeared to betray Sabu, but chose against siding with the New Breed. Sabu confronted him and attempted to fight 'the Straight Edge Superstar', who looked on bemused. Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman held Sabu back, whilst Rob Van Dam confronted Punk himself. He told Punk that he thought him and Punk were alike, they're both awesome in the ring. But now, he doesn't know who he is. Punk told Van Dam to put this in his pipe and smoke it, because he knows Van Dam likes to do that - he is not an ECW Original nor a member of the New Breed. Punk walked away, leaving Sabu seething.
MATCH FOUR // ECW World Championship - WWE Intercontinental Championship: Bobby Lashley (ECW) def. Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada) (IC) by disqualification in 8:57 after Vince McMahon hit Lashley in the head with a steel chair. Lashley had hit Umaga with a Spear prior to the finish. Despite winning, championships can't change hands on a disqualification. Umaga was Speared off the apron through a table during this match. Umaga worked over Lashley's ribs during the match, though Lashley did manage to kick out from a Samoan Spike. After the match, Shane McMahon arrived as the McMahons and Umaga beat Lashley down. April 20, 2007 - Milan, Italy - DatchForum di Assago (12,700) "Rise Up 2006" by Drowning Pool Broadcast on The CW (2.4)
SHOW REPORT:
- The World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker kicked off the milestone 400th episode of SmackDown, melodically walking to the ring to address the Italian fans for the first time since winning the World title back at WrestleMania. The Undertaker said that Batista was a warrior like little other man he has faced throughout his seventeen year career. 'The Phenom' talked about how they went to Hell and back at WrestleMania, and now as last week has proven, they will dance with the Devil again at Backlash. 'The Deadman' said that he would come out on top once again, but was interrupted by none other than his brother Kane, who told Undertaker that when he was done with Batista, that he wanted a shot. The Brothers of Destruction discussed their love-hate relationship, but that if 'the Big Red Monster' wanted a fight, then they should do it tonight. The Brothers of Destruction stared each other down, set to compete in the main event.
- SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was dancing in a room crowded with personnel and various SmackDown Superstars such as Funaki, Scotty 2 Hotty, Jamie Noble, Michelle McCool and Jimmy Wang Yang. Kristal entered and congratulated the SmackDown General Manager on making it to episode 400 of SmackDown. Long talked about how great Italy was proving to be for this landmark show, when WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero and Gregory Helms waltzed in. Chavo insulted the party, and said that their prize champion wasn't even booked on the show tonight. Long swiftly announced that he has exactly the thing - tonight Chavo would defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and his opponent...is yet to be named. Chavo laughed it off, he and Helms leaving happy. Scotty and Wang Yang asked Long who it was. Long told them that they'd get their shot - but he had somebody else in mind for tonight.
MATCH ONE // World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy def. Mike Mizanin (w/The Girls) in 5:16 after the Twist of Fate. Mizanin repeatedly tried to bail from the ring, and even used one of his girls as a human shield at one point. After the match, Mizanin's Girls left without him.
- King Booker and Queen Sharmell were shown in the locker room, when Montel Vontavious Porter walked in. MVP commented that he didn't know why they were set to be a tag team tonight against Chris Benoit and Finlay, but that Booker had better leave Benoit to him. Booker agreed, saying that MVP was a mere commoner, and did not deserve to share the ring with true royalty like himself. Booker told Porter that he was nothing compared to the King. Porter told Booker that he walks around like royalty but he looks like the Burger King. MVP told Booker to stay out of his way tonight, and then they'd get along just fine. Booker looked irked.
- Paul London and Brian Kendrick, the former WWE Tag Team Champions were standing by with Kristal, who asked London and Kendrick what their strategy was in tonight's rematch from last week against Deuce 'n Domino. London and Kendrick joked that they wouldn't let Cherry get in their way, and that there would be no lead pipes involved tonight. They said that they were WWE Tag Team Champions for 327 days, and that tomorrow would begin a whole new reign.
MATCH TWO // WWE Tag Team Championship: Deuce 'n Domino (c) (w/Cherry) (c) def. Paul London and Brian Kendrick in 12:23 after a Domino nailed Kendrick with the lead pipe. The match initially ended at 12:07 with London hitting the London Calling on Domino, but Domino's foot was on the ropes. London and Kendrick celebrated with their WWE Tag Team Championships while the referee restarted the match, allowing Domino to take the lead pipe from Cherry behind the referee's back. London and Kendrick were enraged after the match.
- Finlay was walking through the hallways with his shillelagh in hand until he came face to face with WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit. 'The Rabid Wolverine' told Finlay that he knows they are partners tonight against King Booker and Montel Vontavious Porter, but warned 'the Fighting Irishman' not to try anything funny. Finlay said on the contrary, he knows he could kick his arse fair and square, face to face. Benoit told Finlay that if he wants the title, he would take him on - but first, they get tonight out of the way.
- Back at the party, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was seen talking with a referee when 'the Animal' Batista arrived. He congratulated Long on his leadership of SmackDown and the 400th episode. He complimented him for letting him hang out in Milan, Italy too. Batista then asked Long about the match tonight between the Undertaker and Kane. Long told Batista that it would be great, just to see two brothers battling it out, Goliath against Goliath - just like Undertaker against Batista at Backlash for the World Heavyweight Championship. Batista was about to ask Teddy if he could talk to him about the match in nine days...
MATCH THREE // King Booker and Montel Vontavious Porter (w/Queen Sharmell) def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Chris Benoit and Finlay in 10:12 after Booker rolled up Benoit with the tights. Booker and MVP showed dissension and argued at times during this match. Sharmell distracted the referee at one point, which led to Hornswoggle pulling on Sharmell's ankle, chasing her up the aisle and to the back. After the match, MVP and Booker began having a shoving contest, until Benoit and Finlay began fighting both men. Benoit and Finlay tossed them both from the ring, then engaged in a staredown, with Finlay looking at challenging for the WWE United States Championship very soon.
- Mr Kennedy was shown walking around the hallways backstage, looking miserable after being unsuccessful in last week's triple threat number one contender's match. Kennedy suddenly ran into Shannon Moore, who Kennedy snapped on. Kennedy talked about how he was above him, that he should be going to face the Undertaker at Backlash and not dealing with punks like him, who's never had a taste of gold in his life. Moore slapped Kennedy, shocking him. Moore told Kennedy that he wasn't about to take crap from him of all people, holding the little man down. Moore challenged Kennedy to a match tonight, barging past him for extra effect.
MATCH FOUR // WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Chavo Guerrero (w/Gregory Helms) (c) def. Little Guido in 5:18 after the Gory Bomb. Helms distracted the referee after a Sicilian Slice, allowing Chavo to low blow Guido before the finish. Guido was a strong favorite coming off of his return to Italy - the same site he won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship for the first time in November 2005.
- Kane was shown in a dark room getting pumped up and ready to fight his brother the Undertaker tonight. 'The Big Red Machine' looked at the same photo of 'the Phenom' holding the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania that he looked at last week, and commented that after tonight, he will be going for that precious, precious title.
MATCH FIVE // Mr Kennedy def. Shannon Moore in 5:02 after the Mic Check. Kennedy spoke into the microphone during his own pre-match introduction, stating that nothing would stop him from getting what he really wanted, the World Heavyweight Champion. Suitably, in his post-match announcement of his own win, he pronounced himself the next number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship.
- At the party, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was hugging Kristal, visibly very happy with how things had turned out in this 400th episode of SmackDown. In walked Mike Mizanin, who looked very disappointed after losing his first match back on SmackDown to Matt Hardy earlier tonight. Mizanin said that he lost his girls, and an old man like Teddy Long had one. Mizanin was disgusted by him, but Long warned Mizanin who he was talking to. Mizanin continued to whine and complain about how his girls had left, when suddenly the room turned red, and the Boogeyman crept up from behind him, scaring Mizanin out of his skin! Boogeyman recited a nursery rhyme to Long and Kristal and then left, deeply disturbing Long and Kristal.
MATCH SIX // World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker def. Kane in 9:34 after the Tombstone Piledriver. Mr Kennedy hit the ring and wound up being grabbed by the throat by Kane for a Chokeslam, leading to the finish. Mr Kennedy re-entered the ring with a chair, struck the Undertaker in the spine, just for 'the Deadman' to turn around, causing Kennedy to run. The Undertaker was bowing with the World Heavyweight Championship when Batista came out to the rampway. 'The Animal' informed Undertaker that he is the man, and he has come to admit it. But that it wouldn't last long - they are warriors, like he said - but that their match at Backlash would become more than a ride to Hell and back: it would now be a Last Man Standing match. Batista told Undertaker that he wouldn't be resting in peace in nine days - Undertaker would be. The two stared each other down as SmackDown went off the air.

April 23, 2007 - London, England - Earl's Court (12,000) "...To Be Loved" by Papa Roach Aired on the USA Network (3.7)
SHOW REPORT:
- WWE Champion John Cena kicked off RAW from London, where he was virtually universally hated by the sold out Earl's Court. Cena began to talk ahead regarding his WrestleMania rematch this Sunday at Backlash, and how they had such a hard fought classic match at WrestleMania - but ultimately, Cena was the better man. Shawn Michaels interrupted, HBK coming to stare down Cena and tell his Backlash rival that he was the better man at WrestleMania, and that he would also become the WWE Champion in six nights at Backlash. The two were interrupted by Edge, who claimed that he was cheated out of the handicap match by Michaels superkicking Cena last week. Edge talked up his Rated RKO partner Randy Orton not even bothering to show his face tonight six days from their World Tag Team Championship match with the Hardys, and that Jonathan Coachman should cancel that match and put him in the triple threat match. Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman came out and refused to cancel the Hardys' title defense with Rated RKO, but agreed with Edge, ultimately giving him a shot at the WWE Championship tonight in London. Michaels was mad, going after Coachman.
- Ric Flair was seen backstage when he was approached by Carlito and Torrie Wilson, the Caribbean asking if Flair was okay after being assaulted last week in Italy. 'The Nature Boy' contended that he was, but that he didn't know who jumped him from behind. Carlito was sure that it was the Great Khali, and so he had Jonathan Coachman make the match for tonight, but Flair was reluctant. He asked Carlito if he really wanted to face the Great Khali, and that 'the Punjabian Giant' may kill him. Carlito told Flair to have a little faith, angry that he was underestimating his abilities. Carlito told Flair that he would do this for him, because that's what's cool.
MATCH ONE // Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch def. Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard and JTG) in 3:07 after Murdoch rolled JTG up with the tights. Prior to the match, Cade and Murdoch were disrespecting the English culture, before they were interrupted by Cryme Tyme. Shad and JTG were popular, telling the rednecks to take their asses back to the States, saying they liked to drink pints.
- Johnny Nitro was with WWE Women's Champion Melina, as the two discussed their separate ongoing problems with Santino Marella and Candice Michelle. Nitro said that Santino was just an Italian loser, and that Candice Michelle was nothing more than a pretty face. Melina appeared upset by her boyfriend, but agreed that Candice was nothing, and that she would prove that at Backlash.
- Shawn Michaels confronted Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman about making John Cena defend the WWE Championship against Edge. Coach called Michaels obsessive, to which HBK threatened to kick his teeth down his throat. Michaels said that he knows he can't stop the match from happening tonight - but if Edge wins and he doesn't get to face and beat Cena at Backlash, Coachman would suffer for it. Coach appeared fearful of Michaels. MATCH TWO // Santino Marella def. Johnny Nitro in 3:46 after the backslide. Before the match Nitro spoke negatively about the London crowd and discussed Santino as being a stepping stone to him that pulled off the upset of the century against him last week. Marella interrupted and told Nitro that he had officially signed a contract and was now a RAW Superstar. Santino, speaking with a strong Italian accent told Morrison that his fist would meet his face. After the match, Nitro attacked Marella from behind, laying him out with a corkscrew neckbreaker.
- Candice Michelle and Mickie James were seen talking backstage about their upcoming tag team match with Melina and Victoria. Mickie asked Candice how she was feeling about her big WWE Women's Championship opportunity at Backlash. Candice confessed that she had been waiting for this shot for so long, that she is tired of being called just a Diva that is sexy and not tough. She said that Melina was once that girl - but now, it's her turn, and that it's her turn to become WWE Women's Champion.
MATCH THREE // WWE Women's Champion Melina and Victoria def. Candice Michelle and Mickie James in 4:25 after the roll-up by Melina on Candice. Mickie got a split lip during the match. After the match, Melina jumped Candice again and beat down on her, telling Candice that she could never be as good as her, nor that she could beat her at Backlash.
- Edge was backstage being interviewed by Todd Grisham ahead of his WWE Championship opportunity against John Cena tonight. 'The Rated R Superstar' said that he was sick and tired of Randy Orton deciding to show up whenever it pleased him. Edge said that he didn't even want the World Tag Team Championship match with the Hardys at Backlash. Edge then said that it was a nonfactor anyway, because he was taking the WWE Championship tonight for himself. The Hardys showed up to wish Edge luck. Edge warned Jeff Hardy not to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase tonight. Jeff told him that would be ironic. Matt Hardy asked Edge if he was a coward like Orton, egging Edge on. Edge was getting mad, and told the Hardys that maybe he would become a double champion on Sunday, walking away.
- Chairman Vince McMahon, his son Shane McMahon, WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada made their way to the ring, the consortium addressing Bobby Lashley, who wasn't here tonight - most likely because of the great shame that fell upon Lashley last Tuesday on ECW on Sci-Fi. They discussed their three-on-one handicap match with Lashley, telling him that he shouldn't have crossed the boss, and that there was no chance in hell of Lashley walking out of Sunday with the ECW World Championship. Shane made mention of Jose Mourinho, manager of the Chelsea football club in the front row, and was content with the idea of becoming ECW Champion, which raised questions from McMahon, and a glare from Umaga. Vince broke the tension, declaring that they need a warm up for Backlash this Sunday, which was when they announced that the three of them would compete in a handicap match tonight against Robbie Brookside, who McMahon touted as England's best wrestler. Brookside came out, when the Chairman announced that this match would start right now.
MATCH FOUR // The McMahons (Vince and Shane McMahon) and WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada) def. Robbie Brookside in 1:19 after Vince pinned Brookside after a Samoan Spike. Brookside was destroyed by Umaga, with Shane getting in some attacks on Brookside. Robbie got one punch in on Shane before Umaga destroyed him for the finish. Vince McMahon bombastically mocked the London crowd after the match, signalling that he would be the ECW World Champion on Sunday.
- WWE Champion John Cena was preparing for the main event against Edge, when he was approached by Maria. Maria asked Cena about the idea of this match with longtime rival Edge tonight, just six days before he faces Shawn Michaels again. Cena told Maria that 'the Rated R Superstar' sure are rivals, but that he will never say no to a fight, even if it means putting his title on the line. He said how Shawn had become obsessed, and that he is sure that HBK will give it his all at Backlash - but tonight, he puts an end to this story with Edge.
MATCH FIVE // The Great Khali def. Carlito (w/Torrie Wilson) by disqualification in 2:01 after Ric Flair attacked Khali with a steel chair. Khali dominated Carlito, despite his aggressive offense. 'The Punjabi Giant' was about to put Carlito away with the Tree Slam until Flair hit the ring and attacked Khali with a steel chair. After the match, Khali punched the chair out of Flair's hand and went for 'the Nature Boy', just to get hit with the chair from Carlito repeatedly. Carlito and Flair bailed, leaving Khali on his feet looking angrier than ever, in the ring. The World's Greatest Tag Team were shown laughing at Carlito and Flair's stupidity, causing Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler to speculate on whether they had attacked Flair last week in Italy.
- The Chairman Vince McMahon was in Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman's office with Shane McMahon, Armando Alejandro Estrada and WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga. Vince and Shane were more than happy with their performance tonight against Robbie Brookside. Vince then proposed that maybe Bobby Lashley will need a warm up for the handicap match on Sunday, announcing that the ECW World Champion would face three Superstars of his choosing tomorrow on ECW on Sci-Fi.
MATCH SIX // WWE Championship: John Cena (c) def. Edge in 17:23 after a second FU. A hard-fought main event where Edge tried to cheat repeatedly during the match. It was made clear that if Edge won the WWE Championship, that Cena would still face Shawn Michaels at Backlash, and that Edge would still team with Randy Orton to face the Hardys for the World Tag Team Championship. Shawn Michaels was on commentary with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler during the match, and appeared concerned when Cena appeared to be in trouble. Michaels said that he wasn't obsessed, just driven to become WWE Champion and prove that he was superior to Cena. After the match, Michaels and Cena faced off with Cena holding the WWE Championship high.
OTHER NOTES:
- It was announced that Edge would make a special appearance taking on Matt Hardy this Friday night on SmackDown.
- Randy Orton was scheduled to face Jeff Hardy tonight, but "didn't feel like showing up in London". In reality, Orton was sent home after a show in Austria, with WWE officials complaining about Orton's behavior. Orton trashed his hotel room after being told he was being sent home.
- Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler ran down the card for Backlash this Sunday night.
- A video package aired, highlighting the history of John Cena and Shawn Michaels' competitive rivalry, dating back to after the Royal Rumble. They had a classic in the main event of WrestleMania, but will go at it again this Sunday at Backlash.
- A video package aired, taking a look at "the Condemned" starring Steve Austin, including comments from fans about what they thought of the film.

April 24, 2007 - London, England - Earl's Court (12,000) "This Is The New Sh*t" by Marilyn Manson Aired on the Sci-Fi Network (1.5)
SHOW REPORT:
- ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley kicked off ECW emanating from London, England. Lashley, five days from a three-on-one handicap match with the McMahons and Umaga alluded to Vince McMahon's comments last night on RAW and said that he would not give in to the McMahon Dynasty, and that he will come out on top at Backlash. Vince McMahon interrupted wearing his fedora, the Chairman asking Lashley if he liked that title, and whether he had kissed it goodbye yet. Lashley joked that he couldn't wait to expose Vince's big, bald head again this Sunday. The Chairman noted that in the interest of fairness, because the McMahons and Umaga had a warm-up for Sunday's handicap match last night beating Robbie Brookside - Lashley too would have a warm up handicap match tonight. He introduced Lashley's opponents: Chris Masters, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. Lashley told them to bring it on, this match getting underway quickly.
MATCH ONE // ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Chris Masters, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in a three-on-one handicap match in 6:28 after the Dominator by Lashley on Cade. Vince McMahon stuck around to watch from the aisleway. Masters, Cade and Murdoch worked effectively at picking apart at Lashley during the match. Lashley stared down McMahon after the match, who decided that their Backlash handicap match for the ECW World Championship needed something extra - making it an Extreme Rules match as well.
- The New Breed were shown talking about CM Punk and how he may not have come to his senses yet, but that 'the Straight Edge Superstar' truly is one of them. Elijah Burke was for the idea, whereas Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn and Ariel remained hesitant. Striker then got a phone call and left the room to answer his phone. He walked out of the room, barging into Balls Mahoney, who he told to watch his business. Balls took Striker's phone and tossed it at the wall, telling Striker that he's tired of answering to 'The Teacher'. He said that he is an ECW Original through and through, and that he wanted Striker tonight! Striker was hesitant, whilst Balls repeatedly demanded he meet him in the ring later tonight.
- Backstage, CM Punk was seen warming up for his match later tonight against Sabu when Rob Van Dam, the Sandman and Tommy Dreamer showed up. The ECW Originals were confronting Punk about his connection to the New Breed made last week, when he walked out on Sabu. Van Dam reiterated that he could smell a liar from a mile away, to which Punk told Van Dam that he could smell the pot on Van Dam from a mile away. 'The Straight Edge Superstar' told the Originals once again that he had no ties, no connections - and tonight was just about settling his business with their pal, Sabu.
- Extreme Exposé were dancing in the ring to a positive reaction from the British fans. Kelly Kelly, Layla and Brooke danced, but were interrupted by Little Guido again, much like last week. Guido ran to the ring and began to dance, yet again grossing out the Extreme Exposé trio, until Snitsky's theme hit. The man that took Hardcore Holly out of action last week stomped to the ring, scaring the Vixens away. Guido tried to put up a fight against Snitsky, who instead dismantled him and left him down and out after a big boot to the face. Snitsky snarled and showed his gross, yellow teeth to the Extreme Exposé, creeping them out and away from the ring.
- Sabu was seen warming up in his own unique way, walking through the backstage halls, smashing his head off of a locker door. 'The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death Defying' Sabu would get his chance to get even with CM Punk later tonight. He passed Vince McMahon, who looked positively weirded out by him. The Chairman pondered what ECW would be like if he were to win the ECW World Championship this Sunday night - that ECW would become his personal playground.
- MATCH TWO // Balls Mahoney def. Matt Striker (w/Kevin Thorn and Ariel) in 3:21 after Ball Breaker. Mahoney tried to use his chair at one point, but the referee took it away, allowing Striker to gain momentum. Kevin Thorn and Ariel tried to interfere, resulting in Balls retrieving his chair and laying Thorn out with it near the end of the match. Mahoney got his chair to further attack Striker after the match, but he bailed quickly.
- The Chairman Vince McMahon was about to step into his limousine in the parking lot of Earl's Court, Vince commenting on what a crap hole ECW was, although that may be because they are in London. He stepped inside, but when the limousine was about to drive away, his rear tires went through spikes, putting McMahon's departure on hold! McMahon stepped out of his limousine and cursing Bobby Lashley!
- A vignette aired, previewing the return of La Résistance, with Sylvain Grenier snootily introducing Robert Conway. The Frenchmen are coming back to ECW soon.
MATCH THREE // CM Punk vs Sabu went to a no contest in 10:21 after members of the New Breed interfered to attack Sabu, when members of the ECW Originals, including Balls Mahoney ran out to brawl with the New Breed. Punk worked over Sabu during a large section of this match. At one point Sabu charged the ropes, jumped on top of a seated steel chair, then hit a springboard plancha onto Punk on the floor. After the match, the New Breed were getting the better of Sabu, when Punk got up and hit Sabu with the Go To Sleep. Punk then shook hands with Elijah Burke, aligning himself with the New Breed. Rob Van Dam watching from the aisleway told Punk that he expected this, when he declared that now it seems that there are five of the Originals, and five of the New Breed - challenging them to a ten-man tag team match this Sunday at Backlash. Burke laughed it off, but Punk snatched the microphone away and accepted the challenge. Burke seemed mad, but a ten-man tag team bout had been set for Backlash between the Originals and the New Breed.
OTHER NOTES:
- Joey Styles and Tazz ran down the card for Backlash this Sunday night.
- A video package took a look at "The Condemned" starring Steve Austin, with comments from fans and WWE Superstars and Divas about what they thought about the movie.
- Included an advertisement for WWE Backlash, live on pay-per-view on April 29, 2007.

April 27, 2007 - London, England - Earl's Court (12,000) "Rise Up 2006" by Drowning Pool Broadcast on The CW (2.6)
SHOW REPORT:
MATCH ONE // Edge def. World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy in 10:33 after the Spear. Prior to the match, Edge made his way to the ring talking about how he was cheated out of the WWE Championship on RAW in this same terrible building, and now he's on a terrible show, SmackDown - which has apparently needed 'the Rated R Superstar' to save it for quite some time. Edge spoke negatively of his partner Randy Orton, but said that Rated RKO would beat the Hardys for World Tag Team Championships at Backlash. Matt Hardy interrupted, no Jeff in sight. Mike Mizanin's theme hit, distracting Hardy, leading to the finish.
- SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long said that Mike Mizanin was a real pain in the ass, getting involved in that interpromotional match between Edge and Matt Hardy moments ago. WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce 'n Domino waltzed in with Cherry with them. The two beatniks asked Long why he called them here. Long told them that he was ashamed to call them SmackDown's WWE Tag Team Champions, and that they narrowly avoided losing the titles to Paul London and Brian Kendrick last week - but if he was the referee, he would have crowned London and Kendrick as the champions. Deuce began to imply threatening Long, who recommended he didn't or risk being stripped of the titles. He said that they had a match tonight, but when pressed for questions, Long told them to go out there and find out for themselves.
- World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker made his presence felt, 'the Deadman' slowly walking to the ring in the midst of London in darkness. He grabbed a microphone, but just before beginning to talk, Mr Kennedy interrupted. Ever the loud mouth, Kennedy wisely had a microphone of his own and stayed away from Undertaker in the ring. Kennedy expressed his annoyance in not being the number one contender, but that he wanted 'the Phenom' to know that he was coming for his World Heavyweight Champion. Pronouncing himself the future of SmackDown, Kennedy came down to the ring and told Undertaker that he wasn't afraid of him, when Kane's pyrotechnics hit, bringing out 'the Big Red Machine'. Kane was hot at Kennedy, who tried to run, but Undertaker grabbed Kennedy by the throat. 'Taker tossed Kennedy to his brother, but Kennedy slipped out of his Chokeslam attempt and bailed to the floor. The Brothers of Destruction had their main event match last week in Italy ruined by Kennedy, and glared at Kennedy scurrying up the aisleway. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long interrupted, announcing a tag team main event tonight: the Brothers of Destruction taking on Mr Kennedy...and Batista! How could those two get along?
MATCH TWO // WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce 'n Domino (w/Cherry) def. William Regal and Dave Taylor in 7:02 after the Crack 'Em in the Mouth on Taylor. It turned out that Regal and Taylor were going to go after Deuce 'n Domino, and were actually very popular with their native country crowd in London tonight. After the match Paul London and Brian Kendrick came out to the aisleway to watch the WWE Tag Team Champions celebrating from afar. They decided to steal their Cadillac, driving away leaving Deuce, Domino and Cherry stranded in Earl's Court and highly irritated.
- Finlay was seen warming up for his shot at the WWE United States Championship tonight against Chris Benoit, when he was confronted by Montel Vontavious Porter. MVP was annoyed at the fact that Finlay had acquired a title shot, when he should be the one to challenge for it. 'The Fighting Irishman' commented that even King Booker was more worthy of a shot at the title than MVP, drawing his annoyance. Porter insulted Finlay's heritage, his appearance, but when he went to insult Hornswoggle, Hornswoggle ran up to him, and stamped on Porter's foot! Finlay laughed, leaving with his Little Bastard friend.
- Ashley was seen talking to Michelle McCool in the hallway, when Jillian Hall came up singing a Britney Spears song. Jillian acted obnoxious and commented that Ashley doesn't deserve the fame she gets. Jillian said that all of Ashley's fame should be hers, because she has something Ashley does not: talent. Jillian said that over here, Ashley would be nothing more than a Page 3 "slapper". Ashley smirked, then asked Jillian if she wanted to settle this in the ring. Jillian said that she would be more than happy than to pin her for the win. Ashley joked, then said she was serious - but if they were to compete, this would be a bra and panties match. Jillian appeared grossed out, saying the London fans didn't deserve to see her in her underwear. Michelle then offered to help officiate, which Ashley got excited about. Jillian disappeared, when Ashley told Jillian that she'd see her later tonight.
MATCH THREE // WWE United States Championship: Chris Benoit (c) def. Finlay by disqualification in 16:18 after Montel Vontavious Porter jumped Benoit. The British fans were highly supportive of Finlay, which made this match very even in terms of reactions. Hornswoggle tried to interfere at one point, but Finlay held him back, wanting to win this on his own. Benoit had the Crossface applied when MVP ran in and attacked him. After the match, Porter laid Benoit out with the Playmaker, just to get hit with Finlay's shillelagh. King Booker then came out with Queen Sharmell, when Booker spoke of being above this mayhem before him. Booker said that he wouldn't resort to their levels, but that he declared civil war to capture the WWE United States Championship one more time. Hornswoggle saw Sharmell and fainted, love hearts in his eyes. Finlay was extremely confused by Booker's behavior.
- Batista was seen in the locker room, getting ready for the main event. Mr Kennedy walked up, prompting a big face off between 'the Animal' and the loudmouth. Kennedy told Batista that this was unfair, that he is in a match teaming with someone he hated, against the Undertaker and Kane - who both want to kill him. Batista told Kennedy that he felt the same way. Batista told Kennedy that for all he cares, Kennedy could just fight the whole match for himself - but that's not what he wants to do. Batista told Kennedy that he wanted the Undertaker, and as much as he despises the man before him - he doesn't want to wait until Backlash in the Last Man Standing match to face 'the Phenom'. Batista then threatened to rip Kennedy's arms off if he even dared to try attack him tonight.
- Kristal approached SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long in his office, Kristal telling Long that she wishes that he could spend more time with her. Long confessed the same, the two kissing, and Long told Kristal that after Backlash, he would try to get some time off so that the two of them could do just that. All of a sudden, 'the Big Red Monster' charged into the room, Kane ruining the romantic moment between Teddy and Kristal. Kristal left fearful, whilst Long asked Kane what he wanted. He said that he wanted Mr Kennedy, that he ruined his chances of beating his brother the Undertaker last week. Long asked if tonight wasn't good enough, to which Kane said no. Kane said that he may appear to get along with the Undertaker - but he has something he wants, and that's the World Heavyweight Championship. Long decided to come up with something to amend this - a match between Kane and Mr Kennedy at Backlash this Sunday - and the winner would become the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. Kane seemed satisfied enough. Long looked overworked.
MATCH FOUR // Ashley def. Jillian Hall in a bra and panties match in 4:13 after Ashley rolled Hall up and ripped off her bottoms. Michelle McCool was the special guest referee. Jillian was humiliated by her loss and loss of clothes after the match and extremely hesitant about even being in this match. Ashley and Michelle took great delight in stripping down to their bra and panties after the match for the London crowd.
- World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker finally got to speak some words to the British fans in a dark, misty room. 'The Phenom' declared that for Batista, tonight was a taste of things to come. He said that although 'the Animal' is a warrior like not many he has faced before, that Sunday at Backlash would be his resting place. The Undertaker said that he would be the Last Man Standing.
MATCH FIVE // The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane) def. Batista and Mr Kennedy in 18:29 after the Chokeslam by Kane on Kennedy. Kennedy kept blindtagging himself in. Batista eventually returned the favor when the Undertaker came in at one point. The London crowd loved seeing 'the Phenom' and 'the Animal' going at it. Batista hit a spinebuster on Kane, but Kennedy broke it up and began arguing with Batista. It led to Batista giving Kennedy a Batista Bomb, which led to the finish. After the match, the Undertaker and Batista had a staredown, with Undertaker motioning the slit-throat.
