If I understand correctly, and please correct me if I'm wrong. Basics prior to SDCC '17 were able to turn 360 degrees at the top of the bicep and the elbow only moved up and down 90 degrees like? Basics after SDCC '17 are able to turn 360 degrees at the elbow and the elbow still moves up and down 90 degrees like? So the swivel is now at the bottom of the bicep and incorporates the elbow bend? Can someone tell me what's so bad about this? It doesn't seem that bad as I understand it. I can totally see Bill releasing a statement "Elbow pads are now being painted so it doesn't hinder articulation."

It just looks more natural when the swivel is at the bicep
Of course I just collect Elites, so as long as those stay the same, I'm good.

It is like the Multiverse Arrow or SW Black figures now. So the elbow now has a hinge and swivel To be fair, those Multiverse suffer from outdated articulation. So much so that highly respected youtube reviewers never recommend them, unless for Jay C. He's a fan boy for all things DC. I can't say much about the Black series, I don't collect star wars. You do realize most Multiverse figures have the exact same articulation as a Basic figure right? Ball jointed heads-both Ball jointed shoulders- both Bicep/elbow rotation- both (some multiverse figures rotation is in the bicep cut, some in the elbow) waist rotation- both wrist rotation- both T-joint crotch- Basic Ball jointed crotch- Multiverse Thigh rotation- Multiverse Boot cut/rotation- Basic Ankle pivot- both What you're hearing from your "highly respected youtube reviewers" are people who feel that a kids toy (which is exactly what Mattel makes) isnt as up to quality as something from some japanese import company, NECA or some other high dollar collectable. Which they shouldnt be. I can drop my Multiverse figures off the roof of my house and not damage them. I have to use stands, sticky tack and other things for NECA/Figuarts because if they hit the ground, they break easily.

Pisses me off because its less parts for customizong and fix-ups. So dumb. I collect Neca, marvel legends and Black series so Im familiar with this articulation but I dont want it on my wwe figs.

I can atest to Multiverse figure being broke upon openning, just as well as PJ can. So don't even defend Multiverse durability. Same respected reviewer praised Harbro's Marvel Legends (some of those reviewers disliked ML at the start). There is a difference between cuts and execution. Mattel cuts a lot of corners with Multiverse. They are cheaply made and I don't collect anymore. Mattel needs both the kids and collectors... how many wwe lines have Mattel scrapped? Do you think Hasbro style figures were intended for kids? The only kids getting classic hasbro style figures are kids that belong to collectors or kids that ride the WFIGS community hype train. The thing about comparing other lines to WWE toy lines is that it's flawed. It's apples to oranges. The true testament to the changes is comparing what you were getting for $10 and what you will be getting for $10. I'm not dead set against it, but it's hard to believe we will get the same or better articulation. This is especially true when you consider ankle articulation being non-existent.

Im not saying Multiverse is perfect but to act like WWE mattel figures are far superior is laughable. Its the same company, same plastic, same factory and essentially the same exact articulation. Ive seen Multiverse figures break...Ive also seen WWE figures break. BFD, every company will have figures that break. Multiverse figures are still much more durable then the majority of import toy lines.

I haven't had any Multiverse break I have had tons of DCD/DCC break out of package. As far as Mattel's SC lines go I have only had a DCSH Steel figure break because of a fused bicep and 4 Movie Masters Hal Jordan that all had the same fused hip.

So you just broke your own figure. As in it can't be put back together? Because you want me to delete my account? Priceless.

Don't mind the reason behind the change, just hate the way it looks. But now we have to worry about elbow pads limiting articulation in the whole arm. Curious to see how this is going to work out with those who need elbow pads. But painted elbow pads = money saved for me Just hope they leave elites alone
