Can't wait. I have really enjoyed all four movies, even the third one I feel is not as bad as people make out, the only thing I hate is Tia Leoni's character lol.
When the first Jurassic Park came out in 1993 it was the first movie my folks trusted me to go and see with my buddies without any adult supervision so it will always have a soft spot because of that. But above all else, it is just a fantastic movie and one that still holds up to this day. I really like all four, but if I had to put them in order it would be,
Jurassic Park Jurassic World The Lost World Jurassic Park III (really annoys me they gave it a number instead of a sub title)

Not sold on the name tbh, but, I guess they didn't like my idea of "Jurassic World: Isla Sorna Drift" Or "2 Jurassic 2 Kingdom"

I am a gigantic Jurassic Park mark.. The first film is my all time favorite movie, I'm not as high as I once was on Jurassic Park 3.. But I really love The Lost World.
And I GREW to love Jurassic World.. I wasn't blown away in theaters, but on repeat viewings I accepted it for what it was and now have a soft place in my heart for it.
As far as 'Fallen Kingdom' is concerned.. The title is very Transformerish.. And I'm not really into it right now.. We'll see as time goes on but as of right now, I'm just excited for a return to the Park, which is what has been implied so far.. Evacuating the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar.

After they blew it with Jurassic World the story for Kingdom sounds better than any others so far. Hoping it really turns into something good. I also like JP3 better than it gets credit for and I think The Lost World is way overrated. That having been said the first is still so wonderfully great to watch and I do enjoy 2 and 3, Jurassic World I tried to give another chance and will probably never watch it again. We'll see how this fairs!
Just my two cents, I would've rather they just called it 'Fallen Kingdom' and let the logo speak for itself. But I know there are people who either wouldn't be able to handle this/would be confused by it so I get it. Hooray for marketing and focus groups!

I thought Jurassic World was great. I'm not a massive fan of the original trilogy as a whole though. The first film is the only one I hold on an iconic level. So it was relatively easy for Jurassic World to surpass 2 and 3 for me. I'm excited to see them follow it up. I'm loving the idea of Ian Malcolm's return, but definitely curious to hear more about the plot.
I don't really fall one way or the other on the name. I'm just excited to see more.

I don't like the generic title, but it's just a title. That's all it is. I'll live. And as more time passes, my appreciation for Jurassic World lessens. It's really cheesy and I can really only appreciate it on that level. A cheesy popcorn flick. But I want more than that. I'd like to see something different. Something interesting. Something original. Something with a little more depth. I don't know. I just want something a little less forgettable and a little more...masterpiece-ish. You know? So far not so good, considering the title. But I have high hopes.

Jurassic Park is a franchise that didn't need to be a franchise.
Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for it being what it is.. But when you read the first book and then hear that Spielberg had to literally beg and convince Michael Crichton to write The Lost World, you start to wonder what the legacy of Jurassic Park would be without The Lost World, JP3, and Jurassic World.
Jurassic Park alone is an absolute classic that stands as a monumental achievement in technology.. The other ones are not on the same level as JAWS sequels, but close enough.

I'm a fan of the franchise but there is one recurring element that drives me crazy. Why must they include one or more smart-ass kid in every movie? I almost always want them to die in the slowest and most painful way possible. Yet they always live. Grrrr.
Regardless, I'm sure I'll see a new JP film in theaters and enjoy it for the pure escapist entertainment that it is.

Ill start by saying I'm very excited for this new movie. Cant wait to see where it all goes from here...
Jurassic Park is one of my favourite movies ever. Adore it. I find the other 3 VERY rewatchable. I watched JP & Jw back to back one weekend recently & it was a VERY rewarding experience.

The Book didn't have the InGen Hunters trying to capture dinosaurs on Isla Sorna, there wasn't a T-Rex running through San Diego either.

The Book didn't have the InGen Hunters trying to capture dinosaurs on Isla Sorna, there wasn't a T-Rex running through San Diego either. The book is really incredible.. One of the most suspenseful things you'll ever read. But Spielberg left so much out of TLW film, it makes you wonder why he wanted Crichton to write a sequel novel in the first place. The trailers getting demolished, Ian Malcolm's return (when he was ing dead in the first book), and Isla Sorna.. I know I'm missing some things, it's been years since I read the book.. I know the movie is completely different from the book.. Night and day difference. Jurassic Park and The Lost World have so much content that you could make a trilogy without adding much else.. I really wish we could get a faithful adaptation of the books, because they're really remarkable.
