Spotted this on insagram but using phone phone so can't post the image
But this person has blueprints for unreleased 12" hasbro line based on go joes.
If someone could put the photos up here for me that would be great! Another recent awesome hasbro find!!!
It's for a macho man but I think he might have more

Wow, that's insane to learn. I wonder if I would have bought them back in the day... Very interesting to see about that unknown Macho Man head, too! link: http://instagram.com/p/BV8dQOxBd13

Very interesting find! Yeah, that must be what the Hogan head was for too. Wonder who else would have been in the line? Or maybe just Hogan and Savage. Guess Warrior wasn't in the company in 93' and not sure if they would have gone for any of the younger guys like maybe Bret?

Maybe that other Undertaker head, too? He wasn't 'as' legendary as Hulk & Macho at that point, but still a huge name.

not sure how popular it would have been e.g WWF Ken doll Yeah, really. I was thinking it would've been similar to the 16" LJNs, and back in the day I barely knew anyone who had one. I think the only person I knew that had one was my oldest cousin who was a total rube and thought he'd retire on it

I probably would have bought these too. I kept buying just about any figures that came out after Hasbro, I bought everything I could get my hands on from just toys and jakks up until some point around 99' or 2000. I even had those big hall of fame statue things that eventually came out of Andre and Snuka.
But, I have no fondness for anything other than the Hasbro line now. Looking back now, I wonder if had the internet been around and customs easily accessible by the mid 90's, I probably would have just put my money into custom Hasbros and not bothered with any of the other stuff from Jakks and Just Toys.

interesting mattel are doing something similar now with the diva ones There have always been 12" wrestling dolls like these. Usually just reserved for a small additional line. LJN did them, Galoob, Jakks etc. Check out Jakks Federation fighters.

I would have bought these at the time, I must say. Not as desirable as the original Hasbro's though, in my opinion of course. The simplicity and cartoon style of the Hasbro's is one of the main reasons we loved them so much, so this would have been a bit of a strange one back then. Very cool, nonetheless.

I think they would have sold OK at retail. G.I. Joe had no show at that time, only a comic book IIRC and was far less popular than it had been, and people still bought their HOF figures. I think people get overly hung up on the "dolls" vs "action figures" thing. You can see a couple Neanderthals complaining about it in the Mattel 12" thread.
IMO if a boy sees a pretty cool looking 12" Hogan (or I guess Cena nowadays) he'll want it. It's a wrestler. Noone's going to say you're gay or something.
