I fully expect this to be locked before I'm out of my court date.

Seen plenty of smudges like that. A benefit of shopping in store is that you can see the figure before you buy it.

To be clear, my main issue was NOT with the smudge on the "P1" logo as much as it was with the kickpad missing a line on it. I think some people are missing that.

so because its a $20 toy its acceptable ro have flaws? lol I guess $20 is hard to come by for some? Expecting a mass produced toy to be flawless is like expecting a Chevy Malibu to be the same quality as a Mustang. You guys are SOOOO cheap it cracks me up! To sum it up. You all expect way too much. Oh and my AJ happens to not have the paint flaws yours does. Bought my in store too. You're making enemies here quick buddy. Whatever hype you're on I suggest you tone it down before the Admins start to notice and introduce you to the boot.

Maybe he is going about it wrong, but he is correct it is a mass produced item so there will always be some sort of flaws. There's no way around it.

That's one thing about Jakks although the figures where total garbage at times quality control was far superior to mattels! If you wanted a perfect cruiserweight Big Bossman Jakks could give you it!

I realize I'm blind...what am I missing as far as this "smudge" goes? I see the boot not being completed...
I bought an elite 19 Punk years ago that didn't have the tats on the back of his left arm and Mattel was nice enough to hook me up with a voucher.
Btw, thanks again @heroesandmartyrs for the Punk. Never found him after the one time I found him at retail.

To me a few paint errors on a $20 mass produced figure isn't a big deal, but to a lot of people $20 for a figure is a big deal. For a lot of people, a $20 figure is kind of a luxury item. Not everyone makes good money and lives comfortably, so being bummed about spending money that's hard to come by and getting something less than what you expected is understandable. My brother is 10 years younger than me and when he started collecting figures he was already used to the $15-$25 standard price figures. I remember when I was a kid and figures were $3-$5. Even then my mom would tell me she could only afford to get me one or two figures. Other than that I'd have to wait for my birthday and Christmas. I can afford now to spend $20 on a figure and not be pissed when there are some flaws and buy imports or Mezco figures, but it's kind of offensive to make light of people venting about frustration with quality.

I read through a portion of this then stopped. If you're gonna complain about your money situation do it on Facebook because in the real world no one owes you anything. I make great money and a lot of that has to do with the path I choose. As far as a kid and his money...when I was a kid I didn't get bent out of shape over a paint smudge. I still don't . Some of you come on here and complain like Mattel should hire people to go over each figure with a fine tooth comb but then you would be upset at the price increase. When Jakks started having issues with the quality of their figures I stopped buying. Didn't attempt to die on cross, didn't call out the design team and didn't talk about things I didn't completely understand. Also some of you keep making remarks about me working for Mattel or having stock. I'm neither of those. I love what they do and don't want a few cheap figure collectors to ruin it for me. Also you could always return the figure like an adult instead of posting on here.

The smudge to the lower right of the 1 in "P1" appears to be a common flaw. The missing kick pad design is another story. I would definitely look into the voucher idea SporeSpam shared on the first page.

Amazing how some people don't see the deal with getting a flawed item. It's bad enough this figure doesn't even have the proper parts or kneepads and then to add qc issues. It's not a $20 when you have a collection of 20 or more figures, you've pretty much invested a lot of money. I'm at a stage where I'm hoping the figure I want comes out with the proper parts, then hoping it's available online and then the final surprise waiting to see if it comes with loose joints, paint issues etc. if something isn't done right you just don't sit there and let things happen you stand up for yourself. If it weren't for us giving our input we wouldn't have a lot of the figures we've wanted from Mattel etc. To say our feedback isn't important is ignorant and selfish, we're paying for these products. I get it not everyone will get what they want, but if a issue is brought up constantly maybe it's time for to check to see how to minimalize it or fix it. Then there's other people who say oh they're not making such and such figure because people aren't buying it etc... there's no win...

Totally not true. Any RA styled figure with Hulk Hogan's tall boot mold had one extremely loose foot where the figure couldn't stand for any length of time before falling over. And then there was their first CM Punk where 90% of the board complained about his arm falling off at the shoulder. And like any other company Mattel included they had plenty had poorly painted eyes/eyebrows and scuffed logos.

People having been bitching for years and the loose joints and paint flaws havent changed. So either they cant fix it...or they dont care. Maybe its time to quit complaining and move on from the line or accept it for what it is, not what you wish it was.

If there is one place for collectors to give their opinions this is it.

I just think its a little ridiculous to keep complaining about the same thing for literally years and not see a change and somehow convince yourself you need to keep complaining. Mattel isnt gonna stop having paint issues. You have to accept it or move on. You have to. And it should go without saying, but if 20 bucks is a lot to you and you need perfection to justify the purchase, then you cant afford to collect these figures and need to be more responsible with your money.

kennyw86 it's not only paint flaws... Quite frankly the qc issue hasn't improved, but has gotten worse. 4 or 5 years ago I did not receive a figure with a split seam on it's torso. Maybe out of 10 figures 1 or 2 had a flaw. Now it's more or less like 7 or 10 of the figures we buy come with not a small issue, but big issues. I remember the wolfpac Sting coming with a crapload of problems. I returned mine and the other one came with a screwed up leg. Are we supposed to be okay with this? That figure cost me nearly $33, with all of its aesthetic imperfections aside. I wouldn't have been complaining so much if the figure didn't have a painted torso, missing detail on his face paint, wrong logo placements, small torso and arms and to top it off a shirt he never wore in that style.

Mattel needs to get their crap together. It kills me when people actually defend this type of thing. So you're okay with a flawed product?
Sorry that I'm not going to accept mediocrity in my life.

Where's the smudge anyways? I can't even tell. Sucks about the kick pad though.
