I would love to know what is going on HOF as well. Anyone remember a few years back there was a show right after SDCC, any one remember what that was?

Here are the pics again in case anyone forgot what Hall of Fame Series 5 looked like at Ringside Fest last October: I don't know if this lineup still stands, or if there'll be anymore Hall of Fame figures, but I hope we find out soon. If a question is not asked for the Q&A, I would say that is a bad sign. Until then, we just have to wait and see.

That George Steel figure would undoubtedly give the multitude of Titos at all my local Targets some company on the pegs for a long time to come. I hope they decided to axe that one if HOF 5 ever hits.

I hate this line simply for distribution
In what roughly 3 years we've gotten 4 series
Seems like it takes forever to get any of the Hof sets out

While on the subject of diesel can anyone clarify a quick question on the last one?
I've seen it on eBay with and without an elbow pad, did it have one or not?
Cheers

Im sure its done and it has nothing to do with the consumer. Mattel's piss poor distribution has shot themselves in the foot time and time again. If they could get their heads out of their asses they could actually have a successful line. Most people got series 1, most got series 2. Some got more Series 2 and some got series 3. Some got more of series 2, some got series 3 and some got series 4. Some never got anything after series 2....There should have been at least a case of every series in every single Target. No excuses. It has everything to do with the consumers. You can't argue that Mattel makes toys intended for kids with lines like this and hasbro style figures. The collector demographic was Mattel's target audiance. Poor distribution is an excuse. You, me, and the rest of the collectors aren't enough to keep things going. The Legends line died quickly and now we are watching the Hall of Fame line die a slow and miserable death. I think that this should prove that while there are a few strong names from the 80s and prior, none are enough to warrant a series devoted to the collectors. I'm hoping to see HOF5, but I wouldn't hold me breath at this point.

Mattel has created and shipped the product to warehouses, from there its up to each individual target location to order product for their store. Stores wont order new product if the old sets arent moving. And they dont even know its a NEW set because they all have the same DPCI numbers. Thats why im scarred about the future of the nxt target line. Im assuming theyll all have the same item and dpci numners. So even though its a new set, will target bother putting them.on shelves if old units are still there?

I can't blame distribution on Mattel because they don't ship to individual stores. They ship it to the retailer's distribution centers and they ship it to their stores. So for distribution that is on he retailers. Like I said in another thread retailers decide which of their stores get product and which don't...instead of making sure all their stores get the same product. My area WalMarts never carried DCUC including their own exclusives after series 2. The manager would try and order them, but the warehouse wouldn't ever accept the order, because it wasn't part of the stores pologram. I had to drive an hour north or down to NJ to get DCUC from WalMart. And with Target their warehouse won't send more until the stores inventory is down to 3 or less. So if someone hides or steals any figures there might be none on the pegs or the stockroom, but their system will still show it as in stock. So if that isn't corrected you can easy miss an assortmemt.

No excuses. I only have 1 Target even remotely near me, which is almost an hour away ... they never got anything past series 2. I'm glad that I ordered Series 3 online, because HOF seems to be a victim of piss poor distribution. I don't blame Target one bit for this lines failure. My gut feeling tells me that this line is now done. You can add that to the fact that NOTHING from last years HOF line was shown at SDCC this year either White Tights '92 Jake Roberts, '94 Heel Diesel, '92 Roddy Piper are all MUSTS in a flashback collection ! I mean it will seriously be such a damn shame if they don't come out, just because of distribution ... a real damn shame. The question better be asked at the Q&A about the HOF line, because we all know it takes 6 months to get a new figure, we know John Cena & Roman Reigns will continued to be pushed out because kids love him, we know the possibility of new entrance stages are there because they change them every few years ... we know we're going to get a WCW Goldberg at some point ... seriously, we get it ... please ask about stuff that we don't normally get inside knowledge on.

Has anyone seen evidence that any of these figures have been made? I'm not aware of a single one showing up on ebay, sold in australia, or otherwise, which is a very bad sign.
I'm also purplexed how we get a great new head scan of Piper, but not even a basic with that likeness shown at SDCC. He had multiple variations of T-shirts and different colored kilts he wore. Piper also wore shirts with collars from time to time. Granted the basics are not likely to come with kilts, but at least give us the head for cryin out loud with a shirt variation or two. The DM Macho Man has barely hit shelves and we already have a basic Macho King coming with the same head scan within a month!
It's a shame too because we were long overdue for a new Piper prior to it being shown last year, and now we're having to wait another year.

I love the legends - hall of fame line. As stated I like how they put a new legend in every elite line and don't like when they don't do it. That combines history with the present. But as far as these lines go ... I think if they took famous matches or rivalries that would be a great way to sell these lines. Snuka (fixed) vs Piper. Backlund vs Hart. Sting vs Flair. Harley Race vs. Flair etc ... Muraco vs Snuka. Then you can get cool retro packaging showcasing the timeline of when the two fought and they background.
