I read a figure review that mentioned Hideo Itami's initial figure seeing poor sales. Aside from anecdotal evidence of shelf warmers, is there any way to find out which figures are selling the most and if possible, the exact amounts? I doubt we can find out the latter but it's worth a shot asking.

No chance of finding out. But I'll give you some names John Cena, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, anyone on tv a lot, that's why they're on tv, because they're popular. Nobody sells anywhere near as much merchandise as John Cena, nowhere close. Also, any figure they make multiples of is a very good indication they sell well. But the single biggest seller would be John Cena, no question.

whatever happened to RSC's top ten list? Do they still do that? It's not reflective of global sales of course, but I always root for the black folding chair!

Huh, I always thought it was the reciprocal of that, as in Reigns being behind Roman, unless we are utilizing the Japanese style of surnames coming before given names!

At one point - Cena was outselling the entire roster combined with Merch.
When it comes to figures, the best way to tell is to see who has mutiable releases in short periods. I would suggest in recent times, Cena, Seth, Roman, DA and New Day have done very well. No real surprises there I wouldn't think.

I bet it's E26 Ultimate Warrior based solely on how many were produced. If not him then any figure that were shipped 3 per case.

I doubt we can find out the latter but it's worth a shot asking. You can do so math and get a range, but exact numbers are unknown to anyone but Mattel. FiND out the exact numbers of Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us stores there are, most stores get 1 - 2 cases of elites and basics. Say Hideo was 2 to a case, that's 4 figures assuming the store got 2 cases and multiple that by say 7000 stores. So roughly 30,000 Hideo figures domestic.

You can never find the exact amount of which figure sells the most. For example, basics purchased from Target will share the same DPCI.

When Mattel release quarter numbers to stock holders and the press, they don't give numbers of how much individual toys are sold. I doubt even Bill get told what is selling strong or weak.

Even the top selling figures don't even come close to Jakks UFC, the best-selling action figure line of all-time.
