Just wanna put out a few thoughts and questions to you guys. First off, anyone notice after last night (with a few figures in the ring) that it looks like the perfect in between of the Basic & ESR/ASR? The new photos shown at Comic-Con don't look 20X20 either, but more 18x18. The ring looks smaller than the Jakks RealScale too. Very interested in getting the exact details of what the exact dimensions are. I know this board has been split over the last 7 years about the rings, some think the ESR/ASR are perfect, others think they dwarf the figures and are just too big. Finally, it said it'll be customizable, but how will the LED ringposts work for a retro ring? Anyway, I'm delighted with it, rings are one of my favorite things about collecting. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

I like the scale and what I'm interested in more is how the lighting features work. I also think the turnbuckles kind of suck because they're not removable, I think for the price it should include the feature. It's a cool ring for those who want it, I'll stick to my esr.

I wish all this cool stuff came out when I actually had the imagination and time to play with my figures. I was stuck with jakks

The scale looks very good in that pic and as for being customisable, I'm not sure if it's intended to be modified to look like the old school rings but moreso SmackDown or NXT. That's just my speculation though.

I thought from the first time seeing it that it looked to be a great size. The only problem for me was the price (and that I'd rather have an NXT ring but it will come down the line, I'm sure).
I'll probably drop the cash on it because I'm currently without a ring (my Jakks Hardcore ring with Ring Gear Turnbuckles was in storage at my mom's and she accidentally threw it away..)
I'm hoping they come out with turnbuckle/rope sets for this ring for Smackdown/NXT, etc. rings kind of like what Ringside has available for the ASR.

My only complaint is the turnbuckle pads make it look like a kids spring ring...not something I should be paying $100 for. Fix that, and I might consider it.

Is it just me or do the steps now look way too big in comparison?

Okay, I'm sold. It looks fantastic. I can't wait. My guess is the LED boards are clear plastic with LED lights around the parameter and there's a cloth skirt behind ot which can be removed. That could explain why the logo is so dark- because there's a bug hunk of plastic in front. Either the LED board can be removed, or the skirt can slide up for removal.
I would buy this and a Smackdown and NXT ring. Even at the price point. Hell, I paid 300 for the Mattel ESR new-in-box and it was partially broken when I opened her up. I still didn't give a crap. I'm just ring crazy.

It's still supposed to be 20x20. I guess we'll know for sure once we see images of the packaging (or if Bill gets asked about it before then).
That means it will definitely be smaller than the Jakks Real Scale Ring.
I would love to see an 18x18 ring with authentic scale parts. A classic WWF ring at that size would especially be a dream come true for me.
I don't know how this will work with the LED ring posts and all. The ring skirts and ropes will be able to be switched out, or so we've been told. I suppose that means we'll be able to use it for the current shows at the very least.
Mattel (not WCT) had a SmackDown Scale Ring in the works at one time, too. It was said to include three AAA batteries and it cost $79.99. Maybe it will be the alternative to the Raw Scale Ring?

Is it just me or do the steps now look way too big in comparison? They certainly look longer and out of proportion. Imo they should be the length to where the 3rd step ends.

It's the only way to get 2017 Goldberg!!!
That sucks - I hope they aren't pulling a Hollywood Hogan again.
Now I have to buy a $100 ring I don't want or need (MOC collector) to get Goldberg from his lastest run. Oh well, smart business move MDT... sneaky barstards ;P

I'm sure we'll get a WCW Goldberg pretty soon and a 2003/04 Goldberg - but if this is the only way to get a modern/2017 Goldberg... then it sucks.

Only gonna get the thing if Mattel ever commits to future scale play sets: HIAC, Elimination Chamber, etc.
Anyone with knowledge of WCT's standing on their rings, by the way?

Looks better with the added WWE logos on the corner pads, starting to change my mind about this now, only downside is the steps don't look like they break apart.
I also only collect the female Superstars so this would be more to scale for them, I might wait to see if they eventually release at least a steel cage to go with it before I purchase one, but at least now it's a maybe.
