I'll say that Strowman has shown a lot more promise than want I expected when he first debuted. However, his current popularity is solely dependent on his feud with Roman Reigns. Once Dat Dude goes over and Braun goes back to taking down jobbers on a weekly basis, cheers will die down.
Unless your name is Brock Lesnar, Vince McMahon sees no value in big monster heels other than putting over his super faces. Even with all his bravado, Strowman has shown a tendency to back down when presented a serious challenge from a big name; Lesnar, Taker, Big Show, and at times, Roman Reigns. Hell, I'm still ticked Braun threatened Mick Foley for months to provide him some competition "or else," but never once laid a finger on him. It's not like Foley was physically unable to take it; Triple H got physical before Mick left.

To be fair there's a lot more trust in putting the body of someone like Foley in the hands of a near twenty year vet that has worked with mick before then in a green seven footer

Still leaves a lot of empty threats Braun issued that I don't appreciate.

There's definitely something there with Braun. When I went to one of the shows back in December for the holiday tour, he was quite a attraction. His presence alone is impressive. He is what Big Show failed to be a legit giant who poses a threat to the roster.

You're wrong, but I would say he's the best thing on Raw at the moment.

He's decent, but just far too generic for me to care too much about him. Does he even have a character? Once he's done "I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU" with Roman Reigns, people will stop caring. That's not to say I'm not a fan, but I think the recent love for Braun is only good for his current storyline. I'd say that you're right to an extent, that a lot of the support for him is because he's beating up on Reigns. But people had started to get behind him during his feud with Sami. Its funny because when he showed up as part of the Wyatt Family and then when he showed back up after the brand split, no one had anything good to say about him. But something about the feud with Sami, especially the last match between the 2, really made me and many others take notice of him. Also he had that match with Big Show , early in the year, that although it looked like it was gonna be a boring, turned out to be an entertaining match.
