Wwe and mattel are probably running low on "legends/flashback" type individuals. First off, there have been literally thousands of people who have appeared for the company since day one. There is absolutely no danger of ever running out. It's all a matter of putting pen to paper and signing them if there is even a remote chance they might sell...and/or if there is no outstanding issues like lawsuits, grudges, or that they portrayed questionable characters. Second, if Mattel is down that low on reserves that Randy Colley is considered the top guy of what's left...Mattel is truly hugged. Third, when did shirtless guys in tattered blue jeans who carried bones to the ring become "visually interesting"?

If that's the criteria, there's tons of visually interesting people.

I know that there have been thousands of people to compete in wwe/wcw/ecw/other territories that they would never run out of choices to make. I just was saying the people that are willing to sign legend's deals may be lower than what we think. Scott Steiner and other legends have said that there is no money in those deals and some also may not care if they have figures or not. I'm sure there are plenty of legends that would love to have figures, but they should be short packed in my opinion. As far as the visually appealing comment, I was just saying that gimmicky type characters would have a better chance of resonating with kids. There are no figures that would look like the moondogs so they would be different. Like I said, I am not saying he is the best choice for a figure and there are more desired people than him for sure, but if we get the figure it isn't the waste of space everyone is claiming. If moondog rex is what we get as a flashback then so be it, it won't make or break the mattel line either way. For every goldberg, hollywood hogan type figure that everyone is waiting for there is a pedro morales, carlis colon type figure that could be made that would also probably not sell. That is probably why we don't get those figures often, but that doesn't mean that people don't want the character. The original poster wants the figure, judging by the number of votes a few people would buy it. Doesn't mean it will happen. I want a bullet bob armstrong figure (he's in the hof) and I grew up a huge fan of him, but he will likely never be made. Some people just want more obscure people. Nothing wrong with that, but it likely will never happen.

So nobody wants to walk into a store and see a package of an action figure with "deadeye dick" on it? I honestly have no ideas who this persona is, but I would mark out if Mattel had the "testicular fortitude" to put that name on an action figure and sell it in toysrus!!

Deadeye dick was a wcw gimmick of western based desperados looking for stan hansen. It made tv a few times and stan hansen ditched the company and idea feeling like it was not good or never would lead to anything. I don't think mattel would risk it with the character honestly, but it would be funny.

Randy Colley was actually Moondog Rex. He also was one half of the Shadows tag team with Jose Luis Rivera. Larry Booker was Moondog Spot, who passed away in 2003
I would LOVE to add the Moondogs to my Mattel collection. Make it happen Bill!
