These guys have had by far the weirdest booking since their call up in July. They regularly missed weeks and didn't even do much when they were tag team champions. Then they vanished completely ater WM and on last weeks Smackdown Gable randomly challanges KO for the US title.
Does Vince not like these guys? because it can't understand their weak booking. They are a great team and fantastic wrestlers so they should be killing it in the tag division instead of being part timers.

They've been booked wrong in toy form as well. I live in the UK so we don't get exclusives like 'List' Jericho or TNF American Alpha and Tyler Breeze We're too busy getting thousands of Magnum TA, Tugboat and Harlem Heat.

Putting modern guys in a USA exclusive series is beyond stupid. Guys like American Alpha wouldn't rot shelves like Tugboat does.

IMO American Alpha is one of the most complete teams in wrestling today. There's no excuse for their lack of TV time. I thought a heel turn to feud with Breezango was coming, but that seems to be out the window. So I'm not sure what is going on. Move em to RAW and have Angle take a liking to them. Have him be a mentor.
I think this all goes back to Triple H wanting a game plan before someone is called up. Because these two talented guys are warming the bench on SD while NXT is having a tag team drought. Makes no sense.

I've always felt their call up was really short sighted. I feel like they were just reaching their peak in NXT when the got yanked out to have bodies on the main roster for the brand split. They got the tag belts but something was always coming up. At first it was Slater and Rhyno surprisingly getting over. Then they dropped the belts because it worked into the Orton vs Bray feud. And that whole time there was a feeling that the Usos should have been the top team on Smackdown.
They should have stayed in NXT longer. Their rise there was already almost out of nowhere. If they had more time to develop after losing the tag titles in some other feuds.
I'm not too worried though. Right now it seems like more of a case of WWE not wanting to use them in a way that hurts them. Gable's match with Owens didn't hurt him. He lost but he got a chance to showcase himself. Hopefully their absence is just WWE not wanting to job them out or put them in ridiculous sketches.

Angle and AA would be very interesting. He could either resent them due to jealously or love them and become their mentor.

I'm a huge AA fan. I think they got called up a bit too quick. Plus Smackdown being only 2 hours doesn't help.

He would overshadow them and at least right now they can't compare to Angle. Plus they would also get compared too much to Worlds Greatest Tag Team.

Not everyone watches NXT and people who don't know them would see them as a random team who just appear now and again. They need to get over and for that to happen strong booking is required. Look at Nakamura they are showcasing him every week and it's working but if they did the same with American Alpha they would be on top of the tag division. Gable's match with Owens was good but made no sense. They return after months and no explanation of their absence was given by the announcers.

They should have been the ones to have jumped Enzo and Cass, and then they could have had Angle smile and shake both their hands at the end of Raw.
But that would have been creative, fresh and new.... so good thing it didn't happen.

But it's easier to start building them up again when they have a direction and haven't been buried. Also I think a lot of people would debate whether or not Nakamura's booking has been working. I personally don't have a problem with it, but have heard people complaining that he doesn't have the same mystique he had in NXT because he's just having regular matches. For example, my cousin is kind of a casual fan. He watches RAW, Smackdown, and some PPVs. I think last week or the week before he texted me during Smackdown and said "I don't get the hype for this Nakamura guy. He's all legs. He just kicks and knees people and people sing his entrance. He doesn't seem any different from anyone else."

I really don't see why they weren't traded to RAW during the Shake up. When it was first announced, they were the first guys I thought of who could benefit by moving shows and not only did they not get moved, it only feels like this week is the first time I've seen them since Mania.

I do suppose the Usos are the only Heel Tag act that has any momentum they can face but still. Have these guys do backstage skits or some singles matches against lower end guys and then have the losers team up against them the following weeks or something.

The New Day is great and they had an amazing match with the Usos at MITB so I hope that keeps going. Another reason they (AA) should've went to RAW as well I'd say (not to mention RAW doesn't have Golden Truth or Cass & Enzo anymore).

American Alpha should have been the first SmackDown Tag Team Champions, while they were red hot. WWE waited too long, and their momentum was lost.
