The only sting figure I am happy with is the defining moments. The rest are a pile of crap. everything to me seems all wrong. Especially the legs. Since when did sting have skinny legs. The guy was solid all over. The surfer dm sting is absolutely awful. And yes the bash at the beach is not much better. I really hope the next sting will be much much better. Here's hoping. .. I agree. I wish that Mattel would attempt to correct the crow's boots to a taller one, the one they made is inaccurate. I also think the singlet Stings are all over the place. The ringside one has a super thin torso (for his WCW days) which doesn't look right in comparison to the thick legs he has, small arms and wrong logo placements as well missing lines around the lips. The modern ones have inaccurate boots and I feel that the small torso the ringside has would work better. I'm a huge Sting fan which is why I'm concerned so much. I've waited a long time to get some nearly perfect Sting figures.

I feel like this was discussed at length, at nausea, months ago It's actually 'ad nauseum' No, this time it was at...we literally were puking on each other while discussing it...thats just how disappointed us Sting fans were.

I don't get where Sting's head was accidental, yet we see the same scale head on other figures being released. Beefcake is another good example. Displaying him next to Hogan and other older figures really makes his head stand out. I haven't done a side-by-side with the Beefcake Jakks head and Mattel head, but I swear it has to be the same size. If Mattel continues to make larger heads, there's really no reason not to pull head portraits from the Jakks run for figures we haven't received yet.

That's exactly what's keeping me from buying the set.

Once you raise the head so the figure has a neck straight forward I don't think it looks too bad, but from a profile it still looks large.

That's exactly what's keeping me from buying the set. Same. I saw the set in person, picked it up, looked at Sting's head, then looked at Macho's head. Then I LOL'd and put the set back down and went home. Maybe if it goes down to clearance I'll pick it up.

I thought you were a Sting mark? Lmao Because it is a $50 or $60 set and I only take figures apart when I have multiples. I have one on my shelves and another MIB (well I did raise his head before I resealed it) but once it goes on sale or clearance I will do a torso swap. But I would still need to get another e39 Bulldog for the torso first. And other than a couple Sid figures at one WalMart e39 has dried up around here.
