Though I was never a "poor" kid or anything, convincing my parents that buying me a new Hasbro was a sound investment was always a bit of a struggle (and £4 seemed a lot of money back in my day ) so right from the start I made the decision not to get any guys I already had when they got new figures - so I had Hogan 2 (my first ever figure!), Warrior 2, DiBiase 1 throughout my childhood; and only replaced Macho King with Savage 4 when the Macho King figure broke. But I did make an exception with the Rockers. I still remember clearly buying the HBK Shawn Michaels and being stunned that I actually owned it. I even bought him before Razor Ramon, who was second only to Bret Hart as my favourite at that time. After getting HBK, I decided to get Marty Jannetty as well when series 10 came-up, so my Rockers figures were both rather redundant at that point. At some point I decided to use them as Well Done since they sort of looked like them and that was about the limit to my imagination as a kid But the resurgence of my Rockers figures as Well Done was short-lived due to a tragic career-ending injury suffered by my Shawn Michaels figure at the feet of my mother I didn't have Demolition as a kid, so I didn't have problems with the releases of Crush and Repo Man (I also remember getting both those figures; Repo I got the day after Ric Flair, at the same place as I would get that HBK figure a year or so later). When I finally did get Demolition, it was Ax and Smash rather than Crush (I got him much later, when I'd stopped playing with them) but I don't remember if I ever had Repo and Smash interact. I can't quite remember then I got Smash, so it might be that I didn't play with them at that point, or that I was so into customising then that Repo Man (like my Hogan, Piper, Warrior, etc.) wasn't getting much use with the Attitude Era guys by the time I got and introduced Demolition into that era. I knew quite early on that Smash was Repo Man though, I remember reading that somewhere as a kid. Given how I was a kid, I probably would've kept them apart as I would've likely taken that sort of thing seriously - for example I retired Owen Hart immediately when he died despite him being a major part of my upcoming PPV at the time. Andre was the only dead wrestler I played with I think because he had already died by the time I got his figure, and I was way younger when I got him so maybe not as fussy about such things at that age as I would become. But had I got Smash first, I still would've got Repo Man but I don't think I would've let them exist at the same time in my fed.

I also remember it well, getting the new HBK and Marty Jannetty and thinking how much better they were than The Rockers figures! (Which they were).

Thanks; so many of my childhood memories involve the Hasbros in some way - when I finally write my autobiography then the first fifteen years of my life will be measured by memories of the Hasbros, WWF PPVs and of my cat, I can't remember much more

In regards to Repo Man/Smash I never knew they were the same guy as a kid.
Other than that I didn't get a Demo Crush until after I stopped playing with my Hasbro figs, so that was never an issue for me, aside from that I think all duplicates were just alternate attires so I used them like that.

I used them as separate people but they probably wouldn't fight each other.
As a kid the different outfits were one of my favourite things.
I remember I always dreamed in the games of being able to choose which colour Flair trunks I'd use each match.
Same goes for the toys.

I never had Demo Crush but I DID have Repo Man,he sat around in my figure box (containing a sizable amount of Mutant Turtles as well as my WWF figures) until I got Nailz then I put him and Repo as a tag team and called them the Rob-inators or something stupid like that, had them fued with Demolition for a while then threw them back into the bin never to be seen in my fed again. As for when I got new figs of HBK and Jennetty well, actually just HBK(who was and still is my favorite wrestler)I just retired the old Rockers version of him and had the new HBK throw the an extra Rockers Marty off my back deck into the gardens below,it's a real wonder how that figure didn't break now that I think about it. I also usually only bought one version of a guy, with a couple exceptions(HBK Warrior 2 Hogan 2 Macho 3)

I barely used Rocker Shawn after I had that awesome HBK figure, but don't remember having much else in the way of new gimmicks. Only because they were tough to find, I don't think I ever saw Kona Crush or Repo in stores because I would have got them. I preferred Warrior 2 over 1, Macho 1-2 and DiBiase 1-2 I would alternate, Hulk 1 over 2 but 3 over them. For any not mentioned I didn't have the other releases or only had the 1st release. When I got HBK, rocker Shawn became Shane Douglas and he teamed with steamboat. That was when Shane was in Wcw with Ricky the dragon and obviously influenced my decision.

They were a separate wrestler in my fed. I remember I used to take the galoob titles, wrap them backwards on a wrestlers face to make masked wrestlers occasionally as well Lmao.

The only time I used felt tips on my figures was a particularly weak red pen to give them blood - I remember doing that with the WCW Galoob figures (Z-Man particularly) as they cleaned-off quite easily and I didn't know who the guys were given the lack of WCW on TV at the time, but I'm not sure I did with the Hasbros - maybe Ric Flair after WrestleMania VIII? I'm not sure. I didn't do it for long though - I was a fussy kid when it came to the condition of my toys, so I quickly grew-out of such childish nonsense

I remember having the single releases of Ax and Smash, and then when I got the 2-pack of Crush/Smash, one of the Smash figs got a bad marker job to change up his face paint and he became "Bash" lol. Demolition was way deep in my Hasbro fed.

They were all totally different guys to me. Any different attire of a certain wrestler I gave a different name, usually a nickname of that superstar. Also did that with the Jakks bonecrunchers as they had so so many repaints. For instance for shawn I would have the original of course, then HBK, the show stopper and so on.

I never got Demolition so I only had the Kona Crush version and Repo Man....unrelated but as far as play goes, I remember when Kerry Von Erich died I had just made Texas Tornado turn heel in my Hasbro Federation. I felt bad and dropped his whole angle and retired him from my Fed lol.
