Low viewership. Doesn't make sense producing a show if it's not watched as much as they hoped and compared to other content on the Network. I actually never watched all 3 shows you mentioned too oddly enough. If that were the case, 205 Live would have been cancelled before Talking Smack. I'd guess one of the biggest factors in this is simply logistics. Asking members of the roster, production, Renee Young, and Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon/JBL to stick around beyond 205 Live on the last day of their work week is a bit of a drag. Not to mention, the show isn't nearly as compelling when Bryan isn't on it, and that's becoming more of a normalcy now that Birdie has arrived. All things considered, though, canceling 205 Live and keeping Talking Smack in the 10:00pm slot would probably have been a far better idea. 100% agree with everything you said. 205 Live should never of been a show to begin with. Look at the first draft in 2002 when the cruiserweights were exclusive to SmackDown, they didn't need their own hour show plus a segment on another show to build up feuds for the cruiserweight title. They were able to accomplish it weekly on SmackDown, but the cruiserweights back then were more entertaining and had much better characters. Keeping the cruiserweights secluded to 205 Live and one segment on RAW hurts them imo, it doesn't give them the opportunity to wrestle anyone else outside of their decision. Take Rey Mysterio in 2002 for example, he was in the cruiserweight division and was able to have matches against the likes of Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero whilst either being a singles competitor or teaming with Edge. And in 2003 he was facing the likes of Brock Lesnar, Big Show and Undertaker. I would love to see Neville (or Aries whilst he was in the company) face someone like Finn, Joe, the Hardyz etc. Talking Smack should've aired straight after SmackDown whilst the viewer was still invested in it, hopefully it will still be entertaining after the SmackDown PPVs which I don't doubt.

It's also worth noting, Bryan and Renee may not have been notified prior to this decision being made. It sounds like they both maybe found out on Twitter.
Which, for Renee, really sucks. You could tell, based on her response, that she is disappointed. First they kill off Unfiltered, and now Talking Smack - the two avenues Renee had to show that she was more than just the girl holding the microphone. It's no secret she's drawn interest from other companies, and it'd be a shame if WWE lost her because of stupid, unprofessional behavior like this.

They should throw Renee on commentary she's much better than JBL,Booker T and David otunga.

Vince McMahon gets triggered when anything he doesn't create gets popular. Because wrestlers were able to go on Talking Smack and be out of character, and many of the people who are typically seen as BORING when in character, were so positively received out of character....Vince got upset.
The scripts and characters he create can't get over, but the talent just being themselves on Talking Smack got over.....the fans really enjoyed the show, too....so Vince cancelled it, because how dare the fans decide what they want to watch? How dare the fans want to choose who to cheer and boo?
It's Vince's way or the highway. He'll intentionally lose money before he EVER changes his plans or admits he doesn't know it all or made a mistake.

I love how just last week absolutely nobody was bothering their ass with Talking Smack, now that it's been cancelled everyone on my Twitter is suddenly big fans and outraged that they would cancel it. And if you were to ask those people to name one good moment on Talking Smack that isn't that Miz promo from LAST YEAR, I bet they'd struggle. It was a decent little show but I hadn't watched it months, especially now with how mediocre SD has become. I'm not going to miss it because I no longer even watched it.
